+Liquoricilicious I've seen him use f R f' and R' F' U' F R, and many people use r' U' R U M'. Wide turns are okay as long as they don't hinder look ahead. Same goes for L2/R2/F2, but sometimes they make look ahead hard so in those cases it's best to avoid them.
Amazing content. I love that you seem to try your best to explain the algs in a more intuitive way, that makes learning much faster. you make it look easy. learned a lot from this video!
That's pretty good! I thought of that before but not until now did I realize the finger trick is not bad. I'll be experimenting with that insert in my solves.
To avoid the rotations I usually do d or d', I think that doing d and d' is fast and the lookahead is simple but this movement takes a soft regrip of fingers, which are on the back face
I also use "d" moves insert pairs rotationless, but only if i don't have to do U moves before or after. I think with practice it can be efficient. Also good video! I found a lot of the cases really useful :D
5:21 you could do: R' F R' F' R U R and then U or U', depending on where you wanna put it. Its great for back right slot cause your solved pair stays in the back
+mikecantreed I'm not exactly sure since I didn't learn from there. I just learn Algs here and there, but when I was just starting out I looked at the Algs for every case and figured out why they worked. Essentially intuitive f2l
WoW thank you alot for that video. I'm confident that it will improve my F2L, I especially like the (f R f') move to pair on the back since it is needed every F2L solve and it will save for sure a cube rotation. My F2L is 24 sec average, so that video is awesome for me. Note: There is another algorithm that could be use instead of ( r' U' R U M' ) to insert a pair on the back => ( U f R' f' ). I think the challenge is to remember every case from every angle and make it a robotic process by muscle memory. Is there a common way of practicing F2L without overwhelming the memory ? :)
I can't quite follow this one because I'm just learning F2L, but thanks for the upload regardless! Love this channel, I know one day when I'm good enough it will be a real help for me to look at more of these advanced videos.
My average is getting better now that I have started watching your videos. I am now consistently getting mid to low 30s with occasional high 20s. However, in these solves, F2L is taking up around half or more of my time. I am in the process of learning one look PLL, which I will follow with learning one look OLL. Should I focus on getting better on F2L instead, or does it just take a while to get used to? (Btw great vid)
+Memphis Poston PLL is important, OLL can come whenever you feel like it, or just learn a few cases per week. F2L muscle memory just comes from lots of practice, and work on look ahead after muscle memory is good.
Hi, i've been watching your videos for a while. i wonder, is there any website that offers the fastest (not necessarily shortest algs but those that flow well with finger tricks) for all f2l, oll and pll cases? there are a variety of websites that offer algs but i'm not sure if they are the best option. i just wanted to know what website is best in your opinion . btw i have been cubing (self taught, sub 20) for about 2 years but only recently been trying to improve my speedsolving. i have looked up for the best ways to execute cfop but i am just overwhelmed by the amout of data and there are so many little things that i'm not sure if i should be learning now or wait untill i get better. taht why i have problem prioritzing what i should learn first. have you any tips on how i should work my way up to a decent speedcuber? of course i train alot and i am still learning f2l, pll and oll but there are just so many other details and i want to practice as efficient as possible. i hope you understand me! cheers!
ali mudarres I hope I'm not too late. First, learn full INTUITIVE f2l. This is extremely good for getting used to cfop, and how the whole process works. A really good tutorial on this is by "THE SERGS B" (I just did all caps to highlight, I don't think his name is all caps though). Then learn 2 look oll and pll, there are a ton of videos on this After you are comfortable with this , look up algs for tricky f2l cases, again, there are a ton of videos, Note: you don't need to know full oll and pll, or advanced stuff like coll, ollcp, wv, and other subsets to be fast. People are even sub 15 with just 2 look oll and pll A good website with good algs: Cubeskills.com It was created by Feliks Zemdegs (widely regarded as the best/fastest cuber in the world) with the algs he uses, ranging from basic oll, pll (and he recently added full F2l and "useful" F2l algs) to more advanced stuff. If he uses those algs, they should be really good
Is this a good way to insert if it’s last slot? Put the pair in front, but have the color on the F face be opposite of the center. This is like the pair in 3:39 but you have to do a U2 to get the pair to insert with this algorithm. The algorithm to insert is: R2 F R F’ R
Hi I solve with beginner CFOP however I'm trying to learn 4LLL. Do you have an F2L tutorial since I currently solve top layer corners and then move onto edges (which takes twice as long as pairing them on the bottom)? Please link it for me :D great vid I'll be re watching it once I learn how to use F2L pairs :P thanks
Hey there, I commented one of your videos one month ago about my around 70 seconds average. Since that I've been practicing (I'm serious about becoming sub-20) and I've found some improvement. Right now my pb is 26.45, and my average is around 40 (I've got around 28-36 often but only when the cross is so easy that I can predict my first pair, or when I take too much inspection time, but then this isn't legal). Anyways, more important that times right now for me is efficiency, which I've been taking into account more often, specially for some of the F2L cases (I think in the long run). My question is about the hard F2L cases for which I often did inefficient solutions (and am transitioning to a more efficient F2L). So some of the cases are intuitively understandable so I don't actually memorize the algorithm, just work on them and with time i guess i will get them into muscle memory (please confirm) (for example, the way to split the pieces or take out the pieces from slots is a little tricky). But some are less intuitive, so I'm deciding on learning efficient algorithms for those cases. Is this what I should be doing? Any other tip on what can I do in my training to keep improving, and eventually sub-20? Sorry that I write too much. Btw for the last layer I'm doing 2 look oll and 2 look pll.
