@@jorgerosasb6406 sadly, there is no Metroid game for Wii U, for Wii there's only Prime 3, and it's actually pretty good. There is also the Prime Trilogy which are the 3 Metroid Prime games and boy they are amazing. I have Prime 1 over Super Metroid in my opinion.

A lot of Super Metroid's music uses the E-MU Proteus sound modules. When Kenji Yamamoto did the music for Metroid Prime, he used the updated version, the Proteus 2000 and its variants for the soundtrack. I honestly think that's why the Prime soundtracks are just as good as SM...the same composer and the same family of synths.
I bought a Proteus MPS in the mid-90s & had it until about 2010. It wasn't all that great even back in the 90s, but the pad/string sounds & effects processor were fuckin' EPIC, nobody else had such great onboard effects on synthesizers back then. Overall I liked the Yamaha SY-77 a lot more, at the time, but after I chained every synth together & started using KCS Omega as my sequencer instead of Yamaha's puny one, I stopped playing favorites & fell in love with the possibility of software sequencers, samplers, & synths.

Well when you think about it, at the time this video was uploaded, there were no 2D Metroid games that had sound quality similar to CD quality. All the early Metroid games were restricted to the console's limitations, so the composers couldn't exactly convey the atmospheric vibes that they wanted. Of course, the composers were creative enough to make good atmospheric pieces, but the majority had to have a certain rhythm to it. As technology evolved, video game music got better quality and so, the composers were able to make more atmospheric music, which is why Metroid 1 & 2 songs are not on this video, but it's also why Metroid Prime music occupies the majority of the video. Sorry if this explanation was a bit too long.
I don't often think about Metroid because of how much I love Metroid. I turn into this baby goo-goo ga-ga puddle of mush whenever I think about this series. Everything about it is so perfect and I can say nothing but praise. No other game series in my life gets me like that. While I wish for more Metroid, I feel like once per console is enough for me. Don't dilute perfection. As long as Nintendo doesn't forget about Metroid, I can patiently look forward to Samus' adventures for as long as I live.
Me too. A few times a year I play a game or emulate something in VR, or stay up all night reading manga and lore compilations. Then I go back to Earth for my mission here.
Red soil is a beautiful opening to the video. It has this rumbling that gives a foreboding vibe, and the melody and bridge sound largely unsettling and alien, which perfectly encapsulates the feeling of the series to me.

This music reminds me when I was a kid I used to watch how my older brother play metroid, this games are pure gold and the music will always be the best of videogames. Metroid ❤️
A lot of the music sounds great in game, but weird as fuck outside of it, lol. For example, the Prime 1 first overworld theme is a cool spin on the original Brinstar theme, but it has a really cheap trumpet in the background that you don't notice when playing.

If it weren’t for my grandfather I never would have discovered Metroid and it wouldn’t have become as big of a part of my childhood that it did. Metroid prime 1 was sadly the last game in the series I got to play with him before his health took the horrible turn that it did. It was also what got me into drawing as a kid and gave me my love for game soundtracks

Man, I just hope one day I could make something that scratches that creative itch that Metroid’s world and atmosphere gives me. A story, a game, a piece of music, just something that conveys the visions and emotions I feel when I see, hear, and play these games. It’s just so…….unique to this franchise specifically. Whenever I boot up Zero Mission or Prime 1 or yeah Super Metroid I just can’t seem to get them out of my head. Maybe it’s the music, the mechanics, the consistent atmospheric qualities, i have no clue but it’s just something about these games and the story they tell me that just makes me yearn to be able to do this kind of thing. And I feel like it’s something that’ll rack at me till I’m long gone.
Listening to these while playing Minecraft is quite the surreal experience. Some of these fit really well with Minecraft, like the Marida music and the Deep Dark.
I play videogames and search for good music in games for 20 years. I first time played Super metroid on 1998. It stills, for me, one of the best soundtracks in games history.

Jeez, Torvus Bog's Underwater Area music takes me back to when I was a teenager and genuinely trying to find music that would help me relax and study because the act of sitting down and revising was stupidly difficult for me! XD 16 years later, I'm *still* listening to Metroid music and absolutely stoked for Dread coming out tomorrow. This franchise has had such an impact on my life in so many ways large and small! :D

Simply immortal ❤, you feel catapulted straight back to your childhood; 1994, my 14 year old self spends hours trying to morphball bomb jump a ridiculously high cliff only to come across a hidden door that won't open. It's unbelievable how quickly time can pass, almost 30 years have passed since then and you suddenly feel old although it was almost like yesterday in your head.

The Piano strokes and choral sounds in Lower Brinstar (Super Metroid) find their use with real piano strokes and choir in Phendrana Drifts (Prime) a decade later. It is nice to see the musical legacy of the older games evolve and take new shapes in the future iterations

The thing with CP2077 is that the direction and planning was a mess, there are many videos detailing the chaos that was going on with CDPR few years ago. With Nintendo and MercurySteam? I think they have proven that they can take the helm with Metroid and make great games. What I can tell you however, is to restructure your expectations. Keep them low and you won't be as disappointed if Dread fails to deliver, which so far the trailers and teasers have shown that the game is going to be amazing, you won't take it as bad.

