- The journey continues as we continue to travel Europe. In the next adventure of our Balkans travel, I head back into Croatia to the beautiful seaside city of Split Croatia. What a hidden gem of the Adriatic this city is. Home to Diocletian's Palace this city has a great historical downtown to peruse.

Split looks beautiful. Sitting by the water and having a beer sounds like a good way to end the day.

Split is the main attraction when comes to Croatia, have seen lots of pictures and videos. Love the cozy alleyways and architecture of the city. One of the places not to be missed when in Croatia I believe.

I agree with you, Split is truly one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia. I visited it a few years ago and was captivated by its charm. In summer, it's even ten times better. You can take ferries to visit incredible nearby islands, especially the Blue Lagoon.

Might need to add Split to my list of places to stop at next year. It’s as nice as Rovinj.

The bus envy was real! Too bad the lunch wasn't better. But the scenery around the city and the architecture was a 10/10 in my opinion! Especially beautiful by the water. Its funny to ke to see palm trees and alsk winter/warm clothing. I always associate palm trees with tropical weather.

Omg what a sense of panic when you hear the bus pulling off and you are on it. Glad you were able to get back on. And was that stink bug hitchhiking on the bus? I love that the airbnb host came down to greet you. That definitely adds a personal touch to your stay.
Yeah Mr buggie was jumping borders. He probably thought Mostar was too cold as well. Wanted beach front property.

Split is wonderful. There is a lot of things to see and do. I've been there several years ago, and defo will be back some day :D

I'm not originally from Maine. I just work up here in the summer. I'm currently at a spot called Porcellis in Bar Harbor. I'd be happy to meet up if y'all get into town. I posted it now because I shot all my content over the course of four months. If I had unloaded everything early on I would have no content for a few months at least. So everything is spaced out in my weekly schedule. To give myself time.
Split is definitely one place I want to get to in Europe. and it looks just as perfect as I imagined in your video! Nice to hear youre a sports fan - hopefully your AFL side is Western Bulldogs, little else matters!

Hello, Im from the city of split. One large thing that isnt getting talked about is that depending on city in croatia you should respect there football team. Or else you might get beaten up. For instance for Split and most of the dalmatian coast you should respect Hajduk. But if you are in zagreb or near that then you should respect Dinamo.
Still something I want to do someday is go to a European football match. Just to experience the energy.
