- The day has FINALLY arrived!!! After 10 months of delays due to COVID and Australia's strict biosecurity laws, it is finally time to get my dog and best friend Occy home from Canada to Australia! Join me as we reunite ❤️

I have been finding you max and OCCY. I did see Lee with eamon and bec and see a dog like occy there and then visited max and lee and its a different guy now that is in there. Cheers man. Life must go on. Your best buddy is with you. I have been following max and lee before because of OCCY. Dog lover here.

He is chubby because Lee fed him and loved him. He was well taken care of.
He has also been in a pen/cage for awhile. My dog showed the effects of inactivity while he was recovering from an ACC injury. The extra weight came off quickly when he was allowed to run around again.
@@eileenmccarthy7392 Yeah, it’s not a sign of being well cared for, it’s inactivity. I’m sure Lee wouldn’t over feed him while in her care. She would know it was unhealthy for him.
As an Aussie owner also, I can tell he's got his Canadian coat and you'll see practically another dogs worth of undercoat fur coming off him in the next few months......

Max never said Lee had not been taking good care of Occy, he has always praised Lee for the taking such good care of Occy so please don’t read into things that haven’t even been said, Max is respectful, kind with a gentle nature I can’t see him being the kind of person that makes digs at his ex and I’m sure I’m not alone in that view

@@MaxandOccy When Max jumped in your new van a few hours ago i think he thought Lee was there as well, like shared custody when he was in CANADA no matter what she loved him and took the best care of Max as did HER family, he loved it there he was mesmerized by the SNOW thought he was a Husky, He has had the best of both Worlds, again so happy for you

Lee did take great care of him, my heart is so happy for Max and so sad for Lee. Occy is truly lucky to have had all the journey's he has had and all the love thats been poured onto him, it shows! He is pure joy!

I took my dog with me for 10 years except only one night and that because I didn’t know the Hilton Hotel accepted dogs. I miss him. Seeing you with Occy, I can appreciate how you feel

I can’t imagine 1 day without my fluffy boy Labradoodle Tofu. I’m too a vegan. Tofu is my other 1/2. What a happy reunion. He misses dad so much & his nest on wheels
Just watched this today 20/03/24, cried the moment you started to tell us you were picking up Occy, brought back memories of my dog being shipped overseas. biggest of hugs.
I was crying before you even got there.
Occy understood the van but it definitely registered that it was different. Then he just kept staring at you like he couldn’t believe it was you and real. No, he doesn’t miss a beat but he was definitely in shock that it was you.

Max What a happy day, been following you forever. My best Bud a male German Shepherd passed away back June, but I found another 12 month old Shepherd that
needed a new home as bad as I needed a new friend. So we begin a new life journal together.
I started watching your channel when your life hit the fan. And your not having Occy, I couldn't even imagine. And then in July and August I lost both of my two dachshunds to old age. 3 weeks apart. It has been devastating. Being alone, without anyone here with me, especially my boys now has been a really big adjustment. To see you two reunited has truly warmed my heart. Give Occy some extra loves from those of us who lost our fur-babies. I am sure Lee is missing him too now. Enjoy your time together.

I finally understood why you were alone these days. It was because of COVID. I didn't know it because my English was poor. I’m really happy this reunion. Love, from Japan.
Dogs can really change your life. I was depressed after my father,s death then one day we bought a labrador puppy home and named him Oskar.He not only help me and my family to fight depression but now today is also a reason for our daily smiles.
Occy has a heart of gold, and such a chill dog!
When times get tough, people bail, but not Occy!

Lee is incredible
It takes a special kinda person to be able to care for your "Ex's" dog, however I feel like this was just as hard for Lee to have to say good bye to Occy. She's spent several yrs with him as well. A part of Lee's heart will always be with Occy and vice versa for him..
@@michellebenfield9953 Yes of course, she cares about Occy a lot, I just meant that ex's are not always on good terms but in this case Occy was a "shared" dog for a long time so a bond is very obvious

That’s a long time to wait and so glad you have your best friend back! Today am waiting for Vet to call regarding blood work for Noodle (cat), she says he’s in kidney failure. He & I were moving across country. That would have been the third state he had lived in. Give Occy a belly rub for me.

