Guys I just want to take the time to thank you for culling some of the adverts, thankyou for listening to your subscribers 1 set of adverts. Perfect. Keep the vids coming.
@@PerkinsBuilderBrothers for someone who has never done construction before, but wants to get into it. What would you recommend would be a good starting point?
I'm here! Happy Dads day folks! I was having a hypertensive day at 150/120 but with a few medications and your video, I now feel relaxed. Keep building!
Good content?!? What? Best I’ve watched since ‘ChrisFix’ and ‘ToyotaMaintenance’!! But then again - they are vehicle people and YOU my friend build homes (not houses but homes🥰) Can’t wait until the next episode 😉
I get your NOC references now! My husband and I have been in North Carolina for about a month visiting our daughter and her family. We stole away last week and we’re able to take a rafting trip with NOC. The western part of NC is beautiful and I was pleasantly surprised that the humidity was low.
Austin Your the Man!! Glad you made it& I am sure the brisket will be delicious!! What time is it served so Jennifur & I can be there too?? LOL Keep up the good work!
I have nothing to do with construction, yet you are the only channel I hope to find their video when I look for new videos. I think it is the urge to see a new house getting created out of an empty land. Keep up the good work!
You guys remind me of framing houses with my family. Dad and uncle were framers years ago and me, my brothers and cousins worked for them and we always had a great time. Those days are gone, though we’ve all stayed in the industry. Some project managers, some making cabinets, some selling lumber. But we all cut our teeth framing. Keep up the good work and if I ever move up y’all’s way I may inquire about a job. 😁. Happy Fathers Day!

“Since i hooked the tape on the stud before… i marked AHEAD on my layout.” Statements like this have my hitting pause and rewatching and LEARNING. Thank you.
This channel is so wholesome, wish I could build 5% of the stuff they do. It's so satisfying to watch something beautiful come into existence through labour and skill.
Best content on RUclips! I used to frame houses but have taken on new opportunities within the building material industry. These videos remind me of great memories working in the nice humid blue ridge mountains! Haha Thank you all for what you do and the fine detail you put into your work. It’s refreshing to know there are still builders out there like you guys! Have a great Father’s Day!
hi, I'm from Russia, I watch you often with a translator, you're cool!I myself am engaged in the construction of frame houses in Russia, I draw information from you!thank you so much for the content
Great job guys. I've been framing for 23 years and still learning. You guys do great work and and I learn a lot of tricks and short cuts from your videos Thanks Russell
Awesome to see how different this build is compared to the mega mansion you’re building now. 2 totally different ways of doing a floor system. It’s awesome.
Love watching your videos... I learn so much about building and you all are just good people! I have been on many construction sites and it is refreshing to see clean work done by those who care to do things right!
I agree! Live in a development where most of the houses are slapped up. Every once in a while another builder comes in (when the main builder is behind) and does one. The difference in the main builder and the back up builder is huge!! The back up builder actually follows all the safety stuff like strapping in through a patented metal support system they have. The scrap lumber is put in bins around the build. And at the end of every day, they go around and clean up. They have a small crew compared to the main builder, but they are faster at building-because the main builder usually has to take stuff apart and fix it😖 We were thrilled when we found out our house was done by the back up builder.
I really appreciate you guys making these videos. I know it's not easy! Our family is dreaming of building our own home and all of your content is so informative and helpful! Stay safe up there on top of the world! :)
Keep up the great work guys! I am so glad that I found this channel. My son works construction and I feel you guys can teach him a whoooooole lot!! God Bless ya.
Great video. Excellent framing lesson. I bought two pair of TruWerk pants. You guys are an improvement to any of those Home shows like this old house. And Hometime.
I friggin love the T25 head screws, I was helping my brother build some tables for his Eagle Scout project last month and he had nothing but phillips head screws, about 10 stripped screws in I went to Lowes and bought a ton of T25s. Not a one stripped after that.
Watching Eric walk the walls is just amazing. One wrong step though and......ouch. Y'alls attention to detail is what makes this channel so incredible.
If you frame long enough in combo with walking walls, beams, red iron, tops of concrete walls, plates, etc, you develop a certain walk that is noticeable from walking one foot in front of the other.
I have never built a 2-story frame house before. Thank you for the detailed Info. btw Son in Law is Travis with TCF Electric up in Cashiers, so glad you showed construction in that area
Man, where were these guys when I did my house in Bryson city? I had builders take deposits and not show, swipe material and disappear and do work that the inspector laughed at. I literally paid a roofer, and carpenter crew to come down from Michigan to complete my job! Outstanding work gentleman….
You guys are great.. havent done any framing since '08.. did it 1990 to '08.. looking for a piece of property now to build my own house.. so many little details I had for gotten.. Thanks Of course I don't think I was trained as well.. doing nothing but tract housing.
Very interesting. I'm being trained as a carpenter (educated as a mechanic/welder). We're working on a house right now at the same stage as this, located on premium land next to a big lake in Norway. I really love how you get more into the nittygritty stuff of building things with understanding, knowledge and good practice. When you are plumbing the corners on the outside walls, what kind of tolerances do you shoot for? What are the tolerances you shoot for diagonally for the floors?
