  • How to adjust the display on a Ninja 500 SE. And how to adjust the shift light indicator. The SE has the TFT display, so I'm not sure if this is the same on a non-SE.

What are the functions of "bluetooth connectivity"?
I don't quite understand what it is for, does it show google maps on the screen or what can be done?

It doesn’t appear to do much while riding. Like you I had hoped that it would allow navigation on the tft screen, but it doesn’t. So it is a bit disappointing.
All it seems to do while riding is light up an icon on the screen if you get a call, text, and/or email. So not very useful.
Off the bike, after the ride there are a couple of semi useful features. You can review certain aspects of your ride. And it will alert you to upcoming maintenance and other service issues. So mildly useful.
The app gets less than 2* in the google store, and the reviews are not good.
It doesn’t seem well thought out.

Hi. Do you remember what your engine speed was when you got it. I think mine is to high because the shift lamp doesn’t go off. Thank you.

When I 1st picked it up at the dealership the shift light was set for 4000 rpm.

@@curtiswalker3683 no problem. That 4k recommended rpm for the 1st 150ish miles is challenging since it limits you to about 44/45 mph. After that Kawasaki recommends a 6k rpm limit for the next 100 miles. That slightly higher limit opens up a lot more use ability. I’ve had my 1st 600 mile service, so I can now rev it however I want.
It was difficult, but I tried to break it in according to the manual since I plan to keep this bike for a long time.

@@Christopher-fs3dq thank you. I don’t know if it reaches 45. I can get to 6th and I will look next time.
