- Story 01: Army Hospital:
My Grandpa is a retired army officer. Every winter holiday my sister and I visit him. He lives in the mountains, owning a small tea garden. Every time we go there we get to hear his spine-chilling experiences gained from war field. Each of his stories stands out but the last holiday he told us something that still gives me nightmares.
Story#2 - Brother In Arms:
A young boy retells the gruesome yet touching story of his late Grandfather Alexei Ivan as he was one of the few to survive the horrific Siege of Leningrad.
STORY#3 - Moonlit Siege:
My grandmother served as a nurse during World War 2 and there's one story she tells that has always stuck with me. The Nazis were cruel, but my grandmother learned that there are worse things out there than men with guns. And that the Nazis were monsters in more ways than one.

As a Russian person who’s ancestors are from Leningrad(Saint Petersburg right now), I’ve heard so much stories from those that were stuck in this city during the occupation of WW2 as children. There was absolutely no food. Children died from hunger, teens stole money from their relatives and ran away in order to survive. They were lucky to even find a rat . It was real life hell.

I’m remember my grandfather telling me WW2 stories. Like him and best friend where in the same platoon. Their Company marched for days endlessly , they were both exhausted and knew there would be regular stops, they snuck off into a barn with hay and went onto second floor to hide in the hay while resting their eyes. Some time in the night they head v2 rockets flying overhead in middle of night. Later that night they opened their eyes and noticed instead of looking at barn roof they saw stars instead. So apparently the rockets had ripped off roof flying by. They went to regroup only to find their entire company wiped out.

My grandfather served in WW2 aboard the USS Shangri-la CV-38. It was a aircraft carrier and he was a radioman. The only thing that he ever told me about the war was he heard men yelling out on deck and he went up to see what all the hubbub was about. He said as soon as he got out on deck he saw men yelling and pointing up and when he looked up he saw a kamikaze plane flew into a destroyer. RIP John William "Jack" Jones. You were a amazing radioman but a even better grandfather. I've missed you since August 2nd, 2014 when you went to the great beyond with all the sailors from the Shangri-la. Another story my grandfather told me he was in a trench with his best friend and during fire fights and breaks they were talking but eventually his friend stopped talking back, he looked over and a sniper had blown his friends head off. I was told these stories when I was maybe like 6 or 7. I was raised very unsheltered from the realities of the world. The second one is based totally in reality, during the war and after food scarcity caused cannibalism in many places in Eastern-Europe. One that I truly know about since I'm Romanian is about Moldavia that became part of the Soviet Union and the soviets took most of the food for them. People in rural areas where dying by the dozens, some people took out planks out of their floor to make coffins for their selves and their family and started laying on them as they died. Children started missing and rumors of cannibalism started, from people that dug up fresh graves to people kidnapping women and children to eat them.

The man who told the first story is a Great narrator.
That jumpscare scared the shit out of me tho 😂
Yeah such a sad war that war in Utah. So horrendous.
I love the voice you use on this channel. It really catches my attention and makes this channel interesting.
I think the creepiest thing was, when I was on a field exercise preparing for deployment, I was pulling security in a humvee, the guy I was with and myself were on the back of the vehicle just chilling on the outside, I was stuck there longer than I should’ve been, from 9am-12:30amish because of poor communication from my platoon and headquarters….well around 12ish I it was pitch black and the only light we had was a bright full moon, me and my partner were fucking around with jokes, shit talking and whatever, all of a sudden we hear this howling in the trees about 150m ahead of us but the howling was further deep in the forest for sure..we looked at each other and we’re like “nah there ain’t no way” then we heard it again and it was for sure a lot closer but we couldn’t see shit and my buddy took his NVGs out and nothing, so I got ontop of truck and was looking to see if I could see anything and nothing…then we heard it a third time and I told him “bro we only got blanks and shit else I’m getting in that damn truck” and we both stayed inside til relief came. Next morning we find out the forest is riddled with coyotes and even though they don’t normally come near humans, another security point had to get a hold of some people because 2 coyotes started circling around them in their LMTV
The second one hit different for our brave soldiers who died ✊
3:54 "That day, I felt war is much more about suffering and torture, than glory and pride."
What is war if not suffering for one's beliefs and/or orders?
That actually makes sense 👌
I love a good werewolf story. Too bad most movies can never seem to get it right.
true
WW2 German veteran mustard gas lost their lives
What’s funny is that the Germans had “last ditch” guerrilla fighters called “werewolves”. It was mainly occult propaganda, but they did see action. Perhaps this story took inspiration?
I've been watching IMR for almost a year now and this one right here is the best you've ever done ngl
The 3rd story reminds me of an episode of Love, Death and Robots. It has the same concept of werewolves in the military, but it’s common knowledge.
That was a perfect episode 👌
That Soviet episode they had was great too, and it had correct weapons/equipment unlike this video.
Out of all three stories I feel the first was the most bone chilling, the guy witnessed the ghost of a soldier, that was missing the top half of his head.
Yeah my grandma was a utah war vet she saw similar things.
@@garrysmith5562 how old are you? Google says that war was in the 1850's.

