No, it does not take four hours for a detailed acrylic set with designs to be done. That was too long, seriously.

@@Tata-iu3fy I have naturally long nails with an acrylic overlay, (acrylic fills, file/buff, polish and designs) she is usually done within 1-1 1/2 hours. This is designs on two fingers per hand. If we are using regular polish include maybe 15-20 minutes for dry time.

It takes me four hours to do my Own set of Acrylic left and right hand at beginner lvl ! My nail tech only takes about 45 min tops with my nail designs I request . Last time it was with Mickey and Minnie kissing on ring finger and middle finger .
Your nails are typically sore because the fake nails is to small on the beds of your nail .

The nails are nice but not $200 nice. There are places where $50 are the same with better treatment.

Oh sure..... Look at her intricate designs and all of the add ons she got like the gems, etc. This is a JAPANESE nail salon and the highest quality materials. Where can you get something like this done for $50? It should be AT LEAST $150, since $200 is quite high.
It wasn't a high-end place. Not when it's in a warehouse and have plywood as walls. Sorry girl you just paid $230 too much. Not worth it.

As a nail tech, I think it's kind of worth it. Colored and glitter acrylic is more expensive than a regular set of clear acrylics. Doing multiple colors and french style requires more talent and time. Then she freehanded nail art and used gel polish, which is more expensive than regular polish. And the gems/crystals look real, which also increases the value of the set. Those stickers are called paper forms and they require so much practice to be able create a set with them and are more sturdy than gluing on tips, so I can see the price increasing there. Price also depends on where you live and what brand is used. The tech who did this set has amazing talent. For NYC I can totally see these being $200, espcially seeing this salon seems more high end than your typical nail place. If I was in Washington State, I would've charged probably roughly around $75 for this set. If the length was longer, roughly $100 on my own. If I was still working at the high end salon I did back in WA, it would've probably cost around $125-$150

I do agree with the video saying if it's a one time thing to spend this much on nails for a special occasion. $200 on a regular basis doesn't seem like a good idea, but to each their own
Anika Dani Rubio it’s not “worth it” necessarily... it’s all about what someone will pay. Prices are always based on location. Artists ability, talent, and time always matter but that’s hardly what the price is based on unless you’re running your own business.

Im studying to be a nail tech and it takes me an hour to do one hand of nail forms so the timing actually does make sense. Nail forms take eternity because you literally have to sculpt the nail it's a talent that even I still have to learn.

Samantha King Even if she didn’t like the end results, it would be too late. It’s already on her nails. So like it or not-she needs to somehow ‘appreciate’ it. It’s a $200 nail afterall 😂 Well we have different opinions and I respect that but I think we all can agree it was a rip off. The staff saw how hyped she was with her nails so they took advantage of that (not to mention they know she’s not from NY). They did a ‘cute and simple’ nail job for $70 (max) and NOT for $200.
(Also, it took them 4 hours to make that simple design? Srsly? And you think that’s not a rip off already??)
i understand that, it is hard to do nails. I agree and don’t think it’s worth it for $200. But you have to give some credit. camouflage nails and orange french tip is what she said she wanted. So i don’t know what you expected from that. So just keep that in mind that at the beginning she asked for some pretty ugly things.

I'm sorry but there's a difference between getting "robbed" & paying quality nails. If you want the cheap stuff go ahead, you get what you paid for, that doesn't mean that every service that is expensive is quality. These nail technicians spend their life and pretty much career perfecting their craft just to get where they are. Nail Supplies are not cheap, especially quality gels, most of their supplies come from japan ( not cheap to bring to the US). That's why some nail salons charge the way they charge. Once you become a nail tech you understand why the price :).
im a nail tech and here in las vegas we would charge you about $90 the most ... $200+ is just them taking advantage of you lol. basically your paying her $50 an hour if you were there for 4 hours.

Agreed. I live in Vegas and 200 is way too much. My nail girl in st.george does hard gel with any designs you want and rinstones for a full is 50 and a fill is 35. And I've never had anyone do a better job than her

Yeah if you dont like having designs on your nails then it's a stretch. But a fill with designs like she has in the video would averagley cost almost $50+ , some people charge per design or per rinstone. So if you like to get every nail to have a different design rather having just all one color. it's worth it.
I'm a nail tech, too and can you imagine doing someone's nails for 4 hours hunched over with no table in front of you?! Major back issues in their future. Not to mention that price is insane. Lol

I’ve done nails for 27 years, most of my career specializing in acrylic, your nails should NEVER hurt after getting acrylic done. That’s a matter of application. It should NEVER hurt, that being said, the length, the attention to detail, and you NEVER know how much education one has behind them. The price, in my opinion, should have been higher for the amount of time. However, the plywood behind the chair suggests something COMPLETELY different. I dig the camo ❤️❤️

spent almost $250 on nails for our entertainment n will make back wayyyyyy more so don't worry she wasn't scammed all in the youtube game... the price amount is what brought me to the vid and i am sure loads others cause its almost at a million views so ms frills know what she doing gotta spend money to make money.... btw the time method design etc all adds up so it wasn't just for the nails (nail tech here)...also i would have liked to see a nicer atmosphere the place was not on par all that should factor in.

I think her nails are nice but not for $200. They charge about $60-80 for what she wanted and take a much shorter time to do it. Maybe an hour and a half at the most and that includes a massage which I didn't hear her mention. I think they were overcharging her for a pleasant experience that I think you deserve as a customer receiving a service such as this. If she enjoyed herself that's great because to her it was money well spent but realistically they charged way too much

I'm a nail tech and have worked with nails long enough to know how long it should take...to start off that salon doesn't even look like a salon...and to be charged so much for a salon that trashy looking isn't good at all...that design should take the most an hour and a half

Sabrina Vargas I agree with you and I’m a new nail tech and just doing freestyle sculptured nails I do them in maybe 2 hours if I’m taking my time. And an hour for toes but 4 hours for just nails and no toes for 200$ is crazyyyyy.
Just watched this, as a nail tech myself, yip $200 is way high I feel cause really there was no real intricate work on there to justify that price. Was glad to see they were sculpted and not tips. Girllll!!!!! Nooooo. I have way longer nails than that naturally and I wear contacts. You aren't supposed to use your nails to take the contacts off. OUCH! just use the side of your fingers or pull at the side of your eye tightly and blink they'll pop out super easy and quick
