  • Said with a thick Greek accent, “You like the sauce?” This episode features homemade tzatziki sauce - the garlicy, greek yogurt-y dip that brings everyone together, yet pushes them further apart at the same time. Tzatziki - easy to make but difficult to pronounce- will be the tastiest thing you’ll put on your pita bread this week.

      Sounds like a great idea. Personally, I wouldn't add it to the tzatziki because if it sits for a few days, it will get a very strong onion taste. But add it to a sandwich for sure!

    • @theevankaras
      @theevankaras  3 года назад +2

      Thanks! Pro tip. If the tzatziki sits for a day or two the garlic begins to ferment and the taste gets stronger! I love it.

    Absolutely love your approach to cooking and life choices :D Full fat when needed! Fat is not bad, it's all about portions (size and how many) and general health by exercising and staying fit. Stay away form the bad things or at least minimize alcohol, chips, candy, sodium rich foods and sugary drinks. And get lots of fresh air. Go biking and hiking! Final piece of advice. Eat lots of of cruciferous vegetables (kale, broccoli, sprouts etc.), pesto or basil, garlic and ginger! Then you die happy at 100+.

      Minimize/eliminate added sugar. Simple to eliminate sugary drinks and candy as you said. Then look at labels and try to avoid "Added sugar" - has its own line on the nutrition label. Sugar is used in everything. And it could be called a poison for all the harm it does.

If people don’t try different things the we wouldn’t have 99% of what we have right now.
