Hey, what's a great way to directly contact you with questions? I'm just getting into the paint correction and want to know the best ways and products, and preparation
Eddie since Touchless can be rinsed using a hose. Using it in sprayer makes PIR super easy. 20mil in 1000ml sprayer 2% for the new Touchless double the old.
Yeah I've been playing around with Touch-Less now and found that it is just as good out of a sprayer as it is from a foam cannon, so the math challenged don't have to do a PIR calculation.
It's very simple! It is just as effective from a spray bottle. 20mL in a 1000 mL bottle gives you a 2% solution that works the same as foaming it and uses way less product.
My dad's van has no coating and has been getting undercoated by Rust Check and has some oil on the body, what would you recommended for a pre wash to soften the oil up? Thanks Eddie, for what you do, love your page. Watching from Ontario Canada!!
I don’t have a use for a touch less wash personally. I rather do an apc rinse and rinseless wash. I think the Stars and Stripes is unique in that it’s like a 3ph wash where you hit it with an acidic one and then an alkaline one, with the idea being that the ph shock can help break loose more stuff.
The PIR calc is super easy. Just fill your foam cannon bottle with water and spray it into a bucket until the foam cannon bottle is empty. Measure the amount dispensed. Then multiply by 0.005 (for .5% PIR), 0.01 (for 1%) or 0.02 (for 2%). Or just skip all that and apply it with a trigger sprayer or pump sprayer)foamer. It is just as effective when applying with a trigger sprayer. 20 mL in a 1000mL bottle will give you a 2% solution.
@@jeffc6832 thank you for this. To me it’s causing you to use more product than you necessarily wouldn’t need with other brands. It certainly works it’s just not for me. PIR to me is essentially a scam
Ive used All clean, Fbomb, Ethos , Ductile , green star, msn, car pro was my goto for a bit but never superclean, if you dilute it right dont let it dry you should be good One thing to do is test on a small plastic trim to see how it interacts
I've boosted my soaps with Greenstar in the past and have also used Forst and they both have performed well getting rid of contaminates. The only true tests I have done thus far are SNO and Frostbite foamed on the surface, rinse and then followed up with a rinseless wash and both of those times I had extremely minimal dirt on my towels. I prefer these soaps over an APC because of ease of use with one product for simplicity versus multiple products and dilution ratios. Plus they're ready to go for the next quick wash as well!
@@Ecdetails I have the new touchless having used it since I still have about a half of the old 5 Litter one. But it’s the same ratio % mix to a gallon. So about 4-5 ounces to a gallon.
@@MBV180With the new version I’m only using 2.5 ounces to 1 gallon of water on my IK Foam 12 and that’s when I need the strongest mix on the new version 2 for really dirty cars, I have great results with only 1.25 ounces for a 1% PIR on moderately dirty vehicles.
Hey Eddie, I have a rotary to finish and a DA. I accidentally bought a 8mm instead of 15 mm on Amazon. Its goood but Is it worth returning the 8mm for a 15mm to do 1 steps? God bless you and your family.
The downside to BH Touch-less V2 is that it's 20 bucks to ship one gallon and 25 for two gallons. The shipping raises the cost per ounce by a good bit.
Great vid. FWIW, when my kids come home from college, their cars are usually hammered and smothered with bugs. I've found that Touch-Less worked great on removing the bugs. I'm not sure where I heard it, but somebody on one of their RUclips videos mentioned that the glucose based surfactants (like those in Touch-Less) work especially well on organic matter. I've tried a few other APCs and Citrus Cleaners, but none worked as well as Touch-Less on the bugs. I haven't compared it to a dedicated bug remover, so can't offer any comparison. I used to go old school and spray the bugs with a higher PH soap, then cover with plastic wrap and "marinate" for about 30 minutes to keep it from drying out and allow it to break down the bugs (... plus we live in N. Texas and it gets freaking hot). Now if you asked me, do I NEED Touch-Less the answer is probably not. I do like it and it is part of my detailing chemical arsenal. I've also found the price to be pretty comparable with APCs when you buy it by the gallon/5L.