+Diego E. Nazario Ojeda everything you said is right. also don't learn Algs that are too complicated for F2L, generally just R/U/L/some F moves. learn full PLL soon, and just watch lots of example solves to see what habits you should be doing and what kinds of finger tricks there are. when you learn PLL, check out finger trick videos
Wow you reply so fast haha. Thanks!! So do you think I should use unlimited inspection time to predict always the first pair? Now I'm more consistently predicting the cross moves within the 15 seconds, but just that (I still can't predict the first pair unless cross is easy).
Hi J Perm , thanks for making these vids! I am a lefty too so it's good to know there are super fast southpaws out there ;> Two questions i have for you, at 1:26 you save the rotation with U F' U' F. You could also do the moves Dw R' U' R I believe. Do you consider the Dw moves to be cube rotations and would the Dw moves be comparably fast to use ? peace
Really nice, a few of these helped me. Also, What's your opinion on this J(a) perm? I've become quite fond of it, but my AUF just feels a little awkward after it, do you have any tips for improving the AUF, or is there an alg that you think is better? I feel like the standard that's similar to that one N perm is just awkward for me. F U' R' F R2 U' R' U' (R U R' F')x2
I use x R2 F R F' R U2 r' U r U2, which has easy AUFs if your finger tricks are good. and I also recommend the standard R' U L' U2 R U' R' U2 R L/r' but the AUF is really tricky here. The reason I don't use the one you showed is because the move count is pretty high (16) and I don't find that it flows as well as some of the other sort-of-high movecount algs like T (14) and Jb (13). You can certainly do the TPS faster than the 2 Ja algs I said above, but those are only 10 moves long.
Thanks for getting back to me, I'll keep playing with things until I find something that flows well with an easy AUF. Also, a video on finding f2l pairs during inspection would be really nice if you ever have the time. Sometimes I can find a pair, but most of the time I'll try to track a corner and just completely lose it during my cross, especially if it's a cross that uses 4 or 5 faces.
0:20 case 1 F' U' F insert left: F U F' insert 1:35 case 2 R U R' insert left: L' U' L insert 2:36 case 3 R' U' R insert (r' U' R U M') left: L U L' insert (l U L' U' M') 5:40 case 4 R' U' R U' R' U R insert left: L U L' U L U' L' insert 7:15 case 5 R' F R F' insert left: L F' L' F 7:53 case 6 R' U R' F R F' R left: L U' L F' L' F L' a note for me
can you make a video with tips/ tricks on how to plan out your cross during inspection? I know you have a video on making an efficient cross, but it's different. I can always solve the cross in 8 or so moves, but I can't plan them all out at once. I have to start it before I can fully see how to make it.
Vztec v1 To practice, you could try to do the cross blind after inspecting, that will force you to plan out as much as you can. And you will get better after a bit of practice
I am a Beginner level cuber, I know Beginner's method and I am learning CFOP. I have a cheap cube. Which cube should I get? My solve time is around 1 minute.
Any cube that is decent will do. This includes budget cubes around $5-$10 sold on speedcubing sites. Once you get much faster and require a better cube, there may already be better cubes released that you'd rather spend your money on then.
Hey I have started a channel regarding cubes but to take it to the next Lvl I need sponsors .. So hv can I get them .... Could u give me a tip on how to get a sponsor
I used M moves by left hand since you said it was better in pll teir list also I mirrored my 'cpll's for the same reason But now I know you are lefty I think I am gonna continue my own algs If you have any opinions please reply I'm fine with that
I am just asking which hand shall I use for cplls Cause is it that that you use your left hand since you are lefty? Or some other reason? So what is best for me since my left thumb is bit disslocated
+RobotikEmpire i don't use all the algs shown here. if the white sticker of the corner is not on top, then for those cases pick 1 alg that you like for each of the 2 cases. I personally use the ones where the corner is on the front left if the edge is in the back right. and vice versa.
smart. ok that should be easier :) I can do them all no problem but I really only do them from one angle so sometimes I have to do a y2 to set up so this will really help. Thanks for your content, it's great!
