alxdava2004: Actually it does matter a lot. Seeing fake exhausts is driving me nuts. If they are not real then hide it. It looks absolutely stupid. But people who are not into cars then for them it really doesn't matter.

So most individuals will lease while businesses pick these up as their vehicles to use and write off expenses on. Bottom line is the CEO in the back gives two fucks if its his own money being used.

The best spec ever seen from me was the BMW M760li excellence no one ever reviewed as far as I know and it has features that I didn’t see in this car. M760li is officially a underrated Luxury car now.

This is the first time I’ve ever preferred a 7 Series to the S65 AMG. What an brilliant car and the colour is awesome.
P B I can’t wait to see what the new S8 would be like. Or the A8 W12. It will definitely be interesting to see which is best at what and which has its downsides compared to the others
Ben Mayall I’ve been in one of these when it first came out and it’s the first time I’ve felt the 7 Series is better than the Merc. Hopefully the Audi uses some of the tech from the new Bentley Continental from Porsche because it’ll be very impressive.
P B the 7 series don't sell for a reason. If you have that type of money, why not just buy an S65 or a Bentley. It's just a better investment.
V12ish that’s a weird claim, how is it an investment to buy the S class that costs over 100,000 but not the 7 series? If anything over £100,000 buy a Bentley and if you want a great car get the normal 730D for £70,000

My family had the 2018 model, I think it was a 740 xDrive. The best thing about the car is it makes you feel like a king without a care in the world.

Why weren't you guys saying the same when Auto Guide tested the 760i against the Panamera Turbo, in one of their comparison videos? To me, there's nothing wrong if someone simply says he/she would prefer to buy the 760i/760Li instead of the M5, like I would. But it is when automotive journalists compare those cars in a comparison tests, is when I think there's an issue.
Tyran..Sorry bro. I didn't see that one. Still it would seem to me that would be a better comparison than the M5. After all, the Panamera is supposed to be the large, sport "sedan" of the Porsche nameplate. Anyway, I agree with you. There's always someone trying to compare apples and oranges.

That you didn't see the Auto Guide video I'm referring to is understood. But, the BMW 760i/760Li compete against cars like Audi S8, Mercedes Benz S63/65AMG, and Porsche Panamera Turbo SE. The Panamera Turbo S is not in the same segment as the the 760i. It compete against the M5, E63S and Audi RS7. The Auto Guide journalists even mentioned that the 760i is a larger luxury sedan that can used to hauffeured CEOs and Executives.
For me, I prefer to buy the S63AMG or BMW 760i instead of the M5 or E63s. And the reason for this is because of the more comfortable and luxurious experience, in addition to the great acceleration/performance they offer that is not far off from that of the M5 and E63s. That is all I'm saying.
It’s my dream car. Luxury, performance and sound combined to this beast

Yeah that's what is putting me off buying one. I have the money but justifying £350 pm maintenance + petrol + 10k per year depreciation is difficult. That's easily 16k+ per year that could be in the bank instead.

Water test on the engine reminded me of the Lexus LS400 from the early 1990s. The V8 was so smooth you could rest a cup of water on the engine, rev it and you wouldn't even see a ripple on the surface.

I've got an E38 740i and a 740iL, love them both. I've also got an F02 750Li, love that too.
This though... What I would do to own an M760Li.😩 By the time I can afford it it'll have been replaced by a superior model like all my other cars.

130 grand today is a lot more reasonable than 150 grand 12 years ago for the S65 which, let's be fair, is now simply an inferior car to this. Hard to choose between this and the new S65 though. This is sportier & more aggressive but less baroque, less special somehow. New S8 should be an interesting rival.
and yet it will not even last as long as the 12 year old s65. So actually, no 130k today is not alot more reasonable than the 150k 12 years ago as cars are not made with reliability in mind these days as everyone and there mom leases and trashes the car as much as possible.
@@F14Mavrick the W220 S65/C215 CL65 was of horrible build quality. The engine however should hold up with regular maintenance. A Mercedes V12 is no joke.
@@visionist7 an rx7 holds up well with regular maintenance but that doesn't make it reliable. Yes I agree that a v12 is no joke either. The cars today are made cheaper for a reason. You can not discount the fact that German manufacturers don't over engineer their cars anymore. The price to performance may be good but that is all. N54 from bmw has horrible in reliability. The f10 m5 has major maintenance that needs to be done at 100k and I have many more examples. 130k for a car that will barely make it to 100k without major maintenance is not good value in the long run. Even Doug dimiro (think I spelled his last name right), major RUclips car reviewer even said it, these cars are not build to last. They are leasers dreams to always get into the latest and greatest.
@@F14Mavrick I ran a used N54 for eight months. It never had issues but maybe I got lucky. I don't recall having any servicing done either. Back in the day you could do it all on your driveway but not anymore sadly
@@visionist7 definitely got lucky I would say. I would go even further to say that is awesome you didn't have any issues. Amazing potential for that engine. Had plenty of freinds that had the n54. They where always in for service. High pressure fuel pump always needed replacing along with the spark plugs and a host of other things. Many of the issues that the n54 had, bmw fixed with the n55. Many didn't like that engine. Even though had the same specs as the n54, it didn't have they same torque delivery and the potential as the n54. One of the reasons bmw used the n54 engine in the 1m before it phased out the e82 chassis.
I myself still have an e82 and I do missed the days when wrenching in the drive way.
the previous LCI model is also very nice... i like them both.
as for actual gen, the silver interior part on central console should have been black in my view.

Lotte Larsen Doug doesn’t really review cars though. And what makes Doug.. Doug is that he isn’t good at filming and editing. He still uses IMovie for editing lol. But his is more about showing you around the car and pointing out it’s quirks and features rather than reviewing it

I do like Doug but I feel as if he deliberately drags out every single point on the video to make it as drawn out as possible to extend the video length. He will literally explain the same thing twice if it’s on both sides of the car.. I miss the days when he used to do short videos on weird cars and he used to show us cars he’d bought.

Alexandru Catalin how is it? A V12 gives the smoothest possible power delivery and, when demanded, excellent performance. The car is quiet, comfortable and rides well and is not “too sporty” for a limo.

It doesn't come down to technicalities, what it comes down to is that Audis are for German cement factory salesmen.
Better to do the 50 pence piece test on top of the v12 to show the smoothness. They did that with the jaguar v12 all the way back in 1970.
