Hi Cory, my name is Ulysses and I'm from Brazil. I started to your videos since the "Coolest Sound Ever" and I really liked what you were doing, so I decided to watch all the videos since you moved to Alaska. I think that it is such a "beautiful" place, different from everything that I've ever seen. As you may know english is not my natural language, but I studied it and now I know some stuff, and your videos helped me to improve my listening and my vocabulary. So I'd like to thank you for this and keep the good job you are doing. I'd like to send you a letter on the mail, but unfortunately I can't.
Kritacul It has truly been an adventure by watching Cory's adventures. :) Been here since the fart and rubber jokes from SMP days. So yeah, for about 6-7 years. :)
More or less same story for me, starting watching from the "Coolest Sound Ever" as well. However, I did send you a little package from Argentina, expect it in a week's time:-D
I thought that yesterday was your best video ever (and for a long time in the future!), like I said, it totally blew my mind, like a "diamond" vlog ! But today ... This vlog ... was ... *EVEN BETTER THAN THE BEST of the best !* A whole new level, a seriously whole new world of awesomeness :-) !
I also thought it was a great vlog but darn it, Cory, it really was dangerous for you to trek thru the avalanche snow and into the cave alone. And gosh, put on some gloves. Not going to be easy to hold a video camera if you get frostbite!
Jane Seidel i second that if you can find them try a nice lambskin glove or ask your mom n dad to find a wolverine or late season deer for you to get some gloves and a nice jacket out of (mabey a couple of the deer) because wolverine fur resists frosting and is great for a hood or cap and the deer skins with the fur still on hold in heat because the hairs are hollow.
Cory, I can not wait for more drone usage. It just intensifies the beautifulness of Alaska. I hope I can visit Alaska later on in my life, it looks outstanding and I'm sure video does it no justice compared to being there. You and Kristen are amazing people that put out amazing free content. Thank you so much!
I've always agreed when you say in your vlogs that something is beautiful, but man... The drone footage took my breath away and I actually started crying. I've never had such a reaction. Thank you so much for sharing. Peace and love to you.
Congrats on the new purchase. After watching the video, I can't say BEAUTIFUL enough watching the Alaskan scenery float by. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to more of Alaska as presented by Cory Williams.
Cory out of all the random things you spend your money on, this has got to be one of your best decisions. Alaska is such a beautiful place and you've done a great job showing us just that. However with this new perspective, I can now really really feel how breathtaking it is. I'm interested to see all the creative ways you'll use the drone to capture the beauty of Alaska. This place has done you well and we can all see how happy you are there. Keep up the great work. - Rye P.S. I still follow Kate, but I think Kristen is awesome! Love her personality.
Hi Cory! My name is Shantae, saying hi from West Covina, CA. I am a huge fan of your videos.. This one actually brought me to tears. Don't get me wrong the scenery is BEAUTIFUL, but that isn't what did it. The joy on your face, the happiness, just made me this about when you are a old man, your going to have ALL of these great memories.. You being so happy all the time makes me have hope. You find joy in the things anyone else would probably over look. You are an amazing person. Nothing but love and happiness out your way, For you and Kristen!
I thought Alaska was beautiful before, but the drone has shown me I had no idea how beautiful it is. Thanks Cory for the awesome vlogs. They make my day.
I was just reading about Whittier today actually. I was completely intrigued by the story of this town and when you mentioned it I about jumped out of my chair! Hahaha. There are two main buildings, both of which were military facilities built during WWII. The Begich Tower is where most of the residents currently live. It seems to have everything you need including the police department, grocery store, post office, laundromat, varying office, medical clinic, and vending areas. (They are pretty excited to now announce that Dish TV is up and running. Hahah. Love it.) And the Buckner building, which is the one I am guessing youre talking about. It used to be one of the largest buildings in Alaska and was called "The City Under One Roof." It had a mess hall and sleeping quarters (for over 1,000 stationed servicemen and women), medical and administrative facilities, a post office, a bakery, and even a movie theater and bowling alley. It survived a 9.2 earthquake and took little damage to its structure due to its concrete construction. It continued as a working facility until the mid 1960s when the Army Port was closed. After that the building changed hands a few times and is not technically abandoned as it still has an owner. Sadly the building has been condemned due to asbestos AND they are pretty serious about trespassers. The building, even without the asbestos, is pretty dangerous with falling fixtures, broken walls/stairs, and even the occasional bear. That being said, I would LOVE for you to do more exploring there. It sounds like such a neat place (the town in general, not just the Buckner Building). That would definitely be a hella cool vlog!
