This is the first apartment I've seen that I have actually thought was a steal for the price. I would definitely live there.
This isn't even small. I've seen tours on here of "apartments" in NY that are 10x12 boxes with no running water or a closet, shared bath down the hall-no kitchen in building...This is very very livable.
I wouldn't want to be stuck in a NYC apartment like this for an extended period of time like the covid19 lockdown. I'm glad I'm in north side of SF bay area suburban where I'm in 1800 sq ft single family house with a backyard.
@@nathanlewis5682 Better still....6 1/4 acres in Georgia. The rent for that apartment equals more than 3 months mortgage for us!!! Nope. Couldn't live in that apartment ever, at any price.
I’ve definitely stayed in an Air BnB in NYC that was smaller than this.
I agree. I have designed much smaller spaces in London. There is a really bad use of space in this apartment and a lot could have been done with it.
This is a one bedroom not a studio
Considering the location, this is an incredible apartment for the price. In unit laundry and a dishwasher. I could manage in that place. So many NY apartments don’t have those; even some of the luxury ones.. I’ve never not had that in the places I’ve lived. This would be the perfect apartment for me if I ever lived in NY.
I was thinking the samething
Yep I would be happy too living there :)
I could definitely live in there.. I mean some people menage to live in vans without bathrooms 🤷🏾♀️
New Yorker living in a 385.00 a month apartment.
@@marteumar8429 - Exactly
This block has 100x more going on than my entire town.
Good grief. Where do you live?
Yep I'd never leave the area
I like that he talks to people on the street about the area. I'm just watching these for fun, as I live in Massachusetts, but if I was seriously looking for an apartment, comments from residents of the area would really help me. I wish we had someone doing videos like this in my area. My son and his friend are planning on moving out on their own and have decided to be roommates, in the hopes that they can afford it! We shall see...my youngest is waiting for his own room!
I live in Florida...so yeah I can’t relate either.
There are more people on that block than in my small town alone. Probably could fit my town in there twice at least.
I could easily live there, except I have zero desire to live in NYC.
But Cash is so entertaining that I watch his videos every day.
If you're living alone, might be better to make the living room the bedroom and the bedroom a home office or somethinh like that
Was thinking the same thing!
Or vice versa.
Yh good idea
Props to the landlord for spending the money to make the place nice. Maybe get one of those folding tables that attaches to the wall for a dinning table. Definitely a love seat instead of a full size couch. Wall mount the TV and sound bar. I think a full size murphy bed would fit maybe.
What's the point? Then you have to move furniture every time you open the bed. Been there, done that.
@@mircat28 if that's how you used a murphy bed than you were using it wrong. It's benefit is the extra space to be able to walk around and also hide a messy bed.
@@richardcontinijr9661 The bed wouldn't be messy if you made it up.
I’ve lived in Seattle for four years now we eat on the couch with the coffee table dining room tables are a luxury my one bedroom can not afford 😂
In bedroom i would but loft bed and work space under it.
The most important thing is a washer dryer.. People dont realize that is most important .
i do. i really get it. that and own bathroom. kitchen can be imprivised if one is on one's own, but clothes and linens must be clean.
This is a cute, tiny apartment. I love all of appliances. They were not playing with those. The most important ones like the fridge, stove, washer and dryer are actually big. The space is very small but considering the location, I have to say its a pretty good price.
This apartment is a MIRACLE. It's got all the appliances you want and more and it has a separate bedroom! My god it's a unicorn of an apartment in a location that's convenient and accessible. It's definitely bigger than my current place. Who wouldn't want to snatch this up? You could maximize that small bedroom by getting a bunk bed with a couch or desk set up underneath.
I think this is what they used to call an "efficiency". The ceilings are pretty tall and that helps a lot. If I was young and single, I would definitely live here-laundry set up is a winner.
An efficiency is the same thing as a studio.
Yep great apt for the money
Or elderly who does not wish to spend all the time cleaning and receiving guests
exatcyl when looking for my place the one thing i could not live without was not having a washing machine
@@tas655 in NYC that is very common even if you rent a big apartment ... in Europe it is rare not have a washing machine inside however small ...
The title should be “tiniest luxury apartment in nyc”
I wasn't expecting a separate bedroom, I thought the living room would be a combo space for sleeping, too. Cool.
This tiny apartment looks nicer than my whole house
Probably cost more too
Right?! I've always wanted to live in a large city, if only for a year, just for the experience. This would be great and the location is fabulous.
Lol
@@2legit64 it is or was I lived there for 15 yrs
@@onlyfacts7816 absolutely probably close to $300k
This place is really cute. If I lived in nyc to experience life there, this would be my jam. No stranger roommates, clean, modern touches, w&d in unit and near a lot of restaurants. Plus $1,500 in nyc for all of that would be awesome.
I'm digging this apartment! It may be small, but it's renovated And has a rather functional layout. The ceilings look high, so I would get a loft bed to save space in the bedroom and one of those coffee tables that lifts up, so you can use it as a dining table.
Perfect for a student or a graduate. This is about the size of a small hotel room, so it's doable. IKEA was made just for places like this. A futon with underneath storage is your best option for the bedroom so you still have room to move around. The kitchen and the bath were the best features.
I was thinking the same thing. A couch bed is necessary for this kind of space
Dont forget the laundry!
The fact that its newly renovated makes you forget about the size of the apartment
PS I wish they can get that damn heater out of the bedroom it's taking up too much space for a bed by the window
You'd probably position the bed in front of the heater. You'll definitely need a good, solid headboard.
@@Ntyler01mil Can't block that heat though in the dead of winter.
For all of the tiny kitchens I've seen on this channel, this is by far the nicest one. The fact that it has 2 drawers for flatware, etc. is amazing because so many of them don't have one at all. I think that I could have forgone the wine fridge for a some more base cabinet storage, but whatever.
Bro this is about the size of most apartments here in Hong Kong. Your one featured here is actually bigger than my current 1 bedroom. Living there would be a breeze for me. The trick is to layer your furniture and customise things into the corners and work your way out. Add more high shekves into the ceiling eaves. Get a foot step to reach up to them. A bunk bed there would be a must. Under it a work station for your home office. Rather than a dresser drawer, get a hanging rack with trays at the bottom. Door frame hangers for the backsides of all internal doors.
Better still, use the living room as the bedroom. Use the bedroom as office with a double sofa facing it and hang a railing above it to hang clothes as long as they are hang above head height whilst sitting under them. Use your computer as your TV. No need for a real TV in a space like this. Easy!
😍 I'm taking a screenshot of this and using all your ideas. In one paragraph you have given more useful and practical ideas than the hundreds of similar vids I've watched in the last six months. My appreciation is immeasurable and my day is made. ❤️
Mine in Shaukeiwan is abt the same, I live with 5 ppl
Great ideas!

