    I really like the way you present the lesson, with clear shots of the chords you are playing and the nice graphics. Shooting in black and white/sepia is a nice touch. Thank you!

    Bonsoir! J’ai vu cette vidéo il y a quelques jours et ce morceau semblait très difficile à jouer. Finalement c’est l’arrangement qui tout simplement génial et la chanson est en effet faisable. Merci beaucoup pour ce tutoriel !

    • @brickabraak
      @brickabraak  3 года назад +1

      La version fingerstyle est un peu plus tendue mais on peut la jouer de plusieurs manières différentes, dans tous les cas elle reste agréable à jouer même avec uniquement les accords. Merci pour le commentaire.

    In the third line of chords : Bb7 instead of Bm7 (in your chords progression at 1m04)

  • @azzuro195
    @azzuro195 4 года назад

    Very simple, very elegant very nice. I enjoyed listening to you a lot. SUNNY has a zillion versions with chords ranging from 4 chord amateur playing (Am-Gm-F-E) to pro jazz comping with Bb7/13 etc.. I tend to play it more jazzy but your version is also very satisfying-love the melodic playing and nylon strings.
    One important comment tho: Being a wannabe fingerstyle player too, I also wrap thumb wherever I can even on 5th string sometimes like Bresh Atkins and company.. BUT that is wrong In case of that Amin7 and than Gmin7. Jazz players would cut you the thumb :) Correct way is to finger bass with middle and barre triad with index finger.Try, and your effort will be rewarded (example Am7 and than D9, very common cadence with minimal effort).
    Keep up the good work buddy and stay safe.

    Hey ! Est ce que tu pourrais faire une video sir comment tu joue les cordes, je ne sais pas comment 😂 mercii

    • @brickabraak
      @brickabraak  4 года назад +1

      Hello,
      Je ne te promets rien mais je vais essayer de faire les tabs. Quel est ton niveau stp ?
      Ne sois pas trop scolaire, je sais que c'est important pour apprendre mais ça enlève une certaine compréhension des morceaux et de la musique...
      En attendant, voici mes conseils pour retrouver et jouer correctement un morceau en fingerstyle ( rythmique + mélodie ) :
      1. Le plus important, c'est de décortiquer le morceau, connaître la mélodie et savoir sur quelles notes de la mélodie il y a les changements d'accords. ( Tu fais ça au ralenti en jouant les accords et en chantant dessus pour caler tout ça dans ta tête )
      2. La fondamentale donne la dynamique du morceau quel qu'il soit et donc entraîne toi systématiquement à bien la jouer à chaque changement d'accord. ( Si l'accord est un DO9 par exemple, joue bien la note de do ( fondamentale) d'entrée pour donner la couleur, LA pour un Lam7...)
      3. Joue le morceau sans la mélodie pour bien placer tes accords et tes fondamentales
      4. Essaye au ralenti de commencer à placer ta mélodie sur les accords.
      Si ta fondamentale est bonne et la mélodie correctement placée dessus, le reste est du remplissage...
      5. Utilise ton oreille en faisant pause sur chaque accord pour reconnaître les cordes qui sont jouées ( en essayant en même temps sur ta guitare )
      A bientôt.

      @@brickabraak Merci beaucoup ! J'ai fait 4 de guitare quand j'étais petite, mais j'avais pas forcément un bon niveau... Je n'avais joué qu'avec un mediator, jamais autrement... Alors pendant le confinement, j'ai repris... Même si c'est pas si facile sans prof, je fais de mieux avec RUclips... Et j'ai découvert ta chaine, que j'aime énormément ! Ça me fait aimer la guitare encore plus :) Je vais essayer tes conseils, merci beaucoup !

    that guitar is very boomy and loud and (a little fried out )
    with the wrong depth and type of reverb thrown in
    left my ears ringing had to take off my phones to save my ears
    you don't show the key change step up's and turnarounds either. a great pity
    also would have made the lesson less mind numbing if you had attempted
    to cover mr Hebb's intro or some of his inversions as an aside to the main lesson
    or some ideas on his improvisations would really have helped.
    save me having to stopin an starting willy nilly on that 1972 tv show
    the one with Ron Carter on bass
    don't mean to be a critic just checking out some of the lessons
    here on the youtube and had a little listen
    no ones really trying to get close it seems their all
    very weak and stroppy so far
    i guess it's bit to much for a video tutorial
    as there's a hell of a lot going on in the song
    and Bobby is a damn genius after all
    i wonder if there's a transcript somewhere
    on Bobby's guitar from that show

    • @brickabraak
      @brickabraak  4 года назад +3

      Sorry for your ears... You should go go the doctor to check them a little bit... I'm Shure he will find something wrong... But that has nothing to do with m'y guitar.

      no need, son just old ear's, i guess.
      the guitar might be just fine to you
      but here it sounded boomy
      as a listener.
      what really matters though is you where happy and thats what counts.
      And maybe i was a bit harsh.
      mind numbing is a nasty old term
      but you miss the point
      of my comment here
      (on the YT everyone seems to think their arrangement is the song".
      and to be blunt
      no body wants to play exactly like you
      or copy your style.
      but if you had put some real effort
      as was hint'ed at in my comment
      and had shown Bobby Hebb's
      style and technique maybe a snipet from off that tv show
      some of his chord phrases or guitar tone
      then that would have been very nice.
      then i might have learned
      something useful or insightful.
      and i would have been impressed
      at your skill as a guitarist and tutor.
      but no point in crying over old spilt milk.
      what's done is done
      can't rearrange or edit film
      or have another go at the tune.
      P.S.
      maybe i will go have my ears tested
      just to annoy someone just for a laugh
      see if i can get another bite
      any hoo happy strumming
