Originally from the Fairlight CMI it was taken from Stravinsky's Firebird. Peter Gabriel had it playing a recording of it while messing around with the Fairlight CMI sound sampling feature and accidentally recorded the orchestral hit part and he like it so much that he kept it. It soon passed to his other musician friends and eventually Fairlight got wind of it and decided to make it a permanent sound sample thus ORCH5 was born and was used by Konami in all their arcade games in the early 90s 😊
GREAT GAMES ...I STILL HAVE THE Lethal Enforcers 1 ORIGINAL POSTER FRAMED ON MY WALL I GOT FROM AN OLD GAMES SHOP YEARS AGO WAS A BIG FAN OF THESE GAMES STILL PLAY THEM ON EMULATORS NOW NICE POST
I love these games. My friends, siblings, and I remember playing them at the arcades of fun centers, pizzerias, amusement parks, and anywhere else we could find them.
I remember watching the same copy on Ebay for years, it stayed around $40 and never sold. Finally the seller brought the price down, that's when I made my move and bought this version. The only home version of these 2 games I don't have? The Sega CD port of the first game. Have beaten Lethal Enforcers 2 on this plenty, but the first game seems like it throws so many enemies at you, that it is hard to keep up with.
Kombatologist getting into any police department is so goddam Political nowadays. You could be a military veteran, pass all written exams, go to the academy while paying out of pocket, clear the psych exam (fucking joke), even get a two or four year degree just for entry level rank in some more snooty neighborhoods/departments...but so do thousands of other people. If you don’t have connections or don’t fit some “quota”, you get passed over for some mindless dipshit who is a detriment to the badge and to their fellow officers. I know people now on the “supply side” of crime who wanted to become cops but were turned away because of this...sad too, they could’ve been great cops.
19:18 In the more sensitized version (SNES version and the like), this stage is called *The Gunrunners.* Certainly not much different in dirty dealings than the original chapter name.
I remember when I would play laser tag at LaserTron up until the lockdown due to the pandemic, I would utter lines that the criminals would utter - like "You missed me, pig!" and "YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!" to name a few.
Used to own this game as a kid on PS1. and I'm pretty sure it's among my favorite games; At the very least, I remember playing it alot. I dunno why I remembered this, and not sure why I'm even sharing it in the first place, but I remember finally being able to beat the helicopter/final boss on Sunday, exactly the day before my first day of grade school. Never beaten the Lethal Enforcers 2 though. Pretty sure I'm always stuck on 48:42 because I'm very young and dumb, and I don't speak English back then, so I have no idea what to do at that part.
The best home port of the arcade altough some mistakes are present like the sound of the rifle in LE and missing letters in the presentation of levels(after the digitized video). Colorful digitized graphics and fast animation the music differs a bit from the original. Thanks for the longplay.
I've posted this elsewhere but I'll ALWAYS bring up. How many people are robbing that same bank at the same time on the same day? 29:20 😲 An attack helicopter? Now that is some LETHAL ENFORCING! We ALL KNOW a TRUE enforcer carries a Colt Python. Cause if one is going to get into a shootout they may as well go in style. I guess 🤣 It's just NOT the same as playing on an arcade machine or one of the old game consoles.
Not to mention there weren't any crosshairs on the screen I played the Sega Genesis version and I didn't have the light gun from Konami and when using a controller it gives a crosshair which if I remember right changes based on what gun you have equipped.
For anyone looking to play this game with a Justifier, be aware that the shot registration in this game is very inaccurate, meaning that your shots will often not hit where you're aiming the gun. This is a critical design flaw and means you're almost better off playing it on a controller. It's not a fault of the Justifier, as other games use it just fine. How Konami messed up the programming on this game with their own lightgun is beyond me.
Try the Madcatz Blaster for the Sony Playstation 2 which is a blue color. It has auto reload and auto fire. It works with Guncon 1-2 and normal. Seems to work great with Lethal Enforcers 1 & 2.
@@chrisdavis4292 Would you kindly elaborate? Everywhere that I've read online says that Guncons do not work for LE on PS1. Are you playing a patched version of the game? Also, what do you mean by "select normal?" I just ordered a couple of Justifiers and Guncons so I'm curious, thanks.
@@Bloodreign1 Lethal Enforcers 1 & 2 for the Sony Playstation is definitely the best port. Second would be the Super Nintendo version. With the censorship it looks faithful to the arcade version. The Sega Genesis and Sega Cd graphics are very grainy plus it's missing some elements like shooting at windows and signs and it's missing the enemies energy meter. Gameplay is the only good thing about those ports.
@@GaryBeltz Would have been nice if "Termintor 2: Judgement Day" was ported onto the Sony Playstation and Sega Saturn. I have the Super Nintendo version which looks closest to the arcade.
This version of LE 1 runs a bit too fast, allowing enemies to pop out far faster than they should, really ups the challenge of the game. LE 2 seems to run fine though. Sega CD and 16 bit ports were made easier for the home market as the games no longer had to eat quarters. The PS1 ports of both games though, either were harder (LE1), or retained the arcade difficulty (LE2).
To this day I still like to pop out from behind stuff and shout "No" with my hands up before I slowly move back into my original hiding spot.
Sometimes I still randomly yell "Reload!" for no reason at all.

Same. They got the inspiration from Dirty Harry when they made this game.