Im gonna tell you Touchless v2 took all the bucks off the car it was epic, I was referring to removing of grim does it matter? do you need a touchless product , people will use what they like and they have to test BUT I do want to say TOUCH-Less v2 removing bugs Gods work
You really need to look into road warrior or dark fury for pre soak washes. It's like 20x cheaper than all 3 of these products and I love them. Dark fury kills bugs and road warrior can nail black streaking with no contact wash.
Not using it in a foam cannon is the key for me. Using it in a sprayer like the Multi Pro 9/12 brings the cost down tremendously. I usually mix up ~5 liters with 100ml of Touch-less which allows me to do 3-4 cars depending on size.
This, with the new version 2 I do a 2% when is really dirty once a month…usually only need a 1% wash monthly with a rinseless wash eveey week in between. At that dilution with the IK foamer ir ends up being as cheap if not cheaper as any reputable APC like Green Star. No need to reinvent the wheel when there is a proven option available.
@@RowlandPeters It works excellent search here on RUclips for “Detailing Projects Bilt Hamber Touchless” that’s a review video and that’s how the guy uses it.
I prefer to use my normal foam cannon mix of Incredible suds and just add in some all clean if needed and the amount I use is based on how dirty. You could also just spray the APC on the dirty area and then normal foam on top. These touch-less are far too expensive to me and the amount of product needed good lord. If your car is coated it’s going to clean easily anyways unless you have been letting it get clogged up and need a decon wash.
Cool comparison Eddie, ADS' APC looks like its coming along nicely. And yea... Bottom-Up rinsing can stay over in Europe, makes more work for me and I see no difference lol
I’ve been using super clean I throw it in my foam cannon and it does the job. I always hear it’s bad stuff and I definitely agree if you’re not careful. I’m definitely looking at touchless because it’s so hyped. But maybe after this video I just need a good APC that isn’t toxic…
TOUCH-LESS is our new eco-friendly pressure-washer, pre-clean, snow foam which can be applied by pump spray or trigger too. Applied at between 0.5% - 2% PIR this bio-degradable sugar-based product provides truly exceptional levels of cleaning of automotive paintwork. Unlike other petrochemical-based cleaners TOUCH-LESS is free-and-easy rinsing, easing the effort of subsequent bucket washes and massively helping post-treatments bond too. TOUCH-LESS also contains corrosion inhibitors. Packed in a 1 litre bottle, contains no phosphates, solvents, NTA, or caustic soda. No bad 💩
My wife complained to my mom that I was washing my coupe for the second time in a week and her minivan was still dirty, so far I've been saying that birds shit on my car and I had to wash it 😂 but in reality, it takes a little longer to wash a minivan properly and when I do it, I give it 100% effort and quality.
You do the trial on a spotless truck that looks like it just rolled off the production line and the result is they both clean the same. Who wudda thunk it! Try doing the same test on a truck that hasn't been washed for six months in winter weather and you'll see B+H is streets above anything else.
Truck wasn’t spotless - had bugs all over so the test in that respect is valid. Any soap on a “muddy” but I get what your saying and well re test but I’m Not sure bilt is better then chem-x
One attacks dirt only and one attacks dirt and the protection...especially with how eco touchless v2 is, its an easy choice. Keep the apc for engine bays.
Did you test the new BH Touch-less on the wheels/tire like you did with the APC from ADS? That would have been a good to know how it would work on wheels/tires. They seem to all perform the same but does the fact that the vehicle was ceramic coated? Try on a non coated vehicle. How does it any of these compare to Stars and Stripes? A video comparo on the BH, the ADD APC, Dark Fury, DIY Detail AllClean etc and the Stars and Stripes would be great to put it all out there.
Bilt Hamber is godlike - I see a lot of you guys whining that it's expensive, here in EU is dirt cheap, it's like with Ethos or ADS or even P&s or other US stuff here in EU - they are cheap in the US - expensive here in EU. And as someone here stated - one attacks only dirt - the other attacks the dirt and the LSP.. Talking from experience - used Surfex HD on CanCoat Evo (fresh one - 3 months) and it destroyed it in about that time.