These vlogs are beautiful, I wish I could live in Alaska with my girl... I see a huge future with her, and my dream place to live is Alaska. These vlogs really make me happy. Thank you Cory, I really appreciate them, and i'm sure everyone else does too.
Wow, Cory. I have been watching you for years now, but I have never been as proud of you and as happy for you as I have been watching this vlog. Watching you go from California to Alaska made me scared for you, but I never would have guessed that it would have led to all of this amazing and blessed stuff happening to you here. Your success is blessed, and it has been so wonderful to see you truly grow up a bit and grow into your own skin. I think the move out there and meeting and getting to know Kristen has truly allowed you to blossom--which is funny considering how cold it is up there, nothing else is blooming. And as for Kristen? It's been lovely to see you grow more comfortable around the camera and talking to us, Cory's--and your--fans. You are a great match for Cory, and he is a great one for you. You are a genuine, funny and adorable girl, and you have just enough wild in you to match Cory's crazy. As far as I'm concerned, my favorite videos from Cory have started on that first drive to Alaska. And I cannot wait to see the Iditarod from his perspective. :) Now all he needs to do is go to Dutch Harbor and meet the crab captains of Deadliest Catch! :D
Thank you for putting a smile in my and my family's hearts with your video blogs. Those were some amazing views from the sky. Congrats on getting the job too! You are so blessed. Thank you for sharing yourself, Kristen and your fuzzy children with all of us.
....... Breathtaking... I've written and erased about a 1000 words just trying to write this comment, I think I'm truly at a loss for the words perfect enough to describe this video and the views.. It brought a tear to my eye, definitely your best video.... Ah man.. Keep on loving life, this was epic!
Wow... just wow.... The scenery you captured with your new drone was so breathtakingly beautiful that it brought me to tears. I've dreamt of going to Alaska for years now and I watch every video you post. Your positivity and happiness as well as Kristen's is so inspiring.
Hi Cory, I'm so excited!!! It doesn't matter that this comment has a lower probability of being read because it's not on time. I'm one of the silent viewers of your channel, but this vlog made me spill all that happiness you've been giving us with your videos. It's mind-boggling how they bring a smile to so many people who live in all those different corners of the world! By the way, seeing Alaska through your eyes [or camera lens] is such a wonderful experience, but I've come to realize that the magic about a place actually starts to work only if somebody fills it with their presence. You made me think that the world is so full of things to explore and to fill with admiration! I think that everything you see as beautiful is really a projection of something that you have inside. What would make us acknowledge that something is beautiful if we didn't have that beauty deep inside ourselves? I wish everyone could experience what you're living right now. I mean, that state of being when you're so full of life and you know that the very best hasn't come yet! Or maybe it has!? I'm extremely happy to see you and Kristen getting the best out of your lives and I'm very excited for all the new opportunities that are coming for you in the future!! Beautiful things for everybodyyyyy!!!! --> goes to silent&contemplative mode back again :)
That building in Whittier you were talking about is the Buckner Building. It was a sort-of all-in-one military building; mess hall, quarters, recreation, medical and administrative. Built in 1953 and closed in '66
I got my husband to start watching your videos with me, and just the other day we we're discussing how amusing you are and how creative your cinematography is. Keep up your awesomeness!
Your videos are so inspiring. I know this is an old video and I don't care. I was having a bad day today and came back to see some of the beautiful scenery and remember why I have fallen in love with your channel and Alaska. Thank you for showing those of us who are too afraid to do anything that there is such beauty in this world that we will never see if we don't just go out and do it.