Australian Shepherds are the greatest dog breed ever. I've had 2 of them. I won't own another breed. They all have similar traits. My Aussie Shepherd is my therapist

There were a few times I felt afraid that this reunion might not happen, bcz of all of the uncertainty in the world. This reunion and the video, as you always have been able to do, has spread joy and hope to thousands of people you have never met. I am so grateful for your heart and willingness to share it, and your life, with all of us. Thank you Max!
And as you know more than most Rixanne, this reunion almost didn’t happen. I am just so happy things have finally worked out and that I was able to share the joy with you all. We all know there hasn’t been enough good news stories this year.

Can’t stop smiling!! Definitely know a bit of what you went thru apart - I was in hospital for 4 months, apart from my beautiful black Labrador - when I got home I am bedridden 24/7 now but she’s learnt how to jump from my chair to my hospital bed I have at home so we can still snuggle and I have missed that so much

I know that feel My cat Boobear was a kitten at the time and I was in the hospital for a bit I thought he was going to forget about me so I begged and begged my husband to bring him in for visit bc he was super small and slept most the time! I mean i pulled out the punches Boo was 6 weeks old and I was like he wont remember i am mommy lol. Andrew (hubby) bless his heart brought him in for the remaining time and it lifts your spirits and he took him home after I slept for the night. When I finally left Bc I had a private room the doc and nurse said they knew but Boo made my spirits better and in hosp thats important!❤🐾🐾❤
I lost my little girl, Missi, three months ago. She was 13-1/2 and my love. Your videos with Occy have brought me laughter and tears. I can’t imagine how you bared being without him, separated by seas and during a pandemic, for so long. Your reunion was priceless. Your love for one another will transcend future departures. Brings back memories of bringing my kelpie Hinto back to Canada from Perth. I had to leave him with my then boyfriend for about a month. I was in New mexico and he was flying into LA where I'd pick him up and continue onto Canada. Two hours out of Albuquerque my car died and I was stuck on the highway. It took hours to get back to the city and get a rental car which meant i had 12 hrs to complete the 12 hr drive through the night and be at the airport, with no time to rest. Oh, and I hit LA at morning rush hour and had to cross the city. None of that mattered when they brought the kennel out and I got to see my best friend.

This is soo cool. I had a stint nursing in Aussie for a while, leaving my border collie at home in New Zealand and I was away from josh for 8 months, I missed him so much and my reunion was going to be at the airport the night I got home, he was to be waiting in the car at the airport for when I got off the plane. I was so excited to see him and as soon as I came through the arrivals I said to my b friend is josh in the car, did you bring him and the look in his eyes I will never forget. My heart sunk, his said he’s not here, he is dead, I am so sorry. I collapsed. Josh had unfortunately died that morning, he had put his paws up on the gate and somehow got his collar caught in the gate, freaking out he panicked and flipped himself in a circle, strangling himself. My heart broke…. So it warms my heart to see this beautiful reunion. RIP joshy I love you boy x ❤

I'm hugging my Aussies, watching the reunion with tears of happiness pouring out of my eyes. This has been a tough year and if I didn't have my fur babies I don't think I would have made it. Occy is my favorite traveling dog. I know that Lee will miss him but I'm so happy that Max is not alone anymore.
So sweet that even the quarantine staff loved Occy, shows what a great dog he is. Worth every penny spent to get him home.

I know how much our fur babies mean to us. My sweet girl Karma passed away this summer just short of 11years old. I’m still heartbroken 💔. Good point. Though I did notice a time or two when my screen jumped and I missed the like button, caught and corrected it. One can only think that it is was because they wanted Lee to keep the dog. But, it was not her dog. It is a pity she did not have one of her own....taking care of another being matters. Safe travels to these two. RIP to Lee. Condolences to Lee’s family and friends, and especially to Max and Occy.