Man I wish I could get 55 gallons of trace less best glass cleaner man , also it’s true for us is expensive for y’all is probably the best bang for your buck
So what they say with the bilt hamber there's no caustic chemicals that would cause corrosion, but most apc would have that in.... i even switch to surfex HD Great comparison, bro. i do enjoy this video
I only use bilt hamber products in my detailing business, as it also prevents rust with the atom mac series plus the glass cleaner is amazing another thing is bilt hamber is not costic and no phosphates, Apc i would never use on paint as i want a slick surface to avoid scratches 😊 next time put the car in the sun , high end black car and use apc that has NOT been ceramic coated . Apc is super cheap , but if you leave a scratch on say a bugatti , Ferrari , just saving a dime will not be worth it
@Ecdetails please keep in mind the long term use of strong surfactants on a car panels, bilthamber has several types in their line up that actual prevent rust or eat rust, which is a bonus in rust belt areas. Yes using just a apc is cheaper in the short term but for myself my clients are on long term commitment so I treat a cars like human skin, paint needs to be nourished and replenished , apc will dry it out plus eats wax and ceramic coatings and both are not cheap to apply in the first place , as lots of the cars I do state to use products like swissvax and if a apc is used then say good bye to a customer and wax
@@rdeh1678Bilt Hambler does have strong surfactants - that's how it cleans. Without caustic ingredients, and without strong surfactants, the only remaining way to clean would be with solvents which would be even worse than surfactants for paint protection and components of your car. Surfactants are the method of cleaning that's least likely to cause degradation in materials or paint protection.
@@havingtoomuchfun4806 if you add 15ml to 1.5l (1%, or equivalent of 19c - yeah it's 1l for £10 here) in an IK sprayer, it's a Goldilocks ratio, cleans really well. Unlike an APC, this doesn't bash it's way through LSP's. So cheap, cleans well, leaves BSD alone and is environmentally friendly-ish (if you care about that kind of thing). For the love of god, don't dump 250ml in a foam cannon. Treat this stuff as a prewash, not a Snowfoam.
@@pigeonpoo1823Exactly what I commented before, this is the most efficient way to use these products, in a IK Foam Sprayer….I only use 1.25 Ounces for a 1 Gallon of distilled water and I wash a full size truck including wheel wells and wheels. That equals to 135 washes at 1% and 67 at 2%. Makes no sense to look elsewhere. Less than a dollar per wash!
@@Ecdetails the forst is mighty and works wonders on tires too. But the Touchless at 2-4% in the Pump sprayer is just a weapon. Didn't compare them side by side but on wife's white car, the dirt just completely melts when using the Touchless. Only saw close to the same effect from Koch Chemie vbn but at 10% dilution.
I can assure you that there are a great number of people that it appeals to. People with disabilities, injuries, or older age still like to take care of their vehicles while lowering the impact that it has on their bodies.

APC is the way to go. Green star or ADS fixed in with their soaps. I have done it like this ever since green star came out. You are not saying “touch less” doesn’t work you as comparing the cost. It’s a no brainer.
man I love apc, but then I enjoyed the touchless experience as well for me I can keep apc mixed ik foam proper dilutions do the whole car spray off get to work . There is a bunch of apcs as well
Quick google search of Bilt Hamber is pH 12, most Apc's are pH 10-12. So they are both caustic (i.e. Base). Dark fury which I like is pH 11, dirt cheap for gallon, and dilutable (1-4, 1-10). Only thing I haven't seen for comparison is how they effect car coatings. That is something I would love to see.
@@Ecdetails The SDS does not show anything about it being caustic. Even on the Bill Hamber website it says no caustic sodas used. Also, for @bobstudent10 the SDS says is 10-11 pH.
It has pH of 10.5 according to the "Touch-less New (presumably version 2)" SDS issued on 4/2023 and the only mention of corrosion is "skin corrosion - no data available".
the touchless is a buzzword. i also believe they have said they tone down the alkaline to 11 or 10 compare to V1. I personally prefer autofoam from BH cause it has a 22lit barrel and is 13ph not as foamy a MJJC is almost must have with it.