I'm just mesmerized of the unique beauty of Mother Nature. Congratulations on your new job!!! 🎉👍 I'm very happy for you and Kristen. Sending you guys a big hug!
OMG this is awesome.. now make sure you have the app that allows you to find it if you lose it... Charles Trippy lost one of his first ones because he didn't get that option....lol Congrats on the job and the shots are just stunningly beautiful.....Oh and watch for hawks as they do attack drones....
This vlog alone shows more skill than Charles Trippy had even after his 3rd drone! Just poking fun at Trippy cuz -- as he always tells us -- they poked his brain! Seriously, Cory's video today was SO beautiful!!
I'm stinkin excited to see what cool stuff your going to fly into! I'm seeing Alaska thru your eyes and I'm in love with it, its so beautiful! Can't wait for more exploring
Wow! that looks amazing Cory, the videos will be even more beautiful from now on! I live in Spain and I´m trying to teach people english through your videos, because of your awesomeness and the joy you express, just living life the way it should be lived, thank you so much for sharing, I hope I can get to meet you some day and thank you in person.
My boyfriend is on his second drone, two pieces of advice: 1) Be careful about going out of range on a windy day, or even going straight up - he lost his first when his friend asked "how high can it go?" and he responded by sending it straight up, then some wind came along and whoosh, it was gone into the woods. 2) Do NOT fly it near people's heads. The second drone was trying to hover around my head while I was in the kitchen, and the rotor-wash picked up my hair and ZOOM! it tangled right up and hit me in the forehead. I laugh looking back on it now but I was crying in pain at the time. One would think an adult over the age of 30 wouldn't need to be told these things, but obviously at least one has already made both of these mistakes. That said, I love the interesting things that can be done with camera-equipped drones (we use ours to inspect roof problems and tree problems instead of going up on ladders). HAVE FUN!! Can't wait to see what you do with yours.
Yay, congratulations on the new job. I know that drone is going to be a lot of fun. You can barely see two big mountains at 0:43 at three o'clock. That is some AWESOME scenery. And congratulations on 100 days. You know you'll have to show us the spring soon.
OMG --the altitude makes all that Alaskan beauty just pop! Congratulations on your upcoming job. No doubt you will be great. And the final drone shot was awesome! Your beautiful home -- symbolic of love & happiness.
Cory, I want to thank you for vlogging. I watched you ever since my friend showed me the Mean Kitty Song when it came out. I've loved watching your videos and being able to experience some of your life with you as well as being able to see new experiences all thanks to you. I always loved how you are still genuine in all you do and how you aren't afraid to show your kid side like when you were chasing after the drone while flying it haha Congratulations on getting the job. I look forward to watching those videos because I remember reading about the Iditarod back in school and was so interested in it. Make sure to link us to the news videos as well because I would love to see those as well. You have convinced me to travel to Alaska in the future as my vacation, but I have no idea when. It is definitely something that I plan to do some day. Thank you for your vlogs. :)
Congrats Cory happy you shared the good news with us. I think all of us fans will be looking forward to new vlogs with the drone, i know i am. The latest video allbeit short was spectaculur the views were awe inspiring and a great choice for the music very calming and engaging.
I can not wait to see all of the amazing and wonderful things you will catch with that drone. I seriously can not wait, because even this short video of stuff is awe inspiring. The quality of the image, and the beautiful scenes is almost too much to handle.
This is so sweet. I've always wanted to see just how beautiful Alaska was. And while the previous vlogs do a great job, this takes it to a whole new level. Awesome.
The crazy place in Whittier is an old US Army Barracks/ living quarters way back when, called the Buckner Building. There is a small museum in Whittier that explains all. ;) We went there last year summer by Alaska Railroad. 'The Buckner Building is an abandoned former U.S. military building in Whittier. It was constructed by the military in 1953 as a combined mess hall, sleeping quarters, recreational, medical and administrative facility[13] and was formerly one of the largest buildings in Alaska, often being referred to as "the city under one roof".[14] The building was slightly damaged by the 9.2 1964 Alaska earthquake, however damage was minimized by its reinforced concrete construction.[13] There was no structural damage to the building itself, and subsequent inspections found the building to be in good condition.[13] The building continued to operate until 1966, at which point it was shuttered due to the Port of Whittier being transferred to the Government Services Administration for disposal.[13]' Google "Buckner Building Whittier Alaska" and you'll find more about it.
