Favorite Aang moment was when he grabbed Ozais beard, and deflected the fire chop with the back of his wrist. That moment was when all his lessons he ever learned just amalgamated. He used force of will, stood his ground, redirected energy and maintained his pacifism.
That scene kinda makes me realize how frighteningly powerful his avatar state truly was. I just finished rewatching legend of korra and honestly her avatar state never felt like it truly struck fear in her opponents, it never seemed as terrifying and as strong as Aang's was and every time I see that scene I practically feel the ferocity radiating from him. And it breaks my heart to see him go from a state of pure rage to excruciating pain and sorrow.
@@mish2637 Well tbf, Korra's avatar state did intimidate Zaheer as he was running away for his life like Ozai was, and it's sheer raw power made Kuvira surrender.

Most Avatars had a decade to learn the elements. Aang had less then a year to learn 3 elements (+energy bending). And he mastered water bending along the way. This kid is so powerful

@@gabrielmena8569 it's a comic for atla it's the last main comic with multiple parts that they had there's a comic called katara and the pirates silver and there's one coming out in February about tophs metal bending academy
Some people really need to remember that not only did he become a master Airbender in just 12 years, he also mastered all the four elements and the original form of bending.
This is used in Aangs journey aang was a monk scared of his avatar responsibility but then his race was almost wiped out he was the only one left then he got trapped in the ice berg and when he came out met katara and sokka he hit his lowest point when the airbenders went to extinction with exception of aang and he changed when he met katara and sokka
Aang didn’t flee from the avatar duties, he fled because other monks were about to send him in another temple away from Gyatzo. He just did what a regular kid would do when they hear news like “we’ll send you away to a new home”
That was the tipping point, but the pressures of being the Avatar were weighing on him even before that. He was losing everything he loved about being an Air Nomad- his friends, Monk Gyatso etc- and instead pushed into training even harder for his Avatar duties. That’s why in the finale, he once again has to choose between his duties as the Avatar and an important part of his Air Nomad identity- the Air Nomad philosophy that holds all life is sacred. Instead of running away, he faces down Ozai and makes a choice, sparing his life but taking away his bending, the middle ground between the two forces that rule his mind. Essentially, the show can be boiled down to this: *Can Aang choose between his responsibilities as the Avatar or his responsibilities as the Last Airbender? Or will he run away from both to avoid choosing at all?*
He mastered two of them, being really proficient with fire and somewhat above average with earth. Still impressive for less than a year. other avatars did that by theyr late 20s. Aang was fully realised before he left the teens. He was a true powerhouse.
Avatar aang is one of the lost respectable and incredible avatars ever cuz he ended a hundred year war . Helped Fire Lord Zuko rebuild the world into an era of peace and love and learned how to energy bend . Now you gotta admit it's not every hundred years you see an avatar who can do all that.
Umm, one major problem here...the guy that was trying to get Aang into the Avatar State never was supposed to be his Earthbending teacher. He was just the leader of the group that was supposed to escort the team to Omashu so Aang could learn from Bumi.
There's several problems... bending the clouds was only waterbending, not a mix of air and water. It's literally just condensed water lol, that hurt to hear such a goof when it's elementary science. There was also Aang's solution to beating Ozai. That wasn't THE solution like the narrator says, but rather Aang's selfish solution. Homie risked the world to avoid killing a man that threatened everything lol. Granted he is 12, but still. Helped Zuko find his mom though, so it worked out.
Watching this from kids to teenager, I never realized how perfect Avatar is Idk what I think in the past when aang ran away from air nomads, but now I can understand how hard it must be for him to hold the destiny of the entire world in age of 12. Almost sounds like having to be Avatar before manage to understand himself, as Aang.....
probably why they also usually told the person at the age of 16...which mean that they deemed that the person is mature enough to accept the duty of the avatar

I absolutely love the analytical breakdown of even the “thinking” behind all forms of bending. It literally explains all his struggles and overcoming them to be able to master them.
For me the greatest and beautiful moment of Aang (and the series) was Aang protecting himself and locking Ozai at the same time, thinking as Toph has taught him but keeping his will of not taking a life away, thinking as a air bender. The exact opposite sides of the coin. Think and not think. It was the best seconds of the series and it made the whole journey worth.
The “like earthly acupuncture” sentence at the end made me think, back in nightmares and daydreams, when toph said acupuncture, what if Aang only screamed, but didn’t run off, then toph accidentally hit his scar and then that triggered the avatar state??
I feel like growing up, everyone had a crush on Zuko but I was the only one who liked Aang. I would imagine what it would be like to be Katara and having someone love me like how Aang loves her

I'd like to see a SPIN OFF of ATLA, from the 100 Year War to Aang's ''goodbye'' to the world which must include: - The relationship of Aang and Katara - How Toph become the police chief (then why she went to swamp) - What ACTUALLY happened to Sokka and Suki - Zuko's new life as a Firelord and most *IMPORTANT THING* ... - *IROH'S A FEW DEBUTS IN REAL LIFE AND HOW HE DIED AND MAYBE A FEW STORY FROM SPIRIT WORLD* ...like in TLOK :)
I think my favorite moment ever, is when Aang, Katara, and Toph take down the giant drill in Book 2. When he runs up the wall and then back down to hit his giant spike!!! One of the coolest things I've ever seen in animation and live action
@@princezuko9430 But it took Aang 12 years for him to learn water, fire and earth while Korra already had the basics of those down when she was around 4. They were both great benders, Korra just happened to struggle with air.
aang was probably the strongest avatar that we know. air, water, earth, fire, enegry, connection to spirits, and control of the avatar state. he was even smart with his bending.
I like it when he learned the earth bending mindset and FINNALY started to actually use brute force but in the same time he remembered the other mind sets especially the air one which makes him a powerful bender
I would really the avatar comics or kyoshi's story is turned into an animated series and I hope we get to see a graphic novel for yangchen as well as she is probably the most underrated avatar.
I wish Atla could add a prequel season or something or like a background story called Book 1 Air, and it could show what life was like for aang while he was learning airbending.
General Feng wasn't the Gaang's first choice for an earthbending teacher. Feng was merely meant to escort the group to Omashu so he could train under their actual first choice, Bumi.

