Dragon Quest III is a prequel to Dragon Quest 1 and 2. I have completed Dragon Warrior/Quest 1-3 on the NES. So you in terms of story you start with Dragon Quest III. However in terms of difficulty You could play them in this order 1,3 than 2 because 2 has a part that can be very difficult/unforgiving to new players.

Concord is not Free-to-Play. Its $40 at launch. That's the issue. Probably will be dead-on-arrival.
The guy in the announcement for dragon quest 3 remake literally told you the order to play the games in
The Lego games (stating way back with the first Harry Potter game) allowed my then much younger daughter and I to play together. We now own almost all of them and will definitely be getting Lego Horizon.
I was saying the EXACT THING about "Switch Beyond" it REALLY does sound like something Nintendo would do... and then they would have their new version name for all their games... So instead of "Mario Brothers 17" they would do "Mario Brothers Beyond" ...
I'm cool with this if they go with it... but you know they will overdo it eventually lol

I don't regret getting Gow for the ps5. It gives me another reason to use it which there arent many and my PC has 70 different reasons to play it. Plus i you dont get haptics or the triggers when playing on PC. Nice to see Kratos is a RUclipsr.😂

Your take on early access is spot on from mine. All early access games i've had I'd basically complete, then it gets updates over the next 12 months and I have basically no interest in revisiting it nor start a save file to experience it all.
I’ve intentionally only dabbled with Palworld because air didn’t want to burn out before they completed the game.
Bg3 early access was the best example.
Too bad Astro bot isn’t coming to PC, would be great on steamdeck.

I'm expecting it to be F2P later down the line and I'll try it then. Has some of that Destiny DNA with the devs so that alone has me interested in the game despite all the backlash
I haven't played a Lego game in a long time but I apricots how the landscape in this one is actually made of Lego. Always bothered me as a kid how it was just like natural terrain with Legos sprinkled on top in the old ones
Concord is releasing with a $40 price tag in the US
2023 was a good year for gaming, but this year is shaping up really nice… might end up being one of those I remember.. or at least for my “taste”. (like that year when dragon’s dogma, xenoblade, witcher 2 port, mass effect, etc came out.. maaaan that was a good one)
I think early access is a good option for developers to get some extra money to finish the game as well as get feedback and maybe fix some issues before it hits release. It is much better option than releasing half baked product and hope for the best like we saw with a lot of games before.
Metroid Prime 4 looks EPIC!!!!
Zelda, and Indiana Jones are two I'm very excited for!

links awakening is a direct sequel to a link to the past to the point they are the same link.
It seems like you and I share a lot of the same highlights, with Hyper Light Breaker, Doom: The Dark Ages, Memories In Orbit, and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom most interesting me.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond also looks great, but I haven’t played the original trilogy, so I was hoping most for remasters for 2 & 3.
Mecha Break intrigues me, too, but I don’t like the idea of Battle Royales, so I’d really like to know if it has a Team Deathmatch mode.
Metaphor: ReFantazio also looks a bit Mecha adjacent, so it’s got my attention, too.
And, yes, Dragon Quest III is a prequel to I&II, so you should play it first. And it does look great, but I’m not too interested. If anything, I’d like to see a XenoGears remaster, or an HD-2D version of Golden Sun.
Finally, I think the Super Nintendo Switch would be a great name for the Switch successor, but I kinda think just going with Switch 2 like PlayStation’s nomenclature would be fine. It would be hilarious if they just called it the Nintendo Successor, though. 😂

The Early Access topic. fully agreed that you play the game some many times before its released that when 1.0 comes out, there is no more interest to play it.. Subnautica was one of the largest ones, but never finished after so many restarts. But in rare cases, i'm enjoying early access, eg, Timberborn, cause new mechanics being introduced means almost a full new game to play. but it is rare.
I feel like we have to stop buying games that have bad practices. Not just buy the lowest tier. I'm not supporting anything star wars anyway. Disney AND Ubisoft? No thank you.
The new Dragon Age at least is no online requirements and no MTX. And that's from EA Ubisofts twin brother.
Jeff is slime. He only addressed the lay offs this year because he had to, not because he wanted to. It's why last year he still ignored it. Jeff only cares about his bottom line and will only say "daring" things when he absolutely knows he won't lose any ties to companies.
Remember at E3 when he talked about Konami and Kojima? He only did that because Konami already cut ties. It wasn't brave to call Konami out either.

I still like my Xbox but man has the steam deck made me more into a pc gamer, my Steam library is bigger than my Xbox’s. Still wish there weren’t launchers and anti cheat problems.
I just want a tv pc box that can match the power or surpass that of the ps5 and series x that I can play all my Steam games on.

Free online, free games from steam, epic, gog, amazon prime, graphic settings, frame rate, controller choices being able to buy and play old games emulators the list is endless. Not trying to troll but does console ever come on top overall?

Prime 4 is clearly a switch game, I hope that they reveal a version dedicated for the Switch 2 with much higher fidelity visuals. I could see them doing this to showcase how much more powerful the switch 2 is

Protip: game sequels do NOT need to be played in order. Any good writing, for any media, should stand on its own without having to research prior media to understand it.
If anything, knowing the prior media would be easter eggy more than anything.
I don’t agree with this statement at all. Maybe for games.
But imagine telling someone that the Two Towers was badly written because it requires the research of reading the Fellowship of the Ring. Sequels that are continuations of the same story are not going to reestablish all of the characters. That is a waste of time and is going to mess with the pacing of the story.
