FDNY Firefighters responding and arrive to a reported brush fire inside Kissena Park in flushing. A 10-75 assignment was made in order to combat the fast moving flames.
As you can see in the beginning of the video, there were no active hydrants inside the park which made it difficult to fight this fire.
Water inside the Engine tank was used until it ran out within a couple minutes. Its very rare to have a brush fire during cold temperatures in this area.
Brush Fire Unit 7 was assigned to the assignment to help combat the flames. No injuries were reported. E-274 HMTU was stuck and E-299 also got stuck in the mud.
