I’m Kirati, I hope my input will contribute a bit. I did the DNA test for ancestry by ‘The Genographic project’ by the National Geographic in 2018.
By way of background, all human beings’ ancestors were from Africa and started migrating and populating the other parts of the world some 90-80 thousand years ago.
I was no exception as my ancestors were in East Africa some 67k years ago who migrated to the other parts of the world. Some 50k years ago they were in Sinai Peninsula present day Egypt. Then, some 34 k years ago my ancestors were in Asia. Also, I share 1.4% of my DNA with Neanderthal(Now extinct species). My Dna is the combination of:
    Eastern Asia: 58%
    Southeast Asia and Oceania: 24%
    Southern Asia: 13%
    Central Asia: 3%
    Native American: 2%
My first reference population is Chinese and the second reference population is Japanese based on the Dna samples from the urban population from these two countries.

I have absolutely no clue about my heritage and lineage. And when I see how clueless other people are just like me, it pains me a lot that history is slowly being erased. There were relatively very few conflicts among the different tribes, majority of times different people lives in harmony, unlike other places around the world where god knows how many tribes were wiped out. I think government itself should give much more importance to history
Think about this, let say all the Christians of Nepal suddenly disappear, what will happen to that religion, almost nothing?
Let say all the Kiratis suddenly disappeared, a whole different ancient civilization is lost. So I think some cultures demands more attention than others from the state. But in the name of Secularism and equality no one gives a shit. I fear there will come a time where no one knows anything about their heritage and lineage

Kiratis are jungle tribal people who ate pigs. That's how their name was derived from. All jungle tribal asians in the southeast asia region like nagaland, manipur, burma eat pigs as a staple diet. Ancestors of Kiratis immigrated from Myanmar/Laos/Thai region Some of them also settled in Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim. All these Indian states have tribal people that look very similar to Kiratis, similar diet and cultural dress as well. Tibetans (including sherpas, mustang, dolpo, lachenpa) and Mongols are mountain people with close dna with east asian/siberian ancestry.

first Kirati King name 'Yalamber" itself denotes many things like "Yala-hiti' "Yala-khim". 'Yala" Sambat . "Maghi" magh 1st is not only for kirati community but tharus and Magars community also celebrate as their New year . As from the historian books , their were 32 kings and the last king was Gaasti whose palace is still in Sankhamul . "Barbaric" is also worship in Rajasthan and Gujarat , India . Indian have build temple as "khatu shyam baba ' meaning kata huwa shir ka dan ... but kirati community only worship him as a First and the most decent King respected among the citizens.

Only these days a common language is being taught and adapted at places to make a common language for a community as a whole. But kirat was here on the day of dwapar yug no doubt. Many text book don't mention how kirat build monuments in kathmandu Valley. They just tag lichhabhi dynasty. Which is false. And I came to know that kirat dynasty was hated by others so much that when it came the era of manuscripting, they manipulate the story.

And since our culture is not given importance by the government and we never learnt anything about it in our school life, I consider this knowledge very valuable.

Maile kata hereko ho bro, Mongolian descendents didn't settled directly from mesopotamia to himalayas like you explained. They were nomadic. It took a long period, that they went to the northern part of today's Russia and some moved towards current Korea, Japan, few stayed, they moved towards Myanmar side, and finally arrived to today's Kathmandu Valley where they ruled after the Gopal dynasty. You'll find similarities in the language of Kirat, Japan, Newar etc. I believe that should be true because people from Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, Korea, Serbia, And Kirant look similar. Whereas our ancestors took different path they probably settled in Tibet and later went to Himalayan region of the Indian subcontinent people from Zanskar and we speak the same language. History is not clear. Anyway cheers to the good work you've put into this video.

To all my Nepali Friends, don't become like a Westeners, whose only flex his Alexander conquered the whole world. We don't come from such traditional. We don't glorify regional kings, conqueror or monarchs or dynasty kings. We don't trace or associate our history or lineage from Kings. We only bow down to "Rishi-Parampara" that's is the Knowledge giving system. In human form, we only associated ourselves with First Rishi-King "Svam-bhu Manu" and then after that "Lord Ram" is the pinnacle of virtuous King for us.
Rest we learn just for information or knowledge purpose. Bharatvarsha is multi-racial, multi-linguistic and multi-ethnic civilization for thousands of year. Don't reduce it to racial/lingual/ethnic background.
Yes you may associated yourself to some group and I think that's essential as well for a society to be happy and prosperous but in the end It is important to always emphasis that you belong to Maa-Bharati.