Lol so true
Read kyoshi stories. I immediately fell in love with her
HAHAHA. LOL😂
My favorite Aang moment was "Firelord Ozai you and your fore fathers have devastated the balance of this world and now you shall pay the ultimate price" and then he roared and almost killed Ozai
In the end of the series I'd say he was a legendary master of air, a high master of waterbending and nearly a master in earth and firebending.

Imagine if they watch the movie first
Apparently you can just put words in whatever order you want
@@oreocookie8213 at least they wouldn't hate the movie as much as us
People like that already. That's why they're making these videos.

I have a question, Zuko or Sokka?
@@mapped5475 sokka!!!???

My favorite moment of aang was when his avatar state was back. The way he hit ozai’s hand away after holding his beard.
zuko: YOU'RE the airbender?
aang: lol no I just like the vibe
Lol
Avatar Yang-Chen: *wasnt a fighter, and brung peace*
Avatar Aang: *isnt much of a fighter either, and helped bring peace*
Avatar Yangchen was not a fighter?
buddy you need to read the Kyoshi novels
And just think: this all happened because sokka forgot to wash his dirty socks
OMG SO TRUE 😱😱😱
socka
@@gamersoda8439 It was a joke
@@gamersoda8439 he mean to say socka because the comment said about socks and its sock a socka
I love it
I will say this, the moment when Aang put iut the fires left Ozai's wake still gives me the shivers when i see it. Its so symbolic on so many kevels. And among my friends whi i warchec tbe whole series wuth, i was the firdt to realize what it meant.
I'd like to see a SPIN OFF of ATLA, from the 100 Year War to Aang's ''goodbye'' to the world which must include:
- The relationship of Aang and Katara
- How Toph become the police chief (then why she went to swamp)
- What ACTUALLY happened to Sokka and Suki
- Zuko's new life as a Firelord and most *IMPORTANT THING* ...
- *IROH'S A FEW DEBUTS IN REAL LIFE AND HOW HE DIED AND MAYBE A FEW STORY FROM SPIRIT WORLD* ...like in TLOK :)
Zuko almost kills them: Also zuko: hey zuko here🤣
The best quote he could ever say 😂
@@diptiarjaria228 whatever 😐😒
So true 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
aang:throws a rock
Toph: your an earthbender!!
Me:throws an rock
Toph: your not an earth bender
I think my favorite moment ever, is when Aang, Katara, and Toph take down the giant drill in Book 2. When he runs up the wall and then back down to hit his giant spike!!! One of the coolest things I've ever seen in animation and live action
Korra: "airbending so hard i can't do it:( "
Aang: "9 months? Say word"
Well air was aang,s natural element
Also Korra didn’t have the the freedom as an airbender because the White Lotus kept her in the South Pole
Tbh Aang's biggest mistake in life was telling the White Lotus to train the next Avatar lol
@@clawww2439 yeah but Aang learned the other three elements in lesss than a year when it took korra 16 to learn one
@@princezuko9430 But it took Aang 12 years for him to learn water, fire and earth while Korra already had the basics of those down when she was around 4. They were both great benders, Korra just happened to struggle with air.
I love how they do this so well Their videos explain so much pretty much the entire series AMAZING

Avatar the Last Airbender is the best animated series of all Time
Not just the best animated, the best in general
Period
Not change my mind. *PERIOD*
i 100% agree
You're not wrong
aang was probably the strongest avatar that we know. air, water, earth, fire, enegry, connection to spirits, and control of the avatar state. he was even smart with his bending.
I love it when Aang finally unlocks his seventh chakra
I like it when he learned the earth bending mindset and FINNALY started to actually use brute force but in the same time he remembered the other mind sets especially the air one which makes him a powerful bender
I would really the avatar comics or kyoshi's story is turned into an animated series and I hope we get to see a graphic novel for yangchen as well as she is probably the most underrated avatar.

Aang: I don't think I can do this
Bad guy:I'm gonna hurt Katara
Aang: hope you have a will
I wish Atla could add a prequel season or something or like a background story called Book 1 Air, and it could show what life was like for aang while he was learning airbending.
Isa Abdul-Hafeez or maybe book 0 or book 0.5
18:40 “the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself” Sun Tsi - The Art of War
General Feng wasn't the Gaang's first choice for an earthbending teacher. Feng was merely meant to escort the group to Omashu so he could train under their actual first choice, Bumi.

The callback to Roku battling the volcanic eruption as Aang was currently holding back his own volcano was just perfect.
I think I can speak for all of us when Steve Rogers and Aang have a lot in common
I love how Azusa casually kicks away rocks that weight like 10 pounds.
I think how they "attacked" the earth king's palace is an amazing scene.

But hasn’t anyone noticed that there are no blonde people in the whole series? 👱🏼♀️
because it takes place in native american and asia. Also Yue had white hair 👩🦳
15:34 I just realized that Zuko showing up as Aang's Fire Bending teacher is like that old saying "When the student is ready, the master will appear" even when that master happens to be an old enemy