Agree with the no-TV. I have 2 toddlers and dont have any TV either
This is GREAT for a single person. Beautiful apartment and decent space for one, with all of the finishes. Nice find!
I've always found apartment tours like this intriguing especially since they are so much smaller than anything I've ever had. This actually doesn't seem bad at all. I think what they did with the space is very clever. I'd love to see how someone decorates it. It has great potential.
Loving the renovated bathroom & kitchen. Washer/dryer- a definite plus. Would put a day bed in the bedroom, to make room for more closet space. The apt is large enough for one person to live comfortably.
heck I'd live there in a heartbeat...with all those great bars and restaurants in the area wouldn't be home much anyway..great price, terrific neighborhood and kudos to that landlord for an excellent upgraded place
Everything is brand new and the color scheme makes it very clean and modern, I love it!
THAT is my very favorite of all the apartments you've toured ... that I could afford and even better than some I could afford.
Definitely wasn't expecting to see this nice looking apartment. It's smaller than most 1 bedrooms but has so much charm and amenities for the price and the area. What a positive turn of bait and switch Cash lol
The finishes are stunning. I can't believe how much they packed into that tiny kitchen.
for 1500, this is actually an amazing deal for New York considering all that the apartment comes with. I cannot imagine living in such a small space though, I would need a lot more ventilation, bigger windows, more sunlight if I absolutely had to live there
The sunlight was the only thing lacking for me.
You can't have it all. But I think it has enough ventilation for a small space. It has a window in every room, large one in living, the bedroom and even the bathroom.
You are missing the point of living in small spaces like this. As another youtube commenter put it, these apartments are like a shoebox. What's the purpose of a shoebox? to put shoes. Its not complicated to understand, right?
Same goes for living in small apartments like this. The literal point of this apartment is for you to have a place to sleep, to bathe, a place for toilet, have your clothes there. That's it. You want to live a life? You have it OUTSIDE! Why need bigger windows when you have sprawling parks that are just a walk away or cycling distance away? Want cheap food? You can choose from more than 15,000 restaurants. Want to have fun? There's like two dozen interesting places to choose from near you. want to jog or cycle? You can do it. Want to travel to work? get a metro card. Want a large backyard for your children to play? Why not go to the parks again? Its well maintained.
In other words, NY is an extrovert paradise.
Feel its more for people who work in the city during the week and have a house outside the city for the weekends...
@@jong9379 jewelry box if you treat it right
Honestly I would make the living room my bedroom, and the bedroom like a den. This is like the best NYC apartment and it’s not bad pricing.
This is a great apartment. The apartment has enough space for anyone. I have been living in 400sqf studio condominium for almost 30 years without any problems. I do have family and friends and everyone loves my home.
Totally
Silly to say that it's enough for anyone! Beautiful, but definitely not for everyone.
I lived in 640 sq ft 1 bedroom for 5 years. You can do a lot surprisingly.
Sounds nice, any picturr§&
Wouldn't be enough room for me and my bf. And 2 toodlers. And 5 pets(4 cats only one dog)
Lol but for a single person it would work fine
This has to be one of my favorite apartments that you’ve toured so far!
Cash found an efficiency one bedroom apartment that isn’t a dump. Actually very well put together and you can’t beat the mid town Manhattan location. Everything you need just a walk away and the rent is quite reasonable. This is the mother of all NYC bachelor/bachelorette pads. If I had to live there, the NY dream is being all around the action. Congrats on reaching your 100K subscribers on YT!
Very well thought out apartment, looks like it was put together by someone that actually thought about how people live and didn't just slap some paint on a crappy apartment and call it good. .
Love the apartment. Well thought out. The wine frig is over kill though. It would have been better to put an open cabinet instead.
I agree. There’s a full refrigerator, so I’d get rid of the wine fridge and put another cabinet in.
I don't get wine fridges cant wine go into a regular fridge??
@@ian1856 ohhhhhh ok I get the temp setting. It has a purpose I guess
That was the selling point for me 😉
Honestly, this is a decent sized unit. . With the size of the bedroom, you do not want a bed with a headboard/footboard, just a frame to keep the mattress off the ground. That way you can put the bed 90 degrees to the window and have room for a queen bed and 2 small nightstands.. in the living room, get an Ikea island, this will give you shelving for clothes, instead of a dresser, mount the TV on the wall above the island, get a futon so that you can have a guest sleep over, or a roommate. Bar stools get tucked into the corners when not in use. Ceilings don’t look more than average height, but if they are 10 ft, then in the bedroom, you could easily do a 2 tier bed... bed on top, like a bunk bed, with a desk/dresser underneath...
This tiny apt is better than many larger apartments you’ve shown. Love the reno. Very modern. This is a great deal. Especially for midtown!
This is a wonderful space (other than not having a terrific view). Small, yes, but clean and streamlined. Love the kitchen, love that bathroom. Winner!
First off, congrats on 100K subscribers! It seems like yesterday that you just started. Second, this place is an absolute steal and one of the best units you have showcased so far. If I didn’t have my mortgage, I would totally be all over this place. The location is perfect and it’s enough space for me and it has everything. I would suggest putting one of those folding leaf tables on the counter’s edge to really maximize the living room space.
You should do update videos on places you’ve showcased and have sold/rented out. I have a feeling this place would be on there!
Thank you!! Great idea

