My initial thought was what happened in Guyana could happen to my in-laws... Well, some members moved to Corpus Christi, others to St. Louis... I believe since my in laws passed away ,it will take another 20years to de-program the adult children..

Many churches practice 10% tithes, 10% first fruits, and 10% offering. Shekinah church is a separate entity from the dance group management. There are dancers that don't belong to the church. If my mom and dad did all the things Miranda's parents did to her (don't take my word for it... research it) it would take years to repair the damage they have done to their own daughter.

I saw a video the other day of Miranda dancing with her sister and mom and it was more recent - I think April of this year. I guess it is possible this video was in editing while they reconciled.
I moved to LA in the mid '80's; this kind of thing was happening back then. LA is the center of the world for cults and "religions." They know there are a lot of "lost souls," people searching for a "better way" and these scumbags take advantage of these-weak people. for the first two-ish years of my time out there, it seemed like I was being invited to a new "group" every month-including Scientology-and years later,a Korean cult-meeting. All of these groups/leaders know that only a small percentage of those who show up for a "visit" will fall for thier sh*t, so they constantly cast a wide net-bringing in as many individuals as possible-knowing they will "land" the minority.