@@Ecdetails i believe is better and for in between washes to remove residue and proceed to the next step. Hey EC, great video! Could you do a comparison of labocosmetica primus 2.0 vs bilthamber touchless? Thanks!
Yes I will , it will be in a few weeks or so
Eddie since Touchless can be rinsed using a hose.
I think all of it can be used with a hose, ALL clean, fbomb, msn etc
@@Ecdetails That beaker is awesome. Where did that one come from?
@@wescat2 Koch chemie website
@@Ecdetails Appreciate it.
I’ll wait until ads come out with the apc. The bill looks good but dilution seems complicated. 🤣😂 also Labo is great too
Ya primus, Decon, MSN, SF , Frostbite, AF
It's very simple! It is just as effective from a spray bottle. 20mL in a 1000 mL bottle gives you a 2% solution that works the same as foaming it and uses way less product.
Hi Eddie, watched you with nick and yvan, love your style, god be with you and your family
Thanks man for joining I appreciate you!
My dad's van has no coating and has been getting undercoated by Rust Check and has some oil on the body, what would you recommended for a pre wash to soften the oil up? Thanks Eddie, for what you do, love your page. Watching from Ontario Canada!!
I would get Touch-less, KCX SF , KCX MSN , as some heavy hitters
@@Ecdetails Thanks my friend!!
Stars and Stripes is real good but you need 2 cannons or sprayers and 2 soaps , we’ll need to do a test to make sure
5000! good job! congratulations
Thanks! 😃 bro appreciate you
Congrats on 5K! Pan, we’re coming for you!🤣🤣🤣
Pan only have 1m subscribers. Why not go with Detail Geek 3.5m or Ammo NYC 2.2m
Chasing pan and ammo gonna be a feat but we got this
I’m curious how it compares to bucket naked wash?
The only downside to Bilt Hamber for me is the PIR.
But it works, and I hope you enjoyed!
BH works real good
The PIR calc is super easy.
New subscriber here . Hey Eddie what about Superclean as an apc??
Ive used All clean, Fbomb, Ethos , Ductile , green star, msn, car pro was my goto for a bit but never superclean, if you dilute it right dont let it dry you should be good
One thing to do is test on a small plastic trim to see how it interacts
Oh my God Eddie you are on Point . Top Dog in My Books 👍🫡
Thanks bro
I've boosted my soaps with Greenstar in the past and have also used Forst and they both have performed well getting rid of contaminates. The only true tests I have done thus far are SNO and Frostbite foamed on the surface, rinse and then followed up with a rinseless wash and both of those times I had extremely minimal dirt on my towels. I prefer these soaps over an APC because of ease of use with one product for simplicity versus multiple products and dilution ratios. Plus they're ready to go for the next quick wash as well!
Never tired Sno , illl have to give it a gander appreciate you sharing it man I love hybrid washe s
What type of upc you were using bro?
The who
@ APC my bad lol 😆
I just use Ik foam sprayer instead of foam cannon for touchless.
It is the the best way to use touch - less
Ya I heard that what’s your preferred mix
@@Ecdetails I have the new touchless having used it since I still have about a half of the old 5 Litter one. But it’s the same ratio % mix to a gallon. So about 4-5 ounces to a gallon.
@@MBV180With the new version I’m only using 2.5 ounces to 1 gallon of water on my IK Foam 12 and that’s when I need the strongest mix on the new version 2 for really dirty cars, I have great results with only 1.25 ounces for a 1% PIR on moderately dirty vehicles.
im guessing the ADS is citrus. i like where they are going with there stuff.
It is!
Hey Eddie, I have a rotary to finish and a DA. I accidentally bought a 8mm instead of 15 mm on Amazon. Its goood but Is it worth returning the 8mm for a 15mm to do 1 steps? God bless you and your family.
I would use 15mm
Ay yo! Over 5000!? Congrats
Thanks bro 😎
The downside to BH Touch-less V2 is that it's 20 bucks to ship one gallon and 25 for two gallons. The shipping raises the cost per ounce by a good bit.
