I haven't forgotten this game. It traumatized me. It taught me about amarican healthcare and I cried so much because i couldn't afford medicine for my sick piñatas that my mom took the game away.
If you buy the stupidly expensive Cutlass that the beggar sells, it stops the ruffians and Professor Pestor from entering the garden. I was obsessed with this game as a kid, my favourite pinata was the Doenuts. Oh and the Galagoogoo is meant to be a Madagascan EyeEye. The small lemur with huge eyes and freaky thin finger.
As someone who put way too many hours into this game, here are some answers to questions and general tips I learned from the wiki: 1. The more of a piñata you have, the less amount of lives you get during the romance minigame. Having two of a piñata gives you 5 lives, three piñatas give you 4 lives, etc down to 1 life. That's why the Flutterscotch minigame only gave you one life. 2. The game considers trees to take up a LOT of space. If you are having space issues, consider selling/getting rid of a tree. You can also see what is taking up space in the journal. 3. The shovel head is meant to let you whack Dastardos with your shovel to temporarily stun him, giving you more time to deal with sick piñatas. There's also the Dastardos Scarer that you see at the end of the video, that also increases the amount of time it takes for Dastardos to enter the garden. Some piñatas can also help stall Dastardos, you can find a list of those online. 4. If you have a Candary wear a gas mask, they will go into the mine with the Diggerlings. I'm not sure if they increase Dragonache chance, but it's something to try if you're still trying to get the egg from the mine. 5. A lot of people have talked about Professor, so I'll quickly reiterate that you can pay him 500 coins as a "bribe" and he will leave your garden. There is also a Captain's Cutlass item for sale at Ivor's: having this in your garden will prevent the Professor AND all Ruffians from entering the garden. 6. I believe the visual bug is due to how Rare Replay emulates the 360 for Viva Piñata and TiP. I've found the best way to get rid of it is to completely close and reopen the game. If anyone knows any helpful tips I've missed, please post a comment! I'll also post if I think of anything else. Happy piñata hunting!
1. While this only works in the original Viva Piñata you could sell weed flowers for a profit, one time I just filled a garden with Venus piñata traps and sold the flower heads when they wilted, this won’t work for TiP but in the first game it was a good way to make some cash. 2.Ivor sells a universal fertilizer in his shop, and while it’s pricey you don’t need to go back and forth with Lottie for fertilizing. Come TiP the seed bag and fertilizer bag tools negate the use of this fertilizer. 3. Trees and bushes can be fertilized three times like other plants, increasing the amount of active fruit nodes, but the timing is tricky, you need to wait for the buds of the next phase to start growing. Planting the seeds in holes will make the process of waiting a bit more tolerable. Additionally tapping them so many times kills the tree/bush, best to let the fruit fall off naturally. 4. Cocoadiles have a hidden ability of being able to fertilize plants if you tell them to go to a growing plant. 5. Tafflies have the ability to make fertilizer by being told to interact with fruits, it will make a fertilizer depending on fruit color 6. Tafflies like to be watered despite getting scared, this is fixed in TiP. 7. Chillies are one of the better for profit plants you can make. Their fertilizer is cheap and they don’t take too much space up.

Great video! Thank you for shouting out Return to Paradise, we appreciate it very much! The game is absolutely still in development, and we are excited to bring our ideas to life and share them with the community!
Man. Viva Pinata was so fun back in the early days. I spent SOOO much time trying to get Pinatas I wanted. There were always Pinatas that would visit me, but I struggled so hard to get them to stay. I'd scream if I didn't get that stupid deer that would walk into my land, but leave after.

The game keeps NO backups of your save, so for safety you'll definitely want to manually backup your saves. At 1:00:55 I think the piñatas are sad because the garden is crowded, the trees take up a lot of space and in the journal there’s a way to see the percentages of everything.
I adore, and I mean ADORE, viva pinata so much. The only thing that traumatised me as a child was beating the pinatas with the shovel, and when they're near death how they cry out in sad agony...
I want this gameeee I remember watching my cousin play it when we were kids (we’re the same age I just preferred to watch rather than play) it was so cute😭
Crazy that this popped up in my recommend, I was just thinking about this game for no reason the other day. I use to play it all the time on my 360 with my dad
I hope done day there be a game similar to this but with balloon animals. If I knew anything about game development, I’d make it myself. Viva piñata was such a core game to my childhood, and was so much fun, and I love the aesthetics of balloon animals so a game combining the two would be peak joy in my life.
i've had this on in the background while doing dishes the last few days and it made me get viva pinata working on my 3ds. the nostalgia just came flooding back, as well as my whirlm overpopulation XD
I absolutely LOVED this game as a kid. So much that I was literally attached to those little guys. I was really sad when they ate each other but learned the circle of life that way. Trouble in paradise was fun as heck too. I played this game from ages 4-10 probably and they gave me so so much joy. I'm honestly pretty sad that they didn't continue the series after like 2010. Edit: my favorite pinata was Taffly. I was a strange kid. But they were so friggin cute and I loved them sitting on corn.
I used to play the demo version of this game all the time, I had forgotten about it for years but this video brought back so many memories and so much joy. I’m definitely gonna have to play it again soon ❤
I loved this game so much growing up played it all the time! One of the things I learned was that if the workers aren't helping much give them a bunch of cash and they will work so much better after also I believe your pinatas were sad because of how little walking space there was they were probably getting stepped on by the bigger ones which will make them incredibly sad very fast
Omg I use to play the racing game when i was little. 😭😭 I loved the characters designs and stuff so I was obsessed. I could only play it at my dad’s house tho…. Who lived ours away and I only got to visit like once every couple of years. My mom couldn’t afford an XBOX lol but I probably would have gone crazy on this game.
Im just about to finish recording it! Then the long process of editing. But since a lot of people really want it. Im going to lock in and hopefully have it out by the end of next week.
I don't think anyone forgot about Viva Piñata. I think most had their minds purposefully forget the game after watching their beloved, cute babies get vored by another piñata and/or rage quit when the super late game piñatas would never visit when you had the requirements or would eat half the things/piñatas they needed and then walked away. I am definitely not still enraged by the Roarios and Chewnicorns only eating some of the stuff but never all. Not at all. Also, raisants for president.
I love that every good version of the sours have an extra ability they can do to help. The cocadile can fertilise your plants the crowla can scare one of the invaders same with the mallowolf which I think chases Pester out the garden etc.
The elephant and airplane reference is something old heads would recognize immediately, you young cats gotta watch more classic films.😊 It's referencing the 1941 Disney classic, Dumbo. About the little elephant with ears so large he could fly like a plane. Which operation Dumbo drop was referencing as well, so you guys were pretty close. 😊👍🏾 🎶But I've been done seen about everything, when I see an elephant flyyyyyyy, (with the wind) When I see an elephant fly.🎶
I played this game so much it was crazy. I sold almost my whole garden for a Dragonache and he ended up DISAPPERING. I literally didn’t play after that and then I came back and randomly I found him again. I want to play this again so badly.

