He took little sister, paper machete, and go with the flow, stripped them from what they’re great for, and ended up with a corny, swade version… 3/10 this time
@@fastsavannah7684 funny since I feel like the most effort went into making this kind of feel like it's own thing, it's not even something you jump at and say "Oh yeah that's QOTSA!" at first, it does sound like a different route they could have started to go down around the time of Lullabies.

By the way, I'd love to see how '21st Century Schizoid Man' (King Crimson) and 'Purple Haze' (Jimi Hendrix) would sound if Sleep wrote them
So for context, I love both bands, & Everlong is one of my favourite songs of all time - and this is BRILLIANT! It's giving big Rated R/Lullabies to Paralyse energy, like the guitar playing style and licks and tone are all spot on for Josh Homme circa 1998-2005, which also makes sense given Everlong came out in 1997. Like this straight up feels like a Rated R B-side. Amazing work :)

I play this game with my mates where we randomly play one of your "If xxx wrote yyy" videos. Whoever first knows which band xxx is gets a point and who first knows what song yyy is also gets a point. Getting the band right never is really a problem as you are so good at it, getting the song right proves to be a bit harder sometimes. Good fun, especially after a couple of pints.