@@BrillianceAutoSpa good point og has free shipping if you spend x so I picked some up
have you tried buying it from Obsessed Garage? Don't think their shipping is that expensive.
Nice….excited to try ADS apc I hope it’s highly concentrated

Do the touchless or rinseless soaps work the same on a coated car vs a car with no protection?
Ya easier cleaning on coated car for sure
Im gonna tell you Touchless v2 took all the bucks off the car it was epic, I was referring to removing of grim does it matter? do you need a touchless product , people will use what they like and they have to test
BUT I do want to say TOUCH-Less v2 removing bugs Gods work
Good morning, EC family.
Hey 👋
You really need to look into road warrior or dark fury for pre soak washes. It's like 20x cheaper than all 3 of these products and I love them. Dark fury kills bugs and road warrior can nail black streaking with no contact wash.
On its way we’ll test
@@Ecdetails solid. Thanks
5K baby!!!
We did it man
Not using it in a foam cannon is the key for me. Using it in a sprayer like the Multi Pro 9/12 brings the cost down tremendously. I usually mix up ~5 liters with 100ml of Touch-less which allows me to do 3-4 cars depending on size.
Ya imma make a pre mix and test it fo ra few months like id di the other stuff to see how it works
@@DownloaderVideo haven't thought about putting it in a foamer. Does is foam and cling well at that dilution?
@@RowlandPeters It works excellent search here on RUclips for “Detailing Projects Bilt Hamber Touchless” that’s a review video and that’s how the guy uses it.
The only RIGHT way to use it, it destroys 🙅♂️
Dark Fury! HELLO!
Ya never tried time to order
Yessss, was looking for this comment. I really like road warrior also. Very cost effective. This stuff is like 20x more
How does this compare to Primus 2.0 for a prewash.
Primus is hard to beat man
I know it says touchless. But can you use it in a contact wash?
Bucket naked you can and auto foam
@@Ecdetails Thanks Eddie
I need to pick up a general use apc. Which do you recommend? We made it to 5k!!
I would go Fbomb, all clean , multix , ductile , green star
Green all for $8/gallon
I like Starjnagloss Forst as a pre-spray on very dirty sections also. Works better than most APCs.
Forst is real good
I prefer to use my normal foam cannon mix of Incredible suds and just add in some all clean if needed and the amount I use is based on how dirty. You could also just spray the APC on the dirty area and then normal foam on top. These touch-less are far too expensive to me and the amount of product needed good lord. If your car is coated it’s going to clean easily anyways unless you have been letting it get clogged up and need a decon wash.
Agreed man , I generally just apc spray on let it sit if I’m doing a rinseless spray off contact wash
Cool comparison Eddie, ADS' APC looks like its coming along nicely. And yea... Bottom-Up rinsing can stay over in Europe, makes more work for me and I see no difference lol
Haha 😆
I’ve been using super clean I throw it in my foam cannon and it does the job. I always hear it’s bad stuff and I definitely agree if you’re not careful. I’m definitely looking at touchless because it’s so hyped. But maybe after this video I just need a good APC that isn’t toxic…
Touch less isn’t bad just expect to use more products , Stars and Stripes cleans as good or better and better dilutions just gotta use two soaps
Look into road warrior or dark fury.
been using apc myself just because its more economical and performs good for me
Works great I did see og sell this stuff 43 bucks not sure shipping cost
Creo que es mejor hacer una prueba en un auto sin cerámico
Ya, I dont have a car without a ceramic and I told bev I would clean it :)
Awesome!
No bad 💩
Why’s it smells like it does that’s what confuses me it ms good stuff I thought it worked good
@@Ecdetails 🤷🏻♂️ no idea I just read the label😂 I’ve not had a sniff of V2 yet, maybe the increased concentration adds some extra whiff.
Lmao 😂 bro get that wife mobile washed and test products on it haha
@ that's how it will be of course😁
oh man, 250ml is a lot of products
Its all PIR so if your pressure/ water out put its more it will be less
But it's all about the SHOW! There's no show in APC normally.
