Hell yeah, I was about to say that right now, too dude. Lol. Especially the 1st 2 songs. Grab the devil by the horns and fuck him up the ass sounds like Four Horsemen and The Bitter End sounds like Through The Never.
I don't care what anyone says, In Too Deep is one of best written songs on guitar ever created. It basically conveys 5+ genre styles in one song and is musical masterpiece.
Honestly, just the opening riff is pretty amazing, the way it meshes the two parts together. I didn't even realize it was two guitars playing until a long time after I first heard it.
The best use of any song in any TV show is still that scene at the driving school from Malcolm in the Middle where Reese is stealing the driving school car and kidnapping his coed out of spite, then realises his mistake and ultimately ends up just nailing the driving school course, then parks the car perfectly, gets out and says to that girl: "When you tell this story, tell them I grabbed your boobs.", and then gets bodyslammed by a bunch of police men...all while In too deep is playing. And it's just perfect.
I always wanted you to make sum 41 riff video! This is so awesome! They are punk band, but I can feel thrash metal inside them! My childhood's nostalgia \m/
Thank you so much for not showing Sum 41 as a pop punk band only because of their first album (second? if we count Half Hour of Power as one) which is what most youtubers seems to do. I really hope they'll have the recognition as a heavy rock/metal band they deserve in the future et get rid of that pop punk image most people still seems to have.
Why do I not remember sum 41 being this heavy… like why did my childhood brain lump them with blink and Green Day and alternative bands… oh wait then I heard the third and fourth riff xD
I love your channel SO much, man! It's really great. I discovered quite a few bands thx to you. (And gosh I *love* Sum41!) Btw, hope you'll have/you had a goodnight. Rest as much as you need, we can wait
never really listened to sum myself (about to rn) but you can definitely tell metallica was a big influence lmao, definitely heard battery and the four horsemen at least
These guys may not be the most Metal or the Most Punk, but they may be the best at blending these two genres. I was at their last Atlanta Show, and most of the crowd were punks, but we had a lot of Metalheads there too. Plus The Interrupters were such great openers
Niiiice! I've always liked Sum 41 and when they decided to get a little bit metal I liked them even more. P.S. Your guitar has a lot of bite! Aren't you afraid for your hands and arms? 😆
Годноту подвезли! Ребята, налетай, тут всем хватит! =)) Братуха, ты как всегда отжёг на отлично! Давно хотел спросить: ты сам по себе или в группе тоже играешь?
Their two most recent albums - 13 Voices and Order In Decline - have some of their best and most 'metal inspired' riffs, why didn't you include them in the video? I'd have included Goddamn I'm Dead Again, Fake My Own Death, A Death In The Family and 45 (A Matter of Time), at least.
@Shane I guess you haven't listened to the blood in my eyes or screaming bloody murders riffs because those are the best sum41 riffs. Don't get me wrong I grew up on all killer no filler and chuck those album's slap but the screaming bloody murder album has the best riffs by far.
The riff at 1:48 reallly sounds like the riff in the break of Pull harder on the string of your martyr by Trivium ruclips.net/video/d0dD59FYxJ4/видео.html
Wow, their guitarists are great, i didn't expect these riffs. Now my third attempt) I'd like to tell you, and to your subscribers, about one good russian rock band Lumen, these guys are not full time metal band, but they do have a metal side, songs like "C4", "02 Благовещенск ", "fuck off" (:D), "не простил", etc. Check them if you want. Hey guys! Turn ON subtitles 😉
Good night bro!
Sick riffs bro🤟 also good night
Now have some sleep, comrad
my subtitles were already on so I was shocked at first
Ha very cool 😎 . Hope your having fun getting out there again.
Ps. Sleep 😴 who needs that 🤣
SUM41 - the most metal punk band that exists. The riffs speak for themselves.
Not surprising either. They often talked about their love of Heavy Metal.
Maiden and Priest were the gods that they praised.
@@MazzWindu and 'Tallica
@@juanbautistamaciel6767 I mean, probably, but it's from the lyrics of "Fat Lip"
@@MazzWindu lol, my bad
You can see by their riffs that Metallica has been a huge influence to them
Totally
Not at all lol (sarcasm)
The Bitter End is basically Battery
@@8tonystark8 yeah, more like Through the Never

2:56 That Thanks For Nothing breakdown was definitely one of THE BEST material that any punk band ever creates
1. Motorbreath 2. Through the never 3. Battery and I'm literally 30 seconds into the video - these lads love some tallica
To be fair, that motorbreath rhythm is very punk and iron maiden-ish itself. But the bitter end is a metallica tribute song
And 4 horsemen as well at 11 seconds
@@magicznygrzegorz5828 Yeah!
Great job , Sum 41 are VERY underrated in musicianship
Sum 41s mix between punk and metal is the best thing rock music can offer

Ahhh yes my favo metal punk band , they made me transition from pop punk/rock to heavy metal, great riffs all around , good job!
I’ve been waiting for this ever since I got into Sum 41
One time I asked my coworker if he wanted to listen to Sum 41 and he said “No I’m not twelve.” Love Sum
Even though I love Sum with a passion I think that’s a hilarious thing to say
Didn’t know they have such good riffs, amazing playing as always
have you heard pain for plessure? it's basically if iron maiden wrotte the song
Still waiting on top 10 dead Kennedy’s riffs. But good video.

Pop punk with thrash influence
우왕 한국인이다 반가워용
does this look infected, all killer no filler, chuck are such good albums!
13 voices was pretty good too
Screaming bloody murder was amazing too. Their darkest album for sure
Whole discography is amazing
SBM has some awesome riffs (Sick Of Everyone for example)
I love order in decline, and 13 voices so much. Both are still in my top 10 albums of all time^^
this needs a part 2 with riffs form screaming bloody murder, 13 voices and order in decline

Imagine they actually did play Thrash, their Metallica cover of Master of Puppets prove that they know how to deliver that 80's Thrash sound
Sono stato 2 settimane fa ad un loro concerto in Italia e hanno suonato Master of Puppets... Spettacolare e potente!!! Adoro i Sum 🤘
Another great video, glad to see some love for Sum 41
Dude! No Pain for Pleasure!!?? Well at least you had Grab the Devil By the Horns. Solid work as always.

I’m glad The Hell Song made it. I was kinda hoping to see Pieces, though. Great selection!
the bitter end is almost a metallica song
A tribute for sure.
It's basically the little punk pop brother of battery
Check out State Of Mercury's What If Bitter End was on Master Of Puppets

I was halfway through thinking Mr. Amsterdam better be on here. And sure enough, next riff 😆
Didn't really pay much attention to Sum 41 back in the day, I now realize that I should have!
just noticed how metal some riffs are
My favourite band! Sum 41 has so many good riffs!
Glad they're finally getting some recognition
Dude! Killer riffs bro!
Very well executed mate!
Sum 41 riffs are the bollox! 🤌
Sum 41 had the best riffs out of the entire “pop/punk” scene. They really just shit on everyone else lol Oh and Summer should’ve made this list.
Man!!! Sum 41 gotta be the heaviest punk band out there.
Good video! ... One of my favorite songs from Sum 41 is 88

I hear Fight Fire With Fire and Through The Never in one song, awesome! You know Metallica riffs inspired them just by listening.
Mr Amsterdam is a headbanger
Couldve done 41 riffs and still had some room left for the top ten