Drone footage always alluring and, yes, does need some expansive and luminous music, great. On some drone videos they edit out the shots of the propellors to make the shots seamless.
Definitely 1080p60 worthy. I'd even encourage someone to download Google Chrome just for this video. The shot at 1:46-1:47 with the mountain on the left being lit-up by the sun on the right was "wow" inducing.
I absolutely agree with one minute. You are improving by leaps and bounds . The drone footage blew me away. We are all,I think looking forward to your further evolution as an artist. Al
When using your drone to fly into glaciers or maybe caves make sure to not let it fly too far into them without following. The walls might break the signal earlier than expected and it could crash
Absolutely /beautiful/ footage of the surrounding area. You're totally living the life I wish I could live but that's ok.. I'll just live vicariously through you. Keep on living.. and showing us the beauty on our awesome planet. Thanks Cory.
WOW! Ever since I was little I have always wanted to fly in the sky like a bird, and this video plus the music really reminded me of that dream, and it really helped me right now to feel better when I thought I couldn't. So thank you from deep down in my heart for everything you do.
OMG Cory, you really did move to Alaska? That has been my dream ! Tired of Florida. That virgin snow and those mountains are so awesome. Clean air too? And the glaciers.... It must be so cool with so much daylight in the summer, and the opposite in the winter? FL is so flat, boring, and - fake. I ENVY YOU DUDE !
Great news about the job! My family and I, here in Monterey CA are happy for you and we are excited about the new drone. Show some of the footage of you learning how to use it.
This blew my mind... I really cannot put into words just how amazing Alaska is. This drone has opened so many new doors for you Cory :D, the shots you will be able to get! Heck, once you start some new SMPFilms work, you can have some sort of amazing Lord of The Rings fly by opening! Amazing video, thank you for sharing it with us.
Congrats on the job Cory and can't wait to see the neat scenes and things you will be able to explore with your drone. You were talking about the cold in Alaska well just wanted to let you know that here in Buffalo, NY today's high was 6 degrees and 2 degrees right now.
That was just simply stunning. I heard about the drone camera earlier today and my first thought was "Damn Cory needs to have one of those! He would make the best use of it". BAM like magic you are flying us over Alaska. I can't want to see what you do with this great new angle.
I was just about to go to bed when I noticed this video in my subscriptions. I'm glad I decided to watch this. That was amazing!!! I really loved all of the aerial shots, they were beautiful ^ ^. And while it's a little unrelated, I've been looking in to taking up skydiving and paragliding this year, and knowing I could see things similar to this video just got me even more excited than I already was about going!!! So thank you ^ ^.
It'll be great seein Alaska from a birds eye view! Alreafy the footage is spectacular. Means a lot to someone who knows she'll never get there to see it personally. Congrats on the job, you deserve it and will be wonderful!
Cory, this drone is a really cool video making tool. The shots that you made in this video were absolutely incredible and I would love to see more videos like this in the future. Keep up the good work!
Dude. Like. Hella. That's awesome! I've kinda forced myself to watch other vloggers since starting a channel... but I genuinely love watching your vlogs. You just do such a great job with them. And now they're about to get even more awesome. Can't wait!
Wow!! That is seriously some of the most spectacular footage that I have ever seen! This was such an awesome surprise. I'm so excited for all of your future vlogs!
Wow, just when I thought your Alaska vlogs couldn't possibly get more beautiful... you have to go and do something like this! Crazy-awesome. I hope you get a whole lot of fun and mileage out of that drone, Cory. I know I've already gotten a ton of enjoyment out of it!
It has been extremely exciting and satisfying to see so many good things happen for you in such a relatively short span of time. Not that you don't work to stay positive in the tougher times, but it's a lot more fun to watch you rising (literally, in this video) so high!
