- THANKS FOR WATCHING!
So, as many of you have requested, here is HOW TO MAKE A NERF SCAR BARREL. I hope all of you now know how to go and make one, and can be as accurate as my spamfest.
YOU WILL NEED A SEALED BREACH BLASTER FOR THIS MOD
Tools:
- Drill
- Drill bits
- Glue or Epoxy
- Brass, aluminium or CPVC tube (2 that are telescoping E.g. 17/32 and 9/16 brass)
- Fishing wire (recommend either 0.4 or 0.6 mm in dia)
- Dremmel Or a cutting tool

Thanks for the tutorial!
Works like a charm.
I strung mine up differently.
I first tied a stopper knot which allowed me to thread the fishing wire without tying it to the barrel.
I finished by wrapping the fishing wire multiple times around the barrel, and threading through the original stopper knot to increase the tension.
Electrical taped around the whole assembly to reinforce the set up.
Should stay taut longer... But time will tell.
FINALLY A TUTORIAL FOR A SCAR BARREL, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
BANG wars have become so much more competitive since I started going in January, and it's pretty much all down to the recent proliferation of SCAR systems. Love it!

You're channel is awesome you deserve way more subs👍
Made a brass scar barrel using your guide. Excellent work.
You're the best for making a tutorial. Following it now.
Another great video Cobba
I've found that the CPVC is kind of tight. I used some leftover faux barrel from an old recon barrel.
The tight barrel is not a problem if your blaster has a good seal. Might be different with metric units.
Awesome tutorial... I am super curious about how the blaster was built... definitely has a clear recon and deploy, but I would love to know what the plunger system is.
i made one from an old barrel and it works good and it also fits on most of my blasters i need to make more
Can you make a video about the blaster you used in this Video? Its an awesome creation! I Love your stuff!
There already is, one or two videos before this one
Good old school modding, instead of 3D printing everything. (Not that there's anything bad with 3Dprinting, just that kids today think nothing can be done besides it 🙂)
Now you can hit those top spec gamershots
Sweet!
I took the time to properly rifle a brass barrel. As proper as you can get with brass, at least. The whole barrel is rifled and 4 inches long (wii nerf gun, the one that came with the wii game all those years ago). Removed air restrictor and out an extra fire strike spring in, in addition to the stock spring. Gotta say, I took a huge hit to fps and range but the accuracy is worth it. I can nail a water bottle consistently from 20feet away, which is really good for a pistol. If you have the means, I'd try out a properly rifled barrel.
Good stuff! Do you like in WA by any chance?
Like the idea
Would you recommend cpvc more
Cool
Can you PLZ link the Numerous Vendors you are talking about to purchase, that would be helpfully
What was the innerdiameter one the tube you threaded?
What mm conduit are you using?
Does it work on a drainblaster?
Would it be possible to make a scar barrel for a nerf rival?
so u are rifling a airsoft barrel perfect subbed if u want it be extra accurate then u can try button rifling almost same thing but it will be full barrel rifled
its a nerf gun
@@johnconnorstopskynet doesnt really matter mate if u can do the math u can rifle the barrel and it would be more accurate
or u can just use wires to rrifle it still same
would do the trick also easier
@@522alien How does rifling work for Airsoft guns?
@@henryyin2471 it does stabilize the dart just search rifled nerf barrel u will see it makes the rifle much more accurate
What's the minimum FPS does the dart need for the scar barrel to work?
Can just some long shot front gun work?
This'll be great for the sniper I'm planning on making
Hello i am from 3 years later. Hows the sniper going.
@@trolleybike63 im going to be honest, I don't remember what I was planning on making. Pretty sure it was a drain blaster direct to a barrel with a scar barrel tho but im not sure.
@@ROXYshark ah. Sounds like it would be simple but pretty fun
@@ROXYshark lol imagine a scar barrel and a suppressor on the same blaster
@@trolleybike63 thats called death
lol we're using the same pen!
can you make a video showing how to make a scar barrel for the mega centurion, and mega darts?
Does the scar barrel cause any extra dart wear?
Have you noticed any reduction in range/FPS (I'd imagine there has to be some, since you're adding friction/spin, but then what's the point of faster darts if you're not hitting anything)?
Chillburn usually there is a 5-10 fps reduction.