When i got Super Metroid on my Wii U 1 month ago and i reached Brinstar Red Soil Area and when the Red Soil theme started playing. it was the most beautiful calming music i herd in a Metroid game ^_^

And I never played a metroid game before not even from my childhood. And i think later when I saw lots of gameplay clips of super metroid even if they were spoilers to some scenes and I thought that game and the other metroid games looked cool ! besides i wanted a new gaming franchise to get in with and become a big fan of the franchise along with Monster Hunter, Five nights at freddy's, Super Smash brothers, little big planet, donkey Kong country, etc, And then at that time in 2019 I think. That's when I got super metroid on my Wii U the first ever metroid game for me to get into the franchise ! And when I finally finished super metroid while even saving the animals for the good ending lol. That's when I knew I was gonna fall in love with this franchise along with monster hunter, sense after I beat super metroid I loved the game ! and then later after that then I bought Metroid fusion, Metroid zero mission, and then the whole Metroid prime trilogy, all those games on my Wii U And finished/beat them all ! and I enjoyed them all ! except for Metroid prime 3 which I'm gonna play soon hopfully in 2020 sense I never played it yet ! Seriously metroid is now another one of my favorite gaming franchises of all time...and I love the metroid franchise so much along with monster hunter and etc ! And it's even my favorite Nintendo game franchise of all time along with donkey kong country ! And thank you so much Ridley for even getting me into metroid at this point XD

Holy shit, relistening to Metroid Fusion's music really makes me remember how insanely good that game's musical scores were. It would be so amazing if Nintendo would remaster some of those tracks for Metroid Prime 4!

Whenever I boot up Zero Mission or Prime 1 or yeah Super Metroid I just can’t seem to get them out of my head. Maybe it’s the music, the mechanics, the consistent atmospheric qualities, i have no clue but it’s just something about these games and the story they tell me that just makes me yearn to be able to do this kind of thing. And I feel like it’s something that’ll rack at me till I’m long gone.

Jeez, Torvus Bog's Underwater Area music takes me back to when I was a teenager and genuinely trying to find music that would help me relax and study because the act of sitting down and revising was stupidly difficult for me! XD 16 years later, I'm *still* listening to Metroid music and absolutely stoked for Dread coming out tomorrow. This franchise has had such an impact on my life in so many ways large and small! :D

I envy those that are about to play the Prime series for the first time. Very few are the games that can immerse as good as the Prime trilogy.

Simply immortal ❤, you feel catapulted straight back to your childhood; 1994, my 14 year old self spends hours trying to morphball bomb jump a ridiculously high cliff only to come across a hidden door that won't open. It's unbelievable how quickly time can pass, almost 30 years have passed since then and you suddenly feel old although it was almost like yesterday in your head.

The Piano strokes and choral sounds in Lower Brinstar (Super Metroid) find their use with real piano strokes and choir in Phendrana Drifts (Prime) a decade later. It is nice to see the musical legacy of the older games evolve and take new shapes in the future iterations

The thing with CP2077 is that the direction and planning was a mess, there are many videos detailing the chaos that was going on with CDPR few years ago.
With Nintendo and MercurySteam? I think they have proven that they can take the helm with Metroid and make great games.
What I can tell you however, is to restructure your expectations. Keep them low and you won't be as disappointed if Dread fails to deliver, which so far the trailers and teasers have shown that the game is going to be amazing, you won't take it as bad.

And I never played a metroid game before not even from my childhood. And i think later when I saw lots of gameplay clips of super metroid even if they were spoilers to some scenes and I thought that game and the other metroid games looked cool ! besides i wanted a new gaming franchise to get in with and become a big fan of the franchise along with Monster Hunter,
Five nights at freddy's,
Super Smash brothers,
little big planet, donkey Kong country, etc, And then at that time in 2019 I think.
That's when I got super metroid on my
Wii U the first ever metroid game for me to get into the franchise ! And when I finally finished super metroid while even
saving the animals for the good ending lol.
That's when I knew I was gonna fall in love with this franchise along with monster hunter, sense after I beat super metroid I loved the game ! and then later after that
then I bought Metroid fusion,
Metroid zero mission, and then the whole
Metroid prime trilogy, all those games on my Wii U
And finished/beat them all ! and I enjoyed them all ! except for
Metroid prime 3 which I'm gonna play soon hopfully in 2020 sense I never played it yet ! Seriously metroid is now another one of my favorite gaming franchises of all time...and I love the metroid franchise so much along with monster hunter and etc !
And it's even my favorite Nintendo game franchise of all time along with donkey kong country ! And thank you so much Ridley for even getting me into metroid at this point XD

Holy shit, relistening to Metroid Fusion's music really makes me remember how insanely good that game's musical scores were. It would be so amazing if Nintendo would remaster some of those tracks for Metroid Prime 4!
Not to mention that almost all of its music is unique to the series. Not being a remix of brinstar or norfair or something along those lines.