As a Dimasa, one of the ancient tribe of today's Assam and Nagaland, those who had managed to pass on their ages old knowledge and tradition through their folk lores..who still practices both Animism and Hinduism simultaneously; hardcore worshipper of Mdai(Supreme god/Mahadev) Brai-Shibarai/ Shibarai/ Shiva. I believe so called Kiratas (non-Aryans/ uncivilized people/ golden skin colour people/ Dwellers of both mountains and plain region) have contributed a lot in Indus valley civilization and in the formation of Vedic culture.
We the Dimasas/ Boros/ Meches/ Sonowals / Garos/ Tipra brothers from Tripura and many other Kachari people considers themselves to be the branch of the same tree.
There is a common belief that once we ruled the Pragjyotisha from the era of Mahabharata,
And we Dimasas call ourselves the sons and daughters of Hidimdi( the consort of Bhima, sister of Hidimba danava, mother of Gathotkach). We worship her as our kul devi. We also worship her in the name of Amai Kaali, Maa Kamakhya and Amai Ma-thong-ma(Matangi/Durga), which literally translates to mother of big pillar in grao-Dima(Dimasa language).
Our language falls under Tibeto-burman language, and it has lot of similar words with Sanskrit, like
      1. Sthan - Hathaan(Ha means soil/land, thaan means location)
      2. Kaal(time) - Khali/kaal
      3. Darpan(mirror) - Derpnai(nai means to see)
      4. Haat(market) - Hathai
      5. Kodi(sea shell) - Khaudi (khau means pick or pluck and di means water/river/sea)
      6. Akasha(sky) - Nokhashau ( Nokha - space/morning, Bashau/shau - above/upward).
      There are many more words..
Once a ruler of Pragjyotisha, now our language is on the verge of extinction due to negligence and various political reasons.

No brother, Kacharies and Kirati are different, Kacharies had their own Religion the story of Hidimba was actually constructed in the 18th century when Dimasa and Koch started to merge in Kashpur. For Dimasas we have our own origin story of Amai Arkadima and her 7 children, though both Dimasa and Koch are part of the Kachari group but the group itself is not homogeneous, hence different origin stories in different Kachari tribes. The only thing common between Kachari and Kirati is the language, we have the same language family "tibeto Burman of Sino Tibetan family". And when we say Dimasa we must mention that Tiprasa Kingdom (Tripura Kingdom) was started by Dimasa Prince Dakshin the younger son of the Kachari King in Dimapur Trilochan. Even now Tiprasas call their king, Bubragah which in grao dima (Dimasa language) means The owner or the leader in the context of the king-kingdom relationship. And there too after the conversation to Hinduism they were given Kirati connection.

I don't think this is really a complete picture,
you've essentially curated facts and sources that have various data points and painted it with your own bias to my understanding.
I think you should also get some data points on parallel between Genghis khan's invasion of China and Tibet.
In my opinion the Kirati descent upon valley happens on this time line.
Few facts you should cover is the Videha, Malla and Magadha kingdoms from Mahabharat era.
Also to the point you say that Kiratas built the valley is quite unfounded, The valley's water system comes close to the Mohenjo Daro water ways, the architecture and devleopment is said to have shifted through influence from India to Nepal. The valley's sculptures are close to Vishnupur in India where there is also a tutelary diety worship close to the traditions in the Valley further research and excavation on Bihar architecture before the Mughal dominance might clear things up.
The source of knowledge over valley built by Kiratas are more founded upon Buddhist lores, maybe you should expand more on that topic, it might help to draw parallels to what exactly happened on that time.
Another Point I'd like to make is that Buddhism is one of the native religions of Nepal. Tibet and Nepal haven't been in good grounds throughout major portion of history despite the picture we're painted to see. Tibetian source of history should also be counter checked with Nepali sources to draw parallels on the matter...
Finally Newar was originally the word used by the Chathariya ruling nobles of Kathmandu vally , it was essentially used as an identification in the caste strata in ancient times and eventually everyone started to accept it as the general term. While the origin of Malla kings is debated, the term newar is often looked at as a term a term carried over by the rulers from a certain area of niwad in India eventually becoming Newar and thus the term nepa and then finally Nepala rajya.
There is a great conspiracy going on to downplay the identity of newars these days, but I'd like to point out that Nepal is currently operating with the dominance of newari architecture and cultures. If you destroy the identity then you'll eventually destroy the country as well. I'd suggest supplanting another identity on the crema of Nepalese before taking a hit at Newar with monolithic agendas of each groups.

@@Kommonnepali I think it's quite essential to note that there has been rather few or no empire that has existed for 2000> history. Thus the claim of 2194 years of rule itself is very suspicous from my POV. It would be probable as Nepal being a hill dominated area that the rule wasn't ever percieved as a threat or an empire needed to be conquered ???
Hindu caste system happens with various different tribes present. Pythagoras too makes a distinction about two different scholar that he encountered a sramana and a Brahmin. Thus to see the rule of empires as area controlled as what we see today might be wrong

Well If you are so worried about preserving the Newari Culture then u should defo be worried about the Rise of Christianity .This wave of Abrahamic religion will eventually gonna wipe out the entire historical and cultural symbol of Nepal.

    • @binaydhawa7666

@@kandoHunter69 Christianity and Islam are propoganda religions built to build and destroy empires from the west.
The tantric symbolisms in Hinduism/Buddhism goes back to vedic roots. In case for Nepal with rising India and China. and declining western empires, more of a cross cultural domination. The more of a greater threat we see is from internal division created through masonic cults larping as communists and democracies and failure of India to properly revive it's own authentic roots viable to the scriptures all the while trying to contain the malpractices throughout the subcontinent.
But you are correct indeed. Christianity will pose a challenge for newari culture in the future, which is why it is important for the next generation to come up with state design and architectures authentic to our root's to hold on this land. Internally dividing the newars through various propoganda to build coercive economic policies to coerce em to abandoning their age old roots isn't the answer. It's more destructive than inclusive.