How to be sub 15 is coming soon! I have not forgotten!
J Perm Nice!
J Perm what about sub 20?
sub 20: ruclips.net/video/dlecfVyFmrk/видео.html
J Perm are you forget for sub 40 and 60 😞
When will 4x4 Videos come?
f R f’ has changed my life for ever.
😂😂😂true
I discovered it from feliks zemdegs, from his 4.22 former world record
Me too lol
YOOO THAT ID GENIUS, THANK YOUUUUUUUEGFUSHTURUTWYEIJGEITEUHFHDIUUDADHFUDBDUFBDJ
Isn't it f R' f'?
0:19 case 1 ( colors mixed and white facing out ) put corner left, F' U F
1:18 case 2 ( colors mixed and white facing you ) - corner on right, R U R', or put corner on left, and M' U R U' r'
2:24 case 3 ( white facing outside, top color matches outside color of edge
Nice good job
This video is so helpful for me as im trying to get better at f2l look ahead, avoiding rotations is a life saver
You're turning us into Feliks Zemdegs.
Dammit i'm sorry i'll try not to
Ahaha
Feliks doesn't use so many wide turns
+Liquoricilicious I've seen him use f R f' and R' F' U' F R, and many people use r' U' R U M'. Wide turns are okay as long as they don't hinder look ahead. Same goes for L2/R2/F2, but sometimes they make look ahead hard so in those cases it's best to avoid them.
@@JPerm im a cuber but i dont understand this lmao
dude, i've never thought of inserting f2l pairs with wide moves lol
Ya Feliks use it
Again, Very well done J Perm. VERY helpful. I'd love to see more F2L tricks like these. I'm VERY new at F2L and I'm sure that these will help me.
6 years later... how are you at f2l now? did you stick to cubing!?
Amazing content. I love that you seem to try your best to explain the algs in a more intuitive way, that makes learning much faster. you make it look easy. learned a lot from this video!
- Case 1/6 0:19
- Case 2/6 1:18
- Case 3/6 2:24
- Case 4/6 5:14
- Case 5/6 6:54
- Case 6/6 7:46
Noice
r' U' R U M' is one of my most used F2L algs. Super handy for back slots
Even though I average 22 seconds (which for me is pretty nice) I have never thought of doing these cases in this way. Great tutorial!
Thanks! Glad to be of help
Which cube??
Just recently hit sub 30, in the process of learning all the OLL cases. Didn't realize how lacking my f2l game was! Sub 20 here we come!
How much do you average now?
Full OLL or 2-Look OLL?
lil❤
[0:56] Did he just assume my handedness?
Yes Im afraid
Can you make a video on improving turning style? I am unable to turn efficiently, which creates lock ups and a lot of pauses.
just practice doing slow solves, that should help you turn smothly
Search up fingertricks. J Perm has a few videos on it
Bro I'm telling you are one of the best cuber in RUclips you tell every minenute steps bro hats off to you 👍👍
please do this with more f2l cases. this video is so helpful
3:38 You can also insert it by f R' f'
was just about to post that .. i prefer that insert also
That's pretty good! I thought of that before but not until now did I realize the finger trick is not bad. I'll be experimenting with that insert in my solves.
So how is the fingertrick? I still find it much faster to rotate
First thing I thought was to use this insert
To avoid the rotations I usually do d or d', I think that doing d and d' is fast and the lookahead is simple but this movement takes a soft regrip of fingers, which are on the back face
Tricks are killer.( Superb)
Best use of wide moves.
I also use "d" moves insert pairs rotationless, but only if i don't have to do U moves before or after. I think with practice it can be efficient. Also good video! I found a lot of the cases really useful :D
so you use the "d"
now I'm sub 20 and it is all because of your videos . Very nice tips as always👌
J perm, for the second case, I found this really helpful alg : U2 R U R' to pair them up and then F R' F' R to insert them using sledgehammer.
So many tricks! Thank you very much
I wish i could subscribe twice this vid called me out on all my weaknesses i love you j perm
Cool! That helped me a lot.Can you do a video on tensioning and lubing a 3 by 3 cube?
Almost 10K !!!!!!
Best speedcubing channel ever
5:21 you could do: R' F R' F' R U R and then U or U', depending on where you wanna put it. Its great for back right slot cause your solved pair stays in the back
Bro it is wrong algorithm...
make more of these please! :) They're extremely helpful
Hey Jperm, a random question:
Do you think that do Dw moves instead of rotations is a good idea? Or just do it when it saves moves?
Well, only if y U' or y' U of course, otherwise you'd have to undo the U' or U afterwards (or before).
I didn't know about f R f', I love it. Why not do f R' f' for the opposite case instead of r' U' R U M'?
thank you this really helped a lot you should make more
OMG I scrambled the 3x3 and the first case I saw was Case 1 with the exact same colors and orientation!!