I just want it to work! break down grim /dirt and let me rinseles wash
Hot take but touch-less is so good that I find it to be a waste of time to even follow up with a contact wash many times.
How do you compare it to garage therapy Decon shampoo
@ haven’t tried it
You do the trial on a spotless truck that looks like it just rolled off the production line and the result is they both clean the same. Who wudda thunk it! Try doing the same test on a truck that hasn't been washed for six months in winter weather and you'll see B+H is streets above anything else.
Truck wasn’t spotless - had bugs all over so the test in that respect is valid. Any soap on a “muddy” but I get what your saying and well re test but I’m
Not sure bilt is better then chem-x
One attacks dirt only and one attacks dirt and the protection...especially with how eco touchless v2 is, its an easy choice. Keep the apc for engine bays.
What are you using in terms of
Shampoo, pre foam etc
Did you test the new BH Touch-less on the wheels/tire like you did with the APC from ADS? That would have been a good to know how it would work on wheels/tires.
They seem to all perform the same but does the fact that the vehicle was ceramic coated? Try on a non coated vehicle.
How does it any of these compare to Stars and Stripes? A video comparo on the BH, the ADD APC, Dark Fury, DIY Detail AllClean etc and the Stars and Stripes would be great to put it all out there.
Ya I can do it , I have to get some things done and im on it.
"THATs $20!" TOO FUNNY!!
Haha 😆
I’ve used a few of there products and like them. Would like ur feedback.
Bilt hamber glass is wild
So what they say with the bilt hamber there's no caustic chemicals that would cause corrosion, but most apc would have that in.... i even switch to surfex HD
Great comparison, bro. i do enjoy this video
They say it’s not wonder why it smell 👃 haha
@@Ecdetails 🤷🏾♂️ 🤔
The more dirty the car, the better to test the chemicals.
I got what I got still tells a story , not saying any of these are bad just showing results can be the same
I only use bilt hamber products in my detailing business, as it also prevents rust with the atom mac series plus the glass cleaner is amazing another thing is bilt hamber is not costic and no phosphates, Apc i would never use on paint as i want a slick surface to avoid scratches 😊 next time put the car in the sun , high end black car and use apc that has NOT been ceramic coated . Apc is super cheap , but if you leave a scratch on say a bugatti , Ferrari , just saving a dime will not be worth it
Imma redo
The test and compare it to another touchless
@@themikeroberts actually bilthamber hamber is sugar based
Eddie, 250ml is 2.5% PIR. I use DIY All Clean at 1% ( 3 oz in my foam cannon) , it does a great job . Touch less should have stayed in the UK.
Haha ^ PIR why not just say use 7oz calculating PIR is hard
Just don’t buy it and keep being happy. 😂
I love to have options.
I think this is a fair trade. You send us (USA sends UK) Rinseless wash and in return we give you Bilt Hamber.
Fair trade!
We send you something great, you send us something that’s overpriced, and not as good as an APC at 1/2 the amount used.
I’ll send ya some stuff the duties tho are so expensive e
20ml in a liter of water. Pump spray on the car. Best prewash you have ever seen.
You like it better the forst?
@@Ecdetails the forst is mighty and works wonders on tires too. But the Touchless at 2-4% in the Pump sprayer is just a weapon. Didn't compare them side by side but on wife's white car, the dirt just completely melts when using the Touchless. Only saw close to the same effect from Koch Chemie vbn but at 10% dilution.

I never understood a need for a “touchless” wash. Might as well wash it since you’re foaming the car already.
I think big rigs, RV and people who want a clean car with not alot of effort ill need to do another follw up test for sure
I can assure you that there are a great number of people that it appeals to. People with disabilities, injuries, or older age still like to take care of their vehicles while lowering the impact that it has on their bodies.
@@ExodusFX I understand that part of it, I was curious since you don't hear about it very often.

I haven’t used dark fury , but let me ask ya which one does a better touchless bolt or dark fury ?
Incorrect Touchless is not caustic. Just because a soap is basic doesn’t mean that’s it’s automatically caustic
@@SSSandhu13 what’s the SDs say ?
I’ll have to give auto foam a try
