Hi Ben, this may not be relevant everywhere, but the UK government issued a “Product Safety Report” on Vevor Ultrasonic Cleaners in December 2022 on the basis that “the products present a serious risk of electric shock as the earthing arrangement on the appliances are considered inadequate.”
Very cool, but I miss the… old days. It was always great with the balance of man and machine. Now you gone all Zen. At least there is more space to play with and it looks very pro. Your electric collection shows how much goes into filming and putting this gig on YT. Thanks for the B shop tour
Looks good! I did like the DIY wooden look of the previous garage iteration. It currently feels a little too "clean" for my taste but I guess that'll change over time as you gather more stuff, hang things up, smash things into the wall, cover up smudges, dents and bonks with random doodads and stickers etc.
This is awesome! Watching this is exciting. I got a long way to go to reach these levels which means I get to buy more cool stuff!!! I’m inspired. The Wife, meh, not so much
Fun content and thanks for spurring some thoughts for much needing revising my bike space in my basement. Great content as always. Merry Christmas to you and your family Ben.
Ben, Awesome video from a fellow Martin Acrerrrr and original neighbor on your street. Beautiful tribute to Gary and Bebe!!!. I was wondering about sonic cleaner size before I pulled the trigger and thanks for that intel.
No problems, and I have asked SRAM and Shimano about this specifically, as well as pro mechanics. It might exacerbate or bring to light a problem, but as long as you don’t have air in there to begin with you’re good.
Is it safe for the enve wheels to hang on those velo hinges? Seems like a lot of pressure on the carbon wheels that may damage them. I’m interested, but skeptical. Help please!!
Good timing! I just filmed a wrap-up on sponsor gear I loved this year, and the Toe Thingies are in there. They are great in that they are warm and super easy to use. Unlike booties, you can just leave them on the shoes. When it is straight-up freezing I will use thick booties, but for everything from, say, 35 to 50 or 55 degrees I’ll use those. They’re best (and probably intended) for road shoes, but I use them on MTB/gravel all the time.
@@TheRidewithBenDelaney Perfect, thanks for your response, greatly appreciated. I hope I will never be riding in temps which require booties, but you never know.
These things are ALWAYS a work-in-progress. Good work! I was one who ragged on you about the look of the "shack" back-in-the-day. Much better now. Your workbench/toolboard is way too small to my liking and there's not enough shelving, but that's me, not you. Why not get your sponsors to cough up some lighted advertising signs since this is also your video studio? Happy Holidays!
Oh, I remember, Larry. I have come to think of you like one of the old guys in the balcony on The Muppets - always heckling. “Zwift?! Who needs such a newfangled thing?! I just ride outside in Tuscany whenever I want because I’m retired. Harumph!” 😁 Happy Holidays, Larry.
I have those wall hooks. Do not get if you plan to hang mountain bikes. The wheel wont fit and you're forced to buy their extended hook for an extra $20-30. I bought blindy cuz i was influenced by scummy influencers
Nice workover on your space Ben. Not a fan of vertical bike storage as hydraulic brakes can and do bleed down from the calipers. One friend recovering from shoulder surgery and the day the doctor released him to ride found that after months of vertical bike storage and jumping on the bike resulted in no brakes and a crash into a vehicle. Merry Christmas to you and thanks for the great content over the past year!
Don't tell this guy recovery from shoulder surgery that! Doh! I have asked SRAM and Shimano and a few veteran mechanics about the vertical storage and hydraulics. They weren't concerned, and over a few years of just hanging bikes on hooks I've had no issues. Sorry about your friend. Merry Christmas!
@@jonathonmcmillan9410, or an issue if you have a reservoir that has a slightly depleted fluid supply. Frequently ridden and vertically hung shouldn’t be an issue. Always give those break levers a good pump before starting to verify.
Our bikes hang vertically. First one with hydro disc brakes went up there 3 years ago. More have been added since, hung either by front or rear wheel to save space. Zero issues to-date, but just like with brakes operated by cables, first thing outta the shop is a squeeze to make sure things are A-OK.
Garage Mahal
That is epic.
Tickled my punny-bone too!
I've found the Husky mobile tool bench to be the best purchase I've made for garage organization in years.
Merry Christmas Ben! Thanks for your great work

I've used those magnets on the wall of my vans and home shop for years. They work very well. Tools stay on the walls even in a mobile mechanic's van
you're setup is so nice and tidy, really nice!

Merry Christmas! Thanks for a bit of BTS.
Ha, I went to High School with Nick. Had no idea he was kicking it out here in Colorado!

Wow, what a nice bike garage! Merry Christmas and keep rolling!

That is a great setup Ben 👍
Thanks!

When you have a drawer full of spare Ti bottle cages 🙂
Everyone needs their spare Dura Ace drawer I guess 😉
Awesome setup Ben! Merry Christmas!
Love that Tarmac
Merry Christmas Ben, thanks for the 2024 uploads. Chat in 2025.🤛🏻
He's come a long way since brothers in arms
my ex gfs parents lived close to boulder i love that place so cool.
It's a beautiful thing!
Have you had hydraulic brake problems hanging bikes by the front wheels? I read Sram doesn't recommend that or hanging bikes upside down.
No problems, and I have asked SRAM and Shimano about this specifically, as well as pro mechanics. It might exacerbate or bring to light a problem, but as long as you don’t have air in there to begin with you’re good.
you almost make it inspirational enough for me to try on my garage mahal. Almost ;-) but maybe one day
So jealous!
Where do you store the household dad tools ? Drills , hammers, circular saw , etc ?
The power tools are all inside the house pantry at the moment, much to my wife’s agitation. 🙃
awesome

no bench vice?
Random question Ben, since wear Castelli, have you used the toe thingy's and if you have what do you think ?Thanks

I appreciate you . Hope 2025 brings new opportunities
Can you talk a bit about your brand sponsorships? eg. what you get and what you do. Is that feedback logo part of the deal to have that on display?
Absolutely. Thanks for asking. Here's how I make money on RUclips: ruclips.net/video/7FJHIexf88Q/видео.html
What is the garage door insulation?
That is some audio stick-on foam I used to try to damp the echo. It probably provides some heat insulation, but not great.
How many sq ft is the shop space?
Checked out at the decomposed foot photo. Jesus.
I thought I had a lot of bike stuff. I’ll show this video to my wife to prove that it could always be worse 😂👍
Most of the bikes are not mine, but don’t tell her that.
Casual enve (e-bike??) just sitting on the deck
Ventum e bike, yeah.

That's only an issue if you have air in your brake lines. Keep up the maintenance and it won't be a problem.

Your wife may be right... you may be a hoarder, lol!
Mine is a mess
Jeez a lot of stuff there that you will never use again.
