    Wheels, not "rims".
Rims are just the outside edge ....... Think of wagon wheels. The rims roll on the ground supported by spokes and the hub in center. The assembly of those pieces is the wheel (not rims).
A cover applied over the wheel is a "wheel cover", not a rim cover. I've noticed lately a lot of younger auto enthusiasts misusing the "rim" terminology. Someone needs to start correcting that, hopefully starting with you and your friends. I have this '53 Ford kit, but have not opened it. Thank you for showing us what's inside.

New set of rims, New set of wheels, bought some custom rims, bought some custom wheels who cares I'm an old fart and I've been saying both for years and years. Kinda like engine or motor who cares people say both have been for years, like Ford motor company they've been saying it for a REALLY LONG TIME LOL.

There is a harder distinction to make between motor and engine, but not so for wheels/rims.
If you really only bought custom rims, then you can't mount them on your vehicle. There is no center spokes or disc, or a hub to mount the rims on axle. Your tires might hold air with rims, but they'd do you no good sitting on the floor in your garage!
Lazy language use is no excuse. 😉
I'm an old fart too, but spent my career in engineering. Say rim when you mean disc, spokes or wheel, and you don't get promoted!
And I think it's important to teach the younger generation coming up the right information.