One of my favorite things about any video you do, you do some great shots, some nice angles, and some gorgeous cinematic b-roll. I LOVE it. Yesterday was a perfect example, and you do it all the time. With this thing now, I simply can't wait! I am very excited to see what you can do with that in your hands!
Wow, Cory you are a video artist. That was some beautiful footage and the music was perfect. As a long Term Alaskan we kinda get used to all the worderful beautiful things we see around us everyday. Wow I gota watch again.
Hi Cory, my name is Ulysses and I'm from Brazil. I started to your videos since the "Coolest Sound Ever" and I really liked what you were doing, so I decided to watch all the videos since you moved to Alaska. I'd like to send you a letter on the mail, but unfortunately I can't.
***** Well, I don't have the best vocabulary but I'm glad I can help. :)
Same here as well and watching not just Cory and Kristian but see Alaska is amazing. I enjoy your videos so much Cory and can't wait to see more.
Kritacul It has truly been an adventure by watching Cory's adventures. :)
Been here since the fart and rubber jokes from SMP days. So yeah, for about 6-7 years. :)
Ola Ulysses, o seu Ingles eh muito bom. Morei no Brasil por muitos anos e ensinei Ingles. Parabens! Tudo de bom pra voce em 2015!
This vlog ... was ... *EVEN BETTER THAN THE BEST of the best !*
A whole new level, a seriously whole new world of awesomeness :-) !
Thanks! That really means a lot. This is just the beginning of a whole new thing though. Just wait until you see what I've got planned! :D
I also thought it was a great vlog but darn it, Cory, it really was dangerous for you to trek thru the avalanche snow and into the cave alone. And gosh, put on some gloves. Not going to be easy to hold a video camera if you get frostbite!
DudeLikeHELLA Will Kristen be going with you to Iditarod?
DudeLikeHELLA Have you ever worked with, or considered working with, Devin Graham (devinsupertramp)?
Jane Seidel i second that if you can find them try a nice lambskin glove or ask your mom n dad to find a wolverine or late season deer for you to get some gloves and a nice jacket out of (mabey a couple of the deer) because wolverine fur resists frosting and is great for a hood or cap and the deer skins with the fur still on hold in heat because the hairs are hollow.
Almost cried at heart ending, in a good way!
Me too :D

I've always agreed when you say in your vlogs that something is beautiful, but man... The drone footage took my breath away and I actually started crying. I've never had such a reaction. Thank you so much for sharing. Peace and love to you.
Re-watching and re-liking these videos. I feel so at peace when you are out discovering Alaska. I think its a genuine happiness for you.
1:10 is AMAZING. I am in love with that shot.

I love how happy you are. It seems like going to Alaska was one of the best decision you've made.
Wow. I can not wait to see all the beauty you capture with the drone!
This Video is so simple, yet so heartwarming. Nature is beautiful. Thanks for making my day again cory!!
Alaska has been on my Bucket List for sooo long; I have to visit there.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
This is going to move your vlogs to a whole new level and its something a lot of vloggers don't seem to offer as yet.
Great idea, love the channel
Can't wait for the exiting views and sceneries we will get!! That looks awesome cory!
Congrats Cory happy you shared the good news with us. I think all of us fans will be looking forward to new vlogs with the drone, i know i am. The latest video allbeit short was spectaculur the views were awe inspiring and a great choice for the music very calming and engaging.
This was, hands down, the best drone video I ever saw. And I've seen a lot!
Things just keep getting better and better. So proud!
I can not wait to see all of the amazing and wonderful things you will catch with that drone. I seriously can not wait, because even this short video of stuff is awe inspiring. The quality of the image, and the beautiful scenes is almost too much to handle.
Breathtakingly beautiful!!! I think I seriously stopped breathing watching that scenery! Congrats on the job!
This is so sweet. I've always wanted to see just how beautiful Alaska was. And while the previous vlogs do a great job, this takes it to a whole new level. Awesome.
It's great to see how happy you are now. Going back one year, man you were so far in a ditch of unhappiness. Keep it up brotha!
One of my fav videos. Nostalgia x1000 and then end snow heart. So nice
I'm so happy for you Cory! The drone is really awesome.