YOUR VIDEOS IS VERY BEAUTYFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Case 1: 0:22
Case 2: 1:18
Case 3: 2:24
Case 4: 5:14
Case 5: 6:54

3:42 You can also do f R' f'
This is the video I have been looking for!
This video changed my way of solving cube and the good news is i am solving cube faster
Absolute god for this video
Case 1 : 0:19
Case 2 : 1:18
I love..your..every..videos...😍😍😍😍from..Nepal🇳🇵
For that f2l case at 7:28, from that angle, I do: F2 r U r’ F R U’ R’.
Nice Thumbnail for the video!
3:17-3:46 What I usually when that pair is made is U f R’ f’, which is also rotationless.
Great video! your videos are really helpful.
Jihu Mun rubiks cube
Is this a good way to insert if it’s last slot? Put the pair in front, but have the color on the F face be opposite of the center. This is like the pair in 3:39 but you have to do a U2 to get the pair to insert with this algorithm. The algorithm to insert is: R2 F R F’ R
According to you how's valk 3? And how did you manage to make it cool? And which lube you use????
Please comment
At 3:40 you could also do just f R' f' to insert the pair.
Could you possibly do a video that shows all of the best f2l algorithms, I'm having trouble finding good ones
This was very useful, thank you so much! I will definitely use some of these. Can't wait for the other cases
Really good video 👍🏼😊
Alg (notes):
2:36 : (R' F R' F') (R U' R)
6:16 : (R' U' R) r' (U R U' R') U' r
7:57 : (R' U R') (F R F' R)
instead of y moves, could we use wide d moves?
@Brandon True do the wide d as a push with your non dominant hand, my vperms dropped from 3 to 1.5 seconds thanks to that
I really found that alg r’ U R U’ M’ very useful thanks j perm!

Tell me now😂 how fast you are?
Case #1 = U2 sledgehammer U2 insert what do you think?
Ignacio Muñoz think of how many moves that is: too many
ur the best u deserve more subs 👍👍👍👍
foe the first case you can keep the corner at he opposite side of the cube and do a sledge hammer to pair them
Wow i subbed about a month ago and i swear u were at 4k! Keep up the good work! Remember me when i get famous!
RUclips doesn't currently support more than 4K.
Yeah I got most of my subs in the past month or 2. Thanks, and I remember all the people who have been commenting regularly haha :)

+Lee Likjou most of them, like at least 1 alg per case, not necessarily 1 alg per angle.
Can't wait for the video for sub 15
Hey thank you again, can you do more F2l vids? :D
At 3:15 you could do d' instead and insert the pair
thank you
There is a nice algorithm for the situation at 5:23: R' F R' F' R U R U' R' U' R
Nice
that "algorithm" is way slower
I am a Beginner level cuber, I know Beginner's method and I am learning CFOP. I have a cheap cube. Which cube should I get? My solve time is around 1 minute.
Weilong GTS v2
Any cube that is decent will do. This includes budget cubes around $5-$10 sold on speedcubing sites. Once you get much faster and require a better cube, there may already be better cubes released that you'd rather spend your money on then.

Hey I have started a channel regarding cubes but to take it to the next Lvl I need sponsors .. So hv can I get them .... Could u give me a tip on how to get a sponsor
How do you transition from one case to another without rotation or lzs rotation?
is rotating really that worse compared to some strange algs with F moves where you lose your grip`. i find F moves really slippery
“I prefer L-side sledgehammer than R-side sledgehammer”
You are left handed
I used M moves by left hand since you said it was better in pll teir list also I mirrored my 'cpll's for the same reason
But now I know you are lefty I think I am gonna continue my own algs
If you have any opinions please reply I'm fine with that
How does that make a difference? I mirror my CPLLs and use my non-dominant hand for M moves
So.. left is your non-dominant hand?
I am happy you replied but please elaborate
I am just asking which hand shall I use for cplls
Cause is it that that you use your left hand since you are lefty?
Or some other reason?
So what is best for me since my left thumb is bit disslocated
One of my valk 3 edge is damaged.from where will i get valk spare parts?
contact cubicle
Thanks a lot!
J perm: use f moves in f2l
Feliks Zemdegs: avoid f moves in f2l
WHAT DO I DO.
Use f moves. Good talk
I can't seem to tell the difference between the cases from the back. Any good tricks?
+RobotikEmpire i don't use all the algs shown here. if the white sticker of the corner is not on top, then for those cases pick 1 alg that you like for each of the 2 cases. I personally use the ones where the corner is on the front left if the edge is in the back right. and vice versa.
smart. ok that should be easier :) I can do them all no problem but I really only do them from one angle so sometimes I have to do a y2 to set up so this will really help. Thanks for your content, it's great!
