Omega now hold the crown ( pardon the pun) of having the highest depth rating with the Ultradeep. The Deepsea is now rather obsolete against the cheaper , more wearable and imo better looking Omega.
222 is in the top 3 of my collection, it's brushed finish, thin profile and restrained proportions lend it to a much more classy aesthetic, in contrast to the majority of gold sport luxury timepieces. VC knocked it out of the park on this one
One thing you mentioned in your recent Ferrari video was the link that some people have between sports cars/performance cars and mechanical watches. I don't know if it has already been done, but a video on your watch channel about this subject may be interesting. My brother likes Ferraris and Porsches, while I tend to favour old school American muscle, but we both also like mechanical watches.

If you think it looks good online , wait til you see it for real. It is seriously great watch. They are all excellent choices by you.
The blue ceramic Audemar Piguet and the Vacheron 222 would be my choices for 2022. My wishlist (and more in my price range) is the Christopher Ward Bel Canto... an unexpected surprise.

I’m so curious about how you buy your watches. Do you have one AD you have a relationship with? I buy all mine from Pragnell in London and have a good relationship, but they don’t sell AP or Vacheron. It’s so tough to try and convince a new dealer to give you a chance when they don’t know you. I can show them my instagram and that I own over half a million pounds worth of watches but they still won’t give me the time of day, especially given my age (26). I’m also curious what job you do/did to be able to afford all your watches? Thanks.
I just took delivery of a Casio Oceanus OCW-T200. If you have never heard of this brand I suggest a quick look, might need a VPN on your computer as it’s Japan only. Tudor is the cheaper Rolex. imho Casio Oceanus is the cheaper Grand Seiko of sorts. Never have to adjust the time, date or use a watch winder ever again ;-)
Count me in among those who "get" Studio Underd0g, but as your typical "watch guy on a budget," I'm content to admire all of their funky designs from afar until one comes along that really grabs me. The eggplant came close, so of course that one was a limited edition and I wasn't quick enough. Maybe something next year will be equally up my alley.

You can sell all your watches to get your dream watches, me having the casio edifice ecb 800db is enough for me. I used to chop and change my watches within my collection but realised what I wanted and liked and stuck with that, for me I would like a IWC big pilot or a tudor black bay 58.
Some good choices however the Rolex deep sea is the horological ash tray on a motor cycle, no practical use to man or beast. All the same if you get one make sure you get the sleeves on your sweater stretched a foot wider for the wrist roll. 😂

Truly hope you get the gold PP you deserve it. Magnificent is a reasonable choice of words for it the other pp 5711 whatever is on the ' just another 5711' list God knows why PP have gone all Don King and defaced their own product by putting girly pretty pretty stones on everything. Why not buy a nice watch and a nice sparkly bracelet if that's your bag. Combining both ruins both IMHO 🤦 but as usual a beautifully put together video Finally on a small point of order, I really wish manufacturers would put out real world pictures not these heavily stylised photoshopped renditions of them. I realise I'm highly unlikely to ever see most of the high ends stuff in the real world so a proper picture would help get a true idea of what it actually looks like 👍
Message to Rolex - you should lower all the Deep Sea Challenge watches to the bottom of the trench and record it - before selling them. Probably wouldn't be that expensive and would be an incredible marketing initiative. Owners could buy their watch knowing that it had been to the deepest part o the ocean - and have a video record of the Journey
The Rolex is not the deepest watch in the world, it’s the omega ultra deep but it wasn’t made in production in the maximum depth because it was huge… rolex doesn’t care about that and just want people to think it’s the record holder lol
@@pabloogl_ Laurent Ferrier worked for Patek for 37 years and helped produce the Aquanaut. I’ve seen these watches and they are on a par with Patek and only 400 pieces in total produced in a year!
I really enjoy watching channels on the buy side - I.e watch collectors who showcase their collections - it gives an insight into their character - There are far too many channels on the sell side with the attendant criminality and money laundering which covers most of the grey market dealers - In addition you also have big mouths like bark and vomit and jenni elles gibberish who also endorse the grey market dealers . So much prefer this channel - interestingly why does RUclips algorithm pump Roman sharf shyster - when I never bother watching him and not buy side watch collector channels like you !!
It is interesting. I never realised how many of the RUclipsrs are actually watch dealers (particularly in the US), which is how they can get hold of so many watches. I do like Jenni Elle's enthusiasm though.
have you ever thought of trying a group purchase. e.g. approach an AD and say, HI, I have 4-7 people who want this this and this .......... can you make it happen? it would help those of us who save for a couple of years, are ready to by a new Sub, but have the purchasing power of a small ant. and we get to piggy back your AD relationship thoughts?