Shut the fuck up bitch
Ian Palmer dude chill
Ian Palmer sounds like that one kid who just learned about cuss words and now uses them in like every sentence
__ The Speedy Railway __ xD
That a recon and deploy longshot front gun and some pipes?
Coffee Man its a very powerful recon, deploy, LS front gun and some pipes.
i know this is an old video but where would you put the holes/notches if you wanted a 6-string SCAR?
Same as this one, but in 6ths instead of quaters
@@ALPHA.Mods.1 thanks mate!
What size pvc did you use?
So I'm guessing theres a trade-off between maximum distance and accuracy when using a scar barrel. because barrels generally cause drag on the dart making them travel a lot slower.
DoitForTheLolz1 depends, barrel drag only happens on fo barrel stuff. So nerf barrel. Scar barrels utilise a sealed breach, which means MORE power, the longer the barrel
What sight is that?
What the maximum length for a scar barrel?
Would this work with a stock retaliator with no beach and basic plastic internals?
No
Im wondering why these are only used with springer blasters, amd not flywheels as well
They do similar things by using canted flywheels.
Usually because our springers have a much higher FPS, not to mention air blasters. I have a brass breached BBUMB Longstrike that hits up to 275 fps with half-length FVJs and a .4mm line SCAR extension.
jkk 643 Because the SCAR barrel slows the dart down. Air/spring blasters keep propelling the dart all the way to the end of the barrel, where as flywheels stop propelling the dart instantly when they stop making contact with it. As KrodeonYT said, newer flywheel blasters use canted flywheels to give the dart some spin.
would this work with a singled xbz
Yes
this fricking blaster looks dope!
Whats the minimum power of a blaster for scars to be effective?
Jeff St.Andre i would say 150 would be minimum
So, Would this work with flywheel blasters?
I would say not, more for sealed breeches
What's a 'Sealed breech blaster'?
is taht a Deploy stock?
yush
No way those velocities and twist rate spin stabilizes a dart. All you’re doing is averaging out the errors. Same thing that happens when you spin an arrow.
ALU-MIN-EE-UM
I know this isnt your vid but. You should get a 3d printer. TO up the quality of your mods.
Dude i'd love one but don't have the cash for it. Big investment.
Tiger Foam hahahaha I usually hate when people say it the American way, and dont bother with a printer unless you want it to be your job. Sooooo much time and money
Don't think i'll ever be able to get one anyway Cobba. Ah well.
Guess we have to rack up the RUclips money first huh? Cheapest g'nuff printer i found was 180USD
I have a question many nerf guns do u own
Ayden Sturtevant around 30
WOW
If you had more holes would it be more accurate
What is the length of SCAR barrel you used??
60mm
Why do we need a sealed breech blaster for this? (I genuinely don't know)
you want it sealed so the dart can line-up with the scar, you also need enough force so the dart will indeed fly through. although there have been reports that scar barrels work with flywheels.
That's awesome thanks a lot for the info - I wasn't sure if the actual air seal in the barrel had anything to do with it for some weird reason, and not just the velocity, considering the scar itself often has holes to release pressure, thus having no seal.
I have a idea that you can make a scar barrel for start to end
Ian Palmer no. It would lower the fps. The"rifling" slows the dart down.
Edit: Well if you use a drain blaster with a 17" barrel it might not be a problem.
Would it work on a stryfe or rapidstrike?
Or maybe a firestrike
I use one with 0.2mm line on a brassed Hotshock - still gets 120 fps with FVJs and the SCAR, down from 160 fps with straight barrel and Elites. If you've made one of Cobba's Firestrikes, it might be worth a go.
No with the Stryfe and other flywheelers you'd want a canted flywheel cage, it has the exact same effect but for flywheels
What is that gun he’s using?
Its a custom blaster
I can see that, do you have any videos building it? And what size is the plunger tube?
@@ClappedBimmers Its pretty7 much a Caliburn, before they were invented. so if you want one, just get a Caliburn.
Amazing results yes,easy,no
why not make the scar barrel longer ...
Best thing to do is...... get a gel blaster lol
Nerf is more accurate when used with decent darts, though. And then there's the gel ban...
That poor clear blaster, the recon not the deploy, that one could burn in a fire and I wouldn't care.
Lmao why do you hate the deploy so much?