I can't believe you don't have a million subs. I have been watching since before the pandemic lock down. You are so talented your voice and narration is wonderful crisp clear well spoken. The animation is great but a lot of times I blur tooth your content to my headphones clean cook even fall a sleep sometimes. Mobid ASMR my way of thinking haha. Just wanted to say phenomenal job. For all those watching not subscribed show some love and mash the buttons he deserves it this a lot of hard work and talent wrapped up to make something very entertaining. I imagine the pain of that soldier with his brain exposed...It's unsettling for me, But I serve no hate. Your content is great as always!
I never saw my great grandfather but me and my family are so proud of him as he was a part of D-Day and fought with courage. As he was a part of D-Day he lost one of his legs and he was unable to fight anymore so he was taken out
He died on 1985 after health complections

My grandfather and great uncle served in the military and another great uncle was a merchant marine in World War 2.
My grandfather's unit were in the Pacific and the story I remember most was when he told me about traveling through mountainous jungles with mules to carry supplies.
My great uncle served as a bombardier on a plane in Africa when he was shot down and died.
The other great uncle made it through the war and even sent home a German machine gun that he found on a dead soldier on a beach in France.
A friend of mine told me a story from his own grandfather, one that served in the infantry. He talked about how they came under artillery fire and how he best friend's arm hit him in the face as he jumped into a trench, best friend no longer attached.
Awesome video IMR you post every 3 days and there awesome
You should have been more accurate on the types of weapons that has been used on the times of the 2nd world war
And Uniforms

When you watch these at night and there’s one person it’s scary but when you watch it in the morning with two people it’s not
Ok, I loved these stories and the second one was said but as soon as Grampy got his one grandson all together for saying that nasty stuff to his brother.....I knew Grampy had a damn story that was gonna make me cry? I get it's a story(but millions of soldiers have really died and there was brothers and other loved ones who risked their lives for each other)I don't get how the younger brother and Grampy didn't shoot at those cannibal dudes before they were able to attack? Then they could've at least still had each other to help ease their pain of losing the little sister? I loved the the 3rd story because werewolves are my favorite monsters and I wasn't expecting that twist? Also I love war stories when they throw my furbabies in the mix, and I love how the beast looked because usually other animators don't make the creature look terrifying! As always the narration is superb! U gentlemen are definitely about to reach that 500,000 before this year is out, ur work speaks for itself!
Been subbed for about 3 years I'm glad I subbed love your stories
these are amazing i don't normally see world war stories a lot but these were very good
IMR just has the best content. Like it's so addictin to listen to
Though, like some other guy said, the story about the Siege of Leningrad was kinda tarnished when you gave the soldiers modern guns instead of WW2 era ones (like the M1891 Mosin Nagant or the SVT 40. You should have given the Soviet soldiers guns like that).
The uniforms are all wrong too.
This gives a new meaning to the horrors of war.

“You never told us a horror story.”
As if war wasn’t horrifying, already.
First story caught my attention before the actual horror, because I can only hear the grandpa starting by saying that he was evacuating a village while stationed in UTAH.
If I'm mishearing this, please let me know where he actual said he was stationed
Thats what i heard to. Ive replayed it over again. Yet no one here takes notice. To busy getting a vets are so brave hard on to realise there was no war like that in utah. People just want likes.

My dad was a commando back in the 1990s.He and his comrades camped in an abandoned hospital where injured WW2 soldiers were treated.A week in the hospital,my dad and his friend overheard some comrades talking about encounting spirits of WW2 soldiers, both of them didn't believe them until one night. While my dad and his friend were sleeping, his friend heard someone speaking in another language,he followed the voice and he saw someone standing at the dark corridor staring at him.My dad's friend ran back to his bed and just try to sleep. The next morning,he told my dad that the person at the dark corridor was wearing a Japanese army uniform and his holding a rifle. The hospital was open in 1935 and it is still around today.People have been breaking in for ghost hunting until it was closed in 1997 and became a restricted area and there are guards now patrolling.

You are very lucky, I'm from Brazil, I no longer have grandfathers or grandmothers, they all died of old age except my grandmother, she died of cancer, I didn't get to talk to them much, but years after my last Grandmother was gone and she was the only one I had the chance to talk to, 2 of my father's uncles fought in Italy during the Second World War, the stories of hauntings she told me were incredible, souls that don't accept their death, souls of horrible people, their stories were really scary, what was most incredible is knowing that they were all real events