Everything here spells comfortable for one! And location is a winner. Price is exceptional. This is what NYC apts should be. Fantastic!!
Whoever did this design.....cares! Small, practical and esthetically pleasing. The location and washer & dryer❣️❗️
It’s perfect I love it small apartments mean less cleaning and I don’t have any friends. More wine for me.
It's my old neighborhood! I used to live at 26th and 2nd ave. That was my Trader Joe's. And yes Sweet Green is awesome. I miss NYC.

I could absolutely live there it's very well done with a strategic layout perfectly cozy! Thumbs up 👍
The price is insane on this. If I were looking, I'd definitely go for it. The location is amazing, & to me the size is a plus b/c you'll shed a lot of excess.
So worth it 💕 the washer and dryer caught my 👁️ just the fact that the landlord put so much detail into it and work

I’m just seeing this video in 2023 so I’m sure the rent has doubled at least. Congrats to the person who rented this because it’s the cutest apartment I’ve seen. The fact that they put light flooring in it makes it look so much larger. Definitely the best one bedroom I’ve seen. And in midtown; WOW!
I lived in a 200 sf studio in San Francisco for three years. This looks palatial to me. I’d live here in a heartbeat.
Perfect for a monastic person who also appreciates modern amenities!
I love this tiny apartment. The landlord did a great job with the renovation.

