@@noahssd3863same!! It’s my dream. All i think about day in day out is cars, but i’m not sure how i can start a career in the world of cars. And Porsche happens to be my favorite manufacturer.
@noahssd3863 hey mate, sure. I worked for Mercedes literally across the road 😂. I was informed of a new position that was being introduced that matched mine at Merc, decided to duck tail and make the switch to Porsche. Best advise I can give: Show them how enthusiastic you are about the brand, and show off your knowledge. Show them you genuinely want to work there.
You should feel ashamed for charging so much in the US. Porsche could easily register gt car owners so we’d get first crack at the new one . But instead Porsche lets the dealers ignore the previous owner so they can sell to the lawyer who wants a status symbol. He pays $150,000 over MSRP. He hates the ride sells it back to the dealer so he can sell it again to another lawyer. It never gets to the enthusiast. For the first time the GT3 is MORE in the US than Canada. Imagine the dollar is worth $1,30 of Canadian but it’s cheaper in Canada. That means Porsche is doing a huge cash grab in the US. So after 25 years of 911s and 3 GT3s I’m done. For Ferrari McLaren or Lamborghini money I’ll buy a Ferrari McLaren or Lamborghini.
7:12 appreciate this is somewhat pedantic but for a company with such renowned attention to detail, the reveal behind a pillar feels like an oversight. That aside, another excellent video and congratulations to being selected as one of the thirty five invited to the launch! Speaks volumes.
I never really like overbite rear bumper that 1. GT3 had. This one looks more like 991 GT3. The only thing I don't like is that they got rid of front bumper DRL/turn signal. I know they said they are redundant now, but it look much better with them
Big jump in price for the base GT3 of around £30k. Additional £19.4k Weissach Pack, magnesium wheels, and other options on top. Some of these GT3 are going to be going out of the showroom at £200k list.
981 S for £35k and done. All the handling and NA sound at a usable power levels for the street. A very livable car with the engine in the right place. If you have £200k then huracan would be the one
Rear seats are huge, alot of people who can afford GT3 have kids but they cant justify buying a 2 seater so they have to get GTS/Turbo instead. Not saying those are not beasts in their own right, but GT3 is something else to any other Porsche. Now they can get a touring as a second car and justify it to their wives because it has seats for kids too lol
You can't imagine how high electricity prices have become in Germany. It's surreal. A folly. It's a small miracle that production is still going on here at all. Well, not for long if it goes on like this.
I feel like their new halo models receive unduly excessive price increases to help offset much higher development costs elsewhere, such as the all new hybrid engine in the 992.2 GTS. Let’s face it…that new hybrid engine cost way more to develop than this parts-bin-special that is the 992.2 GT3.
It’s actually a $50k increase. Especially when you consider that you’re paying additional tax on the increase. Porsche just sees the opportunity for a big cash grab and rightfully takes it.
@@blueman5924 incorrect. I would never dream of “upgrading” my 992 GT3 at this new price tag. Much of the benefit of Porsche ownership is value and the formula for .2 fails the value test.

@12:48 , As far as small changes go, BMW did the same thing with the LCI M3. You are such a lucky ducky Sam!! What a life to have all your experiences with the coolest events with Porsche. What a dream! Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you! 🙌!!
I think its fair for you as a 992.1 owner to not feel the need to upgrade, but as someone who isn't currently a GT3 owner, I've never wanted one more. The shorter gear ratios and Weissach options really sell it to me like no other version before it
Great video Sam!! I always love when you put out some Porsche content!! I want both of the new GT3s, I drive a 991 Touring but with eight year old twins the new Touring would be great!!
The winged version is a lot of fuss about nothing much. When the folding seats are the highlight, that means there is nothing much that's new. The Touring however, is interesting. Seems to me they are trying to create a "production" S/T, the car no one was able to get.
Every new 911 since the 996 (not a fan of that one personally) has been more gorgeous than the outgoing model, yet still proudly displays its roots. Stunning! If I won money, I'd be straight to the local Porsche dealer, but as it stands I'll be lucky if I ever own even a clapped out 25yo Boxster...
It's tough being in the navigator seat of a hot new GT3 when he's doing high speed cornering at night, in the wet. i imagined your face as he hit some of those tight corners at speed LOL Well done, mate.
I didn't like the regular 992.2 GTS, but this GT3 is awesome. And the fact they made this to be better for the road and with rear seats as an option is amazing, that's the only thing I think the GT3 is missing, and the main reason why I love the S/T so much, it is a GT3 with softer suspension.
Price increases because Porsche has seen dealers marking up new cars with customers willing to pay. Porsche curbing demand, making more profits and making it more exclusive.
I don't understand the rave about the rear seats... What is most exciting about this car is the 8% shorter gear ratios so that you can actually use the Revs in a 6MT; and the supposed increased S/T type suspension compliance. Keeping the ICE is also a huge thing - how hard would it be to remove 2 of the 4 CATS hmmmm..
Holy Shit does that Car look MEGA CAPABLE! even the first 10 seconds going on to the track really showed how extraordinarily capable this new gen GT3's are !! records are going to be broken! also the dude CAN DRIVE!
The only thing that has my interest is the 8% shorter gearing. That has to impact the acceleration and they are not letting that information out in a way that it is known. I have a feeling it is going to do 0-60 in less than 3 seconds when they allow real testing to happen with the media.
I'm thinking that I'm more drawn now to the 992.2 GTS T-Hybrid now after the launch of the GT3 cars. The T-Hybrid is faster, cheaper and offers more versatility and you get the back seats as a no cost option. I am not a pretend race car driver and if I spent that much money for a car, i don't think I'll risk taking it on the track. I wonder if Porsche will ever bring out a longer wheel base or even a shooting break version or style 911 with identical front and rear ends to the 911, that is actually a real 4 seater 🤔
without the wing, it looks bald like a frog. Feels weird that a GT3 looks less agressive than a Turbo/Turbo S and even Carrera S. Should've at least give it a smaller wing like on Turbo/Turbo S or a ducktail like on Carrera S

Didn't think black would be nice on an ST, but it's sharp as fuck.

Porsches killing the dealer markups so they get all the profits for themselves.
This is a problem. The GT3 RS started this aweful trend of Porsche's future direction. If people only knew Porsche isn't the end game.
