It's just so far forward into the future that putting an amount of time after the three timelines doesn't matter. Hyrule has started over and over again, and this is just another iteration.
**Rock salt** ``` Crystallized salt from the ancient sea commonly used to season meals. ``` This item is based on Himalayan rock salt. Likewise pink in color, this seasoning has been used for centuries and traded abroad. Its source is from ancient seabed deposits now found in the Himalayan mountains; beds that were deposited much more than 250 million years ago (specifically, 570 million years ago ±10 million years). Rock salt (sometimes known as table salt) differs from sea salt, which is produced in the present from evaporated saltwater flats. Table/rock salt is sourced from deposits underground or on mountainsides; from ancient seas millions of years ago. It isn't indicative of the Great Sea era. It's indicative of primordial oceans from millions of years ago~
Caveat: the era of Hyrule's founding is also referred to as the era of myth, and also as the age of legends. Zelda also states that the Zonai appear in some of Hyrule's “earliest myths”. #TMYK
Skyward Sword didn't see the founding of Hyrule Kingdom. Hyrule Historia and the Encyclopedia all refer to the establishment of Hyrule as well after Skyward Sword.
There's hundreds, if not thousands of years of time between the end of Skyward Sword and the era of Hyrule's founding according to all accounts. And by those same accounts, the sealing of the Sacred Realm (which also saw the interlopers rise and fall) occurred *before* the kingdom's founding. Rauru and Sonia are hazy on the Master Sword because in their time it's already been put into its pedestal to seal the entrance to the Sacred Realm~
The only solid connection this new future timeline has with the older games is the fact that it implies Sidon is a descendant of Ruto, as explained by the ancient Zora tablets.
In the Interview in which they denied to have plans for a DLC they said that the Foundation of Hyrule in TotK is not the very first Foundation, meaining Hyrule had a History before and this Former Kingdom got destroyed. This would push us back to what Aonuma said to Botw : It is far in the Future yet the Timeline is still Canon in some way and we shall create our own story with our own imagination or fanfictions to tell what happened inbetween
yeah I think you're right, but please consider getting a different haircut & shave. The devs absolutely want to do a soft reset, and it's not like they aren't used to this sort of thing. Ever since the N64 days they've always said that they build the gameplay first, and the dungeons, then they weave a story around it second. Skyward Sword was directly ordered by the higher ups at Nintendo not because of story elements, but because it was to showcase the Wii's motion control hardware and sell consoles. In response the Zelda team though it would be best to showcase the motion controls with sword swinging, and if that was going to be the subject matter that means the game has to be about the Master Sword and its origin (putting it at the beginning of the timeline). Sadly Nintendo probably doesn't care about the timeline any more than they care about the topography of Hyrule, which is usually wildly different from game to game. It's said that in Breath Of The Wild, that the Great Plateau was going to be in the area where the Lost Woods is now, but for development reasons (view when you exit cave & normal fields, not Death Mountain) they were swapped. So yeah, Nintendo almost doesn't care about the story
I appreciate your comment, though the whole me getting a haircut and shave thing is kinda random my guy 🤣 anywho, yup a soft reset is def the way they are heading and i dont blame them, at least now the timeline going foward "hopefully" will be easier to follow!

I agree with your theory!
i think nintendo doesnt give a shit about timelines and just wanted to make an awesome game and story
I'd honestly wager that you're absolutely right, if that's the case I just wish Nintendo would just state that out right.

Yeah, this is probably it tbh
All of this said, I really like your thought process and this video. I don't agree with all of it, but I do like it. Keep up the good work!

They didn't "bust" it, stop worrying...they just added stuff.