It was constructed by the military in 1953 as a combined mess hall, sleeping quarters, recreational, medical and administrative facility[13] and was formerly one of the largest buildings in Alaska, often being referred to as "the city under one roof".[14] The building was slightly damaged by the 9.2 1964 Alaska earthquake, however damage was minimized by its reinforced concrete construction.[13] There was no structural damage to the building itself, and subsequent inspections found the building to be in good condition.[13] The building continued to operate until 1966, at which point it was shuttered due to the Port of Whittier being transferred to the Government Services Administration for disposal.[13]'
Google "Buckner Building Whittier Alaska" and you'll find more about it.
Drones are the BEST!! I recently got a small one for myself and I swear I've already used it over a hundred times! There just so fun to use!
This video makes me happy. Thank you for bringing joy to my day.
It is 4 in the morning here in MN, and I'm watching your videos.
Congrats on getting the job Cory =D looking forward to it and seeing what you can do/see with the drone!
I loved the montage you put together with that! Really takes the beauty of Alaska to the next level!
Cory!!!! That's amazing!!!! I'm so excited you go the job!!!!! Can't wait to hear your commentary on the race (not even going to try to spell it).
Drone footage always alluring and, yes, does need some expansive and luminous music, great. On some drone videos they edit out the shots of the propellors to make the shots seamless.
Congrats Cory on the job!!!!!!
This video made me smile so much!!
Al
I didn't think the scenery could get any better. You just proved me wrong. Amazing stuff, thank you for sharing.
Cory, this...this is absolutely beautiful! You didn't disappoint when you said this vlog would be epic. Cannot WAIT to see what else you capture.
This is so touching. Everything looks so beautiful!!!! Amazing shots!
So excited to see what's coming up in the future!
Cory, You just became the coolest human alive. Congrats on the Job, and the drone!!!!!
Congratulations, This year is going to your year. Keep up the positivity Cory!
By far the best Vlog yet! Thanks for sharing with us how Beautiful Alaska is!
The excitement at the end is epic and really cool!
What was the music in this video? (not the intro)
What can I say that hasn't already been said...epic! That ending was just amazing.
I want to say I really enjoy your vlogs and can't help appreciating your talents!
And now that you have me hooked on watching them...
Very very cool Cory! Looking forward to what adventures you have in store with the drone.
Just when I thought your vlogs couldn't possible get any better...you pull a drone out of your box of awesomeness.
This is some truley spectacular footage. I love how happy and positive you are all the time, keep doin' what you're doin' Cory!
It'll be great seein Alaska from a birds eye view! Alreafy the footage is spectacular. Means a lot to someone who knows she'll never get there to see it personally. Congrats on the job, you deserve it and will be wonderful!
Those shots were absolutely incredible!

Simply awesome simply amazing. Great news Cory can't wait to see all the more adventures you will be having in Alaska.
Dude. Like.

I'm so excited for all of your future vlogs!
dude watching your videos in 60FPS is crazy! i didn't realise videos could be that smooth without a motion smoothing TV :O
Wow, just when I thought your Alaska vlogs couldn't possibly get more beautiful... you have to go and do something like this! Crazy-awesome. I hope you get a whole lot of fun and mileage out of that drone, Cory. I know I've already gotten a ton of enjoyment out of it!
Congratulations! On the job and the drone. Looking forward to seeing what you do with both.
It has been extremely exciting and satisfying to see so many good things happen for you in such a relatively short span of time. Not that you don't work to stay positive in the tougher times, but it's a lot more fun to watch you rising (literally, in this video) so high!
Wow just wow amazing views. So amazing that it made my eyes water love seeing nature in its full beauty.
That's a fantastic surprise Cory!!!! Both! Can't wait to see more from the drone. That device is freakin' AWESOME!
Wow you are so good with your drone! I can't wait to see what new things we get to see.
Congratulations Cory on the job, I know you were really excited about the opportunity.
Wow, Cory you are a video artist. That was some beautiful footage and the music was perfect. As a long Term Alaskan we kinda get used to all the worderful beautiful things we see around us everyday. Wow I gota watch again.
