    I couldn’t thank you more, I self taught myself to crochet half a year ago and working my way up to more complicated projects. Every time when I see charts I have to skip because I was clueless. Thank you so much for all your great tutorials. Do you mind to share the chart links? Is it a Japanese chart? It looks simple and yet quite challenging for beginners chart reader.

    I like written pattern as well as charts. They compliment each other when one gets confusing. But charts are more clearly illustrated as to how many chains, stitches or where the next stitch should go. When a video tutorial or pattern doesn't give the beginning multiples to start with, I try to make my own chart and it helps a lot :) Thank you for your patience Miss Elena. More power to you :)

    Hi teacher Lenysea I'm so happy I stumble into your website . I know how to crochet by looking at finished garment but I have never learn how to read a pattern. I can understand a little of graph. I have seen a pattern I really love so far I was able to understand a few rows but I now came to row 8 and I read it over 7 time tried it out and does not look right will you please help me in plain English how these goes
    .ch3, 2dc in same dc,ch2 sk1, dc, *sk ch sp,cl in next dc,sk ch sp,dc in next dc, rep from * until 2dc rem ch 2.sk1, 3dcin last dc turn. Row 9: ch 3,2dcin the same dc,ch2 ski ,dc,* ch3, dc in next dc.ch3,scin ch sp of cl, rep from * on row 9 since i says skip one does it mean I enter the hook into the second dc of row 8? thanks so much for helping me. To read a crochet pattern is like reading Greek to me I'm a visual person I knit and crochet always by looking just as I assemble a bike or piece of furniture by seeing the shape to feed almost like a jigsaw puzzle. You are a great teacher just watch
    ing your video already help me a lot about symbol I'll check out all you video and subscribe. Again tthanks a lot.

    Thank you for this tutorial. I have been very nervous to follow a chart because I didn't know how to read it. I have one question, how can we tell if we crochet into a chain or around it like in a ch 3 space, for example? Thank you. I love all of your items and thank you for sharing your talent. You are so generous to share.

    How do you know how many chains you start with by looking at the chart? Thank you

  • @TheLorip
    @TheLorip 3 года назад

    it says to do those 7 double crochets in the 3 chains below it- but doesnt say how many in each of the three......do you just try to balance it between the 3?

    • @u.synlig
      @u.synlig Год назад

      I would wager that the intent is to put the 7 double crochets (side-by-side) into the “3-chain-space” - not inserting the hook into any one of the individual chains.
