    From my perspective here on RUclips, I think your welds look just fine. If you wanted show quality, you would have TIG welded them anyway. But if you're simply after quality and funcionality, you're good to go. Kudos guys!

    Looks great, i would recommend cutting a template out of pvc pipe get the right angles so that you could easily transfer pattern to pipe. Keep up the great job. enjoying your videos

    Hey fellas, if you haven't powder coated the roll bar yet you can turn it into a cage pretty easily with a second roll bar for the front half. Pretty easy to find on craigs list. Just a thought.

      Allz69 Yeah that's pretty smart, but it think that we're just gona stick with the cage how it is just for practicality.

    Looks good! looking forward to more videos on the CJ. Are you going to get rid of the factory side rails when you build the sliders? I might be interested in buying them and possibly some of the other stock parts you plan to get rid of. I am getting ready to start restoring my 1978 Cj7 Renegade.

      Awesome....I have sold a lot of the stuff that has come off the jeep and I would be happy to sell it to you, the only problem is that I kinda only wanna sell locally and not have to worry about shipping and stuff (but if your in Texas let me know). Thanks for the support and good luck with your CJ.

    You should read why not to have a harness, I was going to put a set in my CJ 7 and after some research found that they are dangerous unless you have a helmet on that is on a tether to the roll cage, they do look cool though.

      Just curious, how are 5 points dangerous? I mean in the racing world (drag racing, road racing, circle track, both dirt and asphalt) the helmets aren't tethered to roll cages. A lot of times a head a neck restraint is used, or mandatory to be used, but that is a unit that goes around the neck and is held in place over the shoulders by the straps of a racing harness. Still nothing holding your head to a roll cage though. Now I can see there being an issues of some kind if you are trying to use a 5 point harness with a stock jeep seat or some kind of stock seat that is not designed to be used with a racing harness, OR if the harness is not installed correctly. But If done correctly installing any kind of racing harness in a jeep should not be any more dangerous that using the factory 3 point retractable. Me personally I wouldn't install them without also installing seats that are designed to be used with them, but it really doesn't matter what kind of restraint system you use, doing any kind of off-roading or racing comes with extra risks that should never be taken lightly.

    How are you going to get in the back seat?

    • @BuildBreakRepeat
      @BuildBreakRepeat  7 лет назад

      Kenneth Hudson That's one of the issues with having a harness bar lol, I'm kinda thinking of having 2 sideways seats like an old fj40 or a backwards facing seat....but I already sold the old seat so I'll have to come up with something soon...
