We had a lot to fit into the day with other commitments so there wasn’t really time to stop and film a load of details. This, therefore, is a bit of a bonus film. I guess you’ll have to wait for the full exposé when the concept it finalised.
As a lover of all things 997 that looks & sounds fantastic & cannot wait for the next instalment. Thanks Lee for another brilliant video - great footage & sounds 👏👏
Good little video Lee. As always, it’s your enthusiasm that shines through. 👍 Re the 997GT3 touring - I think the Shark Werks car could be fun with a Carrera active spoiler fitted instead of the ducktail. That’d be very ‘stealth’ & inline with what the factory did with 911R and 991.2/992 touring.
Nice review, saw the printed version in the latest issue of Total 911. But the article in that issue that was more interesting for me was Irish's training session on the test course. I'm now eager to try "pulling up" on my steering wheel to see if I can get a better feel of my front tires in corners! Very interesting notion, does it really work?!
Looks like Mine Road? Or maybe Highway 9? This is amazing, would totally consider the Touring treatment in my car! To me a "touring" is about adding some everyday livability to the 997 GT3. Ducktail looks amazing on the 997, some better / less harsh dampers would be most welcomed since PASM Sports on the 997.2 is basically unlivable on the street. I honestly wouldn't fiddle with the engine much; IMHO in stock form, it already has plenty of power for the road. Shorter gearing or final drive and the single mass flywheel from the RS, maybe some slight tuning to bump the power and torque curve up a bit is enough for me. I would spend the bulk of my money in the interior - full leather interior treatment, maybe with custom inserts/fabrics on the door cards and seats to add some colour to the primary black/grey interior of the 997. Like giving the 997 the ST treatment - not just stealth performance, but the retro good looks to go with it.
Great video , just got old boxster love its so basic and feels like your going fast when your not 😂 think modern cars have taken fun out of driving and to wide
Porsche marketing is so powerful, even Edward Bernays would blush. The ‘Touring’ was launched with the 991.2 GT3 and literally involved a wing delete, a touring badge and some barely noticeable cosmetic changes. The way people talk about it, one would think it was a different model or something.
Another great video Lee, and possibly another step closer to RPM Technic considering putting their ducktail spoiler back into production for the 997/ 997.... Your thoughts? Also Be great to see any still images, or walk around external video of the cars.
Thanks, yes it'd be awesome for someone to make ducktails for 996/997 etc, let's hope it happens! And agreed, I'd have liked to have got more external footage of the car but we were so pushed for time on the day, we also got a magazine feature executed (for Total 911) so we had to cram rather a lot with the time available!
❤😂😢😢😮😅😅😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 bro you came too soon to come to Northern California because next month on September 29th is gonna be a Porsche show and shine and race at Sonoma raceway. It’s gonna be very very big and awesome. You came too soon to Northern California so I don’t know if you can make it again. Take care look at my comments, bro I say nice things about Porsches.
Fantastic video, that is going to be a brilliant engaging drivers road car. Smiles every mile.
Love the video but I would have like to see more of the exterior on the car like the duck tail spoiler, wheels and other things.

@@9WERKSTV that’s oké mate, I know a more indept video will come and I can’t wait for it!!
Love it. For me it is the 997 every day of the week 😃👍

997.2 is the sweet spot 👌
What a killa VDO. Sik 997, can't wait for the next update fro, SharkWerks !
Excellent video - keep them coming as they are helping me turn into a Porsche fanboy :)
Thanks Andrew, will try my best!
Great video, Tractive Suspension is definately the way to go on pasm cars. But even without Pasm you can build a stand alone set in any 911❤

Thanks Richard! The guys have looked into an active decklid but have found many obstacles at this very early stage, let’s see where it goes from here!
Agree totally. The ducktail kills the stealth (narrow body) look.
Gorgeous thing. Great video Lee
Thanks Matt!
I have driven those roads. So many good ones in that area. Sometimes the pavement can get a little iffy though.
Cool video Lee! Car looks ace too
Cheers Alex!
Ralph is a legend.
Such a dude!
Wonderful 😎
Great video Lee!I like the concept but I would say a Touring means no wing, a duck tail is associated to Sport Classic in my opinion.

Aside from the suspension, aerodynamics and steering recalibration…
@@9WERKSTV yep, let’s not forget that ‘recalibration’ was a no-cost option.
