    Your reviews are very articulate and with a plethora of important information and key facts, which will help prospective buyers a great deal. Well done, mate.
    Although I'm biased, I still think the 997 is the best looking 911 ever made. They got the dimensions and styling absolutely perfect.

      Thank you kindly. It was a great experience with the 997 and sharing it with others is a pleasure. Agreed, 997 has always nailed the styling and dimensions for peak 911.

    997.1GT3 was my first GT3 and it was my daily, literally, took it everywhere! 993turbo was my sunday car.
    Intentionally got a .1 as well so that I could have 2 sets of rims to change myself; track rims with inters and road with 4S's. Perfect fun car.

    They seem great at Weissach, i've nattered to Tom for years over Insta. Absolutely love his 997, proper usable road spec. The Nitrons are also great, i've got them on my 996, albeit without axle lift and electronic adjust! I also had them on my old BMW 2002, fantastic bits of kit and worth every penny! Bravo Weissach/ 9Werks!

    What a fantastic video Lee - love Tom’s car too, especially stunning with that PPF finish. The deep front chin has always been one of my primary concerns with .1 and notoriously expensive to fix on .2. This could be ideal solution 👍

    Like both of the 997 gen 1 & 2 and with the soft setting for road use PASM, hard setting for track. The standard suspension works well for street use and is midpoint between PASM soft/hard settings. Good to hear the Nitron have better control over the factory PASM. There is a vendor that offers an adjustable controller (DCS?) just for the problem on the hard setting which you spoke on. I spoke with several owners that had PASM and decided to go with the standard suspension when I ordered my Cayman S back in 2010.

    How would you compare the Sharkwerks Tractive suspension you drove to this Nitron setup?

    • @WeissachUK
      @WeissachUK 2 месяца назад +1

      When we developed the system with Nitron, we benchmarked it again all the major competitors, this system has more modern dampening and is a very comfortable ride when in the softer setting than any others we tried on the market on the road or dyno

    I’m currently running Ohlins R&T and they are a bit of a handful on the road, something like this would work well for its usage, it rarely sees track work due to its value, I’d rather chuck my s2000 around for that. Will take a look at Nitrons when I get her out of the bubble come spring

    Another great review Lee and sounds like a great solution to our appalling roads. Is it the intention of the guys at Weissach UK to sell this set up as a complete kit for 997.1GT3, or is it a far more personal preference mix and match type set up. Also is this a similar modification to that on the 996.2GT3 at Harbour Cars?

    Can you feature the 997 GT2 please. Seems the Porsche world go crazy for GT3’s (of all eras) but very little chatter on the GT2, which looks the better car by far.

    Nitron are fantastic, is there any disadvantage to doing all 4 wheel lift apart from cost?

    • @WeissachUK
      @WeissachUK 2 месяца назад +1

      Currently, there is only a front axle lift option - only on a Carrera Gt is there an option to lift all 4 wheels

    Hi Lee , great video as always and very interesting. I was undecided on a 997.2 GT3 or 991.2 GT3 CS Manual , went with the latter and still unsure if I should have gone 997 , which you're not helping with lol . Any chance of your thoughts on compating those two would be greatly appreciated . Thanks Mark .

      This won’t help you, but I drove both quite a bit during my hunt for the right toy. I went with the 997.2 GT3. Not only did it feel more engaging, it was so much more exclusive. It felt half the size too. Still have my .2 several years later, I’ll never sell it unless I could get in a 997.2 RS, even then though, hard to justify an extra ~70k for one…

    I took my 987.1 in to Weissach for a major service and they basically didn’t do half of the jobs I was charged for!
    Air filter - not changed.
    Spark plugs - not changed.
    All confirmed by later inspection by independant PPI.
    Wouldn’t use them again.

      Hello @stumpy77 - we’ve never heard of anyone with a name similar to your username on here and we’ve never had any such feedback. All of our work is carried out by a technician that is then verified by a secondary technician to have been completed. We’d be more than happy to chat with you and discuss these alleged issues.

    I’m not si such about the 996.2 not being a GT car, I do on average of 10k kms around Europe every year, the issue is U.K. roads, not 996.2 GT3 ride quality….

    I got Nitron for my last car, the worst company I have ever dealt with. Sent me the wrong spring rates and length of front shocks, and then lied about it. Refused to take them back, but luckily I had insurance on my credit card that sorted it out. I have also seen that they rust like crazy...

    once and for all. The sport bottom does not increase the throttle responce on the 997 GT3 it only changes the TC settings and opens the Sport exhaust"

  • @danjo911

    Sport button doesn’t Change the throttle response, just the exhaust flaps open point.
