You guys have inspired me to look into dancing classes 👍 I’ve always enjoyed dancing but never had the opportunity to go take classes as a young person. I have a movement disorder called dystonia. It causes involuntary movements and muscle spasms and has progressed a lot throughout my body recently. So I’m trying to figure what I can do with my body these days. Sometimes, if I can do a voluntary movement, it can stop the involuntary movements or spasms that I get at rest. Hopefully, if I don’t get too excited and over do it 😆 dance can be something that will help manage my condition, be fun and connected with people 😊 It’s actually helpful to see what your body’s muscles are doing when shirtless! It is a lot to try mentally and physically process what muscles to recruit when a few of them are abnormally active. Watch Jason (see reply comment) he has a really severe case of dystonia and this video explains what is going on with our muscles. If dancing doesn’t work out for me, at least I will be able to enjoy your videos. Thanks 💖 xo
Hey Sarah, I’m actually a dancer, 49 but once a dancer always a dancer! I’ve been having involuntary movements which have progressed quite a bit over the past six months. I’m scared to go into the doctor, how were you diagnosed? For me it’s exactly the same in that when I relax or when the muscles are not engaged that’s when the spasms start. When I’m engaged or doing something it doesn’t happen, so strange. Are you in North America?🇨🇦

General doctors can run some tests to see if they can find anything useful and depending on their findings can consult a specialist. In my case I see neurologists with a sub specialty in movement disorders. This is important because they need extra training but it’s also helpful to have a neurologist with experience. I hope you were able to see your doctors and they were helpful. Let me know if you want anymore information.
These kids were dancing in the womb they were stars to begin with they just weren't discovered. I posted every short of them. They worked hard to get where they are even though they were born talented naturally. Great Job.