I want this gameeee
I remember watching my cousin play it when we were kids (we’re the same age I just preferred to watch rather than play) it was so cute😭
I was obsessed as a kid, but also so poor. I would do the demo as much as possible... trying to collect as many pinatas for my garden1
I'd happily buy a copy of Rare Replay for PC, but for some reason we just have to emulate these old games. This game was definitely a gem.
Crazy that this popped up in my recommend, I was just thinking about this game for no reason the other day. I use to play it all the time on my 360 with my dad
I hope done day there be a game similar to this but with balloon animals. If I knew anything about game development, I’d make it myself. Viva piñata was such a core game to my childhood, and was so much fun, and I love the aesthetics of balloon animals so a game combining the two would be peak joy in my life.
this is one of the games i spent hours on as a kid, but got nowhere and was slightly terrified of
I’ve put hundreds of hours into this game and I still didn’t know some of these piñatas existed 😂
Underrated Game Series. Such a vibe; and a great way to pass time!
i've had this on in the background while doing dishes the last few days and it made me get viva pinata working on my 3ds. the nostalgia just came flooding back, as well as my whirlm overpopulation XD
RUclips algorithm blessed me this morning with this video 🙏
Please do a 100% completion for this game! I really enjoyed this video and looking forward to more videos from you
I absolutely LOVED this game as a kid.
I loved this game SO. MUCH. The little noises they make still fill up my soul~
i played this as a kid and had consecutive nightmares because the plant lady freaked me out so bad
I remember playing this game on a sonic demo disc
I felt so bad having to put my pinata animal down as a kid
The fact rare would rather fight with their own community with Sea of Thieves rather than make a new viva pinata is a war crime
Holy cow I didn’t think people still cared about this game I played it all the time growing up
I've been after this video to scratch the itch of never completing it, thank you.
I played this as a kid (and all the other Viva pinata games) and I still play them to this day😂🎉🎉❤
Now do 100 days trouble in paradise
I absolutely love this game! I use to play it all the time when I was a kid! It was one of the first games I had on the 360. So nostalgic ❤
This was a super fun video!
This vid was amazing!!! Im so sad to see that it was posted so recently though bc I was planning on watching the TiP playthrough immediately😢
Im just about to finish recording it! Then the long process of editing. But since a lot of people really want it. Im going to lock in and hopefully have it out by the end of next week.
@@flegzo Awesome!!! Im looking forward to it :DD
Good video,
this game is so calm and nice to play, i really liked this series of video games, TiP and Party animals were also very fun
Thank you! Yeah it’s honestly one of my favorite games ever. I can replay it so many times
unironically one of my favorite games
I love that every good version of the sours have an extra ability they can do to help. The cocadile can fertilise your plants the crowla can scare one of the invaders same with the mallowolf which I think chases Pester out the garden etc.
I remember playing this on the DS and something you could do was kill the piñatas and a death character shows up and I’d try to mess with him
The elephant and airplane reference is something old heads would recognize immediately, you young cats gotta watch more classic films.😊
It's referencing the 1941 Disney classic, Dumbo. About the little elephant with ears so large he could fly like a plane. Which operation Dumbo drop was referencing as well, so you guys were pretty close. 😊👍🏾
🎶But I've been done seen about everything, when I see an elephant flyyyyyyy, (with the wind) When I see an elephant fly.🎶
Viva piñata has been my favourite game since I was little
I remember watching the show when I was really young. I had no idea it was based off a video game.
You didn’t wack the heck out of the NPCs, wild
I played this game so much it was crazy. I sold almost my whole garden for a Dragonache and he ended up DISAPPERING. I literally didn’t play after that and then I came back and randomly I found him again. I want to play this again so badly.