This is amazing! This should be the standard honestly for tiny apartments anywhere
i think the days of the take it or leave it apartments in NYC are over they better fix them up if they want to rent them my girlfriends landlord reduced her rent more than 700 dollars on the upper eastside
being an introvert and only having one friend, i could definitely be comfortable there 😂

When you lived in a big city for a while you will understand how nice that apartment actually is xD
This IS an amazing apartment , small but perfectly formed I would say . whether i could live in it hmmm? You can see why it will be popular because it is so new and modern. The kitchen is fantastic , awsome dishwasher. you could add a small glass table to the end of the kitchen area and add in a wall of mirrors making it feel larger . but yes all in all a fantastic place .
Even the smallest apartment has a wine fridge :D i`m done
I would get a twin/daybed in the bedroom with a dresser and tv and use the bed as a couch during the day so the bedroom is also the living room. I would then make the living space an office/dining area. the twin bed works bc I would never live here with someone else.
An acquaintance lives near Gemini, pays about $300 a month, you heard that right. Then again, they've been in their place since around 1977-78. This apartment is too small, but the fact that it's brand new, has a washer/dryer unit (unheard of in most NYC and even outer borough rentals!) and a gorgeous bathroom, would definitely be the main selling points.
I like the location and the design of the apartment included A small kitchen with all appliances you could hope for. Truly amazing. A bit too small for me but would work great for those with little furniture
Am I the only one who wonders where New Yorkers keep their holiday decorations, art supplies or fitness equipment? Or is that not a thing?
Storage or keep them very “necessity only”
city dwellers are not hoarders
Not a New Yorker... Californian here. If I don’t have room, I give it away to family or most the time I just don’t buy it. My purse thanks me later... especially with how high rent is over here.
Small apartment = minimal to no decorations; gyms and resistance bands + walkable city = no need for crazy gym equipment; art supplies = that's where the clutter comes B)

I could definitely make this work. It's like living in a tiny house you have all your creature comforts you just have to make the best use of the space that you have.
Thank you for the tour. Yes, this is a small apartment for one person. But the kit hen wins me over. The separate washer and dryer wins my heart totally. The media one cabinet is also another reason why my heart is won over this apartment. You were right about a small sofa in the front and I would buy a futon for my bedroom set. Then the living room is small. The bathroom is really nice alone.
this apartment has really nice finishes, if it was outdated I would say it's not worth it
Well equipped Kitchen and stunning bathroom. . A fine example of what you can do with a small space.. Seems like great value to me when you consider the location.. Thanks for the tour.
As small as this apartment is, it's actually a decent place to live. You've got a washer dryer, a separate bedroom, and really nice appliances. I also feel like it gets a lot of light and appears more spacious than it is. 1500 is not a bad price for that apartment.
I could absolutely live there. It is tiny but very functional and a separate bedroom rather than a normal studio is a lovely touch.

This is actually a great deal for a single person who has a decent job in Manhattan. The landlord did a great job renovating this apartment! I will consider it for the future. lol
This isn't much smaller than my own apartment here in Canada. And two of us live here. But for $841 a month, I'd be fool to move and instantly double my rent.
Beats living in Canada
Beautiful apartment with all the conveniences 🌟💜🌟 Full size mattress on a metal platform allows storage containers under the bed. No need for a box Spring which I don't know why they make boxsprings😳
Omg, as someone from Paris, to me, that honestly looks like a mansion. But as a Parisian who is very fussy about her wine, I also never found a wine fridge to be necessary anywhere 😂
I like the direction of your videos with a neighborhood tour and comedic relief.
I remember an actual broom cupboard selling for well over £100,000 just because it was opposite Harrods
This is actually great for the location & convenience if you are single & don't work from home. You can get a 1 bedroom in some smaller cities for $1100-$1300, but not have access to all that NYC offers, so this is a "yes" for me.
Wow Cash!
That apartment was obviously put together by a very clever person! Sure it is small, but everything is put together so well! The stand-in shower is just common sense!! I cannot stand those showers over baths! I live in Australia and I have never seen one of them here!!

You need one of those storage beds where the whole mattress hinges upwards. Then you'd have lots of easily accessible storage under the entire bed.
