To get the coins at 13:58, kill the long guys. For some reason, they're the only enemy whose corpses will collect any coins they touch for you as they fall off screen.
I mean technically every enemy poofs so there is no corpse to collect things. Only shelled enemies like koopas don’t fully poof unless spin jumped on allowing you to use their corpse as a projectile. The mushrooms just follow the logic of non poofed enemies collecting coins.

The Final Final Badge Challenge is exactly what it says, and your "reward" for getting all the wonder seeds, purple coins, and tops of the flagpoles. You have to go through a brutal platform hell segment with each and every badge that changes your movement in some way (so not the ones that give you extra coins and stuff). There are only two checkpoints. Full respect to anyone that gets through that without using a Yoshi.
Yeah that was painful. It would have been even more painful for me if someone didn't put a sign before the very last jumping section, though it really only saves you when missing the beginning of the section. Now imagine that level without any checkpoint.
I stand by it: world 3 would have been way better if master poplin have you the royal seed out the gate and instead world 3 was an entire side quest where you opted to train with him for him to reward you with the crouching high jump at the very end. That one tiny change would have sold the feel of the world, solidified master poplin’s character, and justified there being no boss level all in one. World 3 as it is feels like a side quest and genuinely it would have been much more memorable as one.
About the “it’s lucky for Bowser that all the Poplins were at home to get locked in prison”: 1. We saw one Poplin fleeing into their house when the sky turned green, so presumably those that were outside at the time ran into nearby buildings and got locked in there. 2. Do you really think the Poplins carry the Wonder Seeds around with them? No, they’re probably left in their houses, so if their houses are turned into prisons, the Poplins that weren’t home at the time now can’t access their Wonder Seeds.
I just wanted to say I'm really thankful for your videos and getting to listen to you talk about stories and stuff as you play because I've been putting your stuff on a mix for the past while now because I've been dealing with wrist pain and stuff I'm not exactly sure what it is but it's made it where I've kind of had to stay in bed and just let my wrists rest and it's very helpful to listen to something in the background so thank you for that
@@AdrianBigyesI can't stand hearing that justification. Other 2D platforming games have the courtesy to at least care about putting effort into their cast of bosses too. Pretty much every mainline 2D Mario had all their worlds end with a boss fight, which is the kind of consistency we'd come to expect here as well. It feels very deflating to have 2 worlds end without anyone to fight! Another reason why this upsets me is because it leaves us with very few Wonder Effects used for boss fights. The Mecha Bowser rooms in the airships could have been a climactic final test of platforming skills anyway, but no! I think to me the hardest stage has to be the very final level of the special world. Simply put the name is effectively what the gimmick of the level is and I rather not spoil it but it was the level that I used the most amount of lives on.
So I think you should go to World 5 the Fungi Mines (the purple one) first, as you get the grappling vine badge there, and the grappling vine is really good, for example: -You can gain height up to the top of the screen by jumping off and then re sticking to the same wall -You can cheese a lot of stuff with it -You can grapple to the top of the flag pole -It’s just really fun to use
