I am from Nova Scotia and while backpacking through Europe, and spending a few months with my brother in Prague I went off to travel solo fro. Prague, Sofia, Budapest, Istanbul, Greek islands, italy, Germany.........when in Greece one morning at 6:00 am I met a guy, an American guy while waiting for the ferry from the Greek island of Samos to go to Paros. He is a Texan from San Antonio. He was spending the summer visiting his brother in Istanbul. He came up and introduced himself to me and we started talking.....we talked for hours and got off the ferry together and spent the next few days traveling around Paros. Well.... that was 1993 and it’s now 2019 and we ha e been married for 25 years....have two beautiful daughters and have lived in Seattle, Wyoming, Maine, back to Seattle then to where we now live in Texas......amazing stories do still happen!

I felt so bad for Occy at the beginning but thankful he was with Lee’s loving family. It’s always so hard to leave one’s dog even for one night. If only there was a way they could understand we will return shortly! 🐶💕 Thanks so much for all you share - I feel like I am travelling vicariously through the three of you. 🙏🦋
Aw yes, we wish dogs could understand. We have been given many updates of Occy happily frolicking in the snow 💜🤗🤪 Thanks for coming along on this wild ride with us ✨
Max & Lee So nice to know Occy is enjoying winter in Barrie. We lived there for close to 10 years before moving down to Burlington. It is surreal to see some of your footage from around Kempenfelt Bay, as well as the parking lot of the Zehrs where we used to get groceries! Wishing you continued safe and fulfilling travels. 🙏🦋😊🐶💕

I was in the same spot a few years ago but in New Zealand. Customs at the airport hadnt told me i wouldnt be getting on the plane. Instead they waited till we were boarding, pulled me out of the line and thats when I found out. I was crying hysterically because I was without a doubt going to miss my grandmas funeral. You guys are incredible! Thank you for sharing your journey and stories with us!!
HECTOR ALEJANDRO GUERRERO🎥 Aww thank you!!
Have to admit that was WONDERFUL! Kind of reminded me of the "Amazing Race!" on CBS! So wonderful to see all your family surprised! Just so wonderful to see that the entire family come together with the birth of a new family member! Have a GREAT TIME DOWN UNDER!
Just watched this the first time and balled my eyes out. Max brother reaction just made me cry. So sad Lee is not here to see baby growing up. I also believe Lee would love the place where Max and Occy lives now. 😢❤RIP lovely girl.
This was an amazing adventure for them!! And I’m glad for them to see their family!!!
Love this!! I think you got the response you wanted. So glad you were able to go.
Well you made me cry Australia was my home fore many many years, and I haven’t seen my family for a 11 years and two of my grandchildren 30 years,Australia is very big now it’s covid 19 and I lost my hopes to get on a plane, about your lovely Dog,it’s good to know that there’s good people like you knowing that Dogs suffer for the absent “mummy and daddy “I am sure you give her many cuddles when you went back home.....❤️
What a beautiful surprise. Love how you talk about paying it forward. God bless you guys & your family.
I don’t even know y’all but you guys have me in tears. :) Absolutely beautiful reunion. Family is so special. I’m happy for all of you. Good job for making that happen.
This makes me so sad especially seeing Max's recent post on IG. I don't know you personally, but through the years, I've always enjoyed tagging along with you on your adventures. And even when you led different paths, I continued to watch you on your respective platforms, at times seeing Lee on Eamon and Bec's. To Max, I am praying for you and your families for stength. Rest easy, Lee. 🤍🤍🤍
Happy New Year! What an amazing surprise for Max's family and how lucky that everything worked out well with the visas! And I love how you went from the middle of winter in Canada to the middle of summer in Australia!
Anne Elizabeth we can’t believe how well it worked out! It was honestly a little stressful keeping the secret but as we have said, oh so worth it!
And yep, it is blooooody hot here hahaha
God bless you two. What joy you brought onto everyone's face.
RIP Lee. May you rest in peace xx

They go out of their way to see their loved ones and the airport people are great for helping them out that's a gift.
Just clicked on just to have a look, Wow, God bless you guys for doing this. My only one wish if my 2 daughters would surprise me like that after not seeing them for over 10 years. All the best to you two and ALL your family and the new born bubs. Cheers Teddy

You guys are the best. Your videos brighten all of our days and we are so grateful!
Thank you for your lovely comment, Ally. It was the most beautiful, incredible surprise!
I have joined them in peru for a couple of weeks (what an adventure!) and am so proud of Max and Lee. They are genuinely lovely people.
Jane (max's mum) x
You both should be very proud of yourself's for being so thoughtful. Thoroughly enjoyed your video and thank you for sharing your experience.
Thank you Steve!
You two are very lucky its nice to see they were compassionate about it. Beautiful video too.
Everything in this video is awesome. Reunion, background music, cinematography, editing, story telling.
A beautiful start to my Sunday. Thank you for sharing your journey. Those poor pups 😭😭😭
HECTOR ALEJANDRO GUERRERO🎥 Our pleasure mate! And don’t worry, Occy is having some wonderful chill time with his grandparents!
Max's hair is just fire... dem locks!
Christopher Sturm you just made Max's day 😂
Just found your channel and what a great video to watch first! I grew up in Forster NSW, so close to Newcastle! I just spent 9 years living close to family again but have returned with my husband and children to remote far north QLD. Will now be back to only seeing family every 1-2 years. It’s hard but we love our life! All the best!
Sandy R wow so glad you found us Sandy!! Hope you aren’t copping too much rain up there atm!

RJ was a little trooper, such a good baby!! Happy New year Lisa! Can't wait to share Australia with you 🤗
The best part of the vlog is the beautiful shot...right at the end...of the baby sleeping on Max. So cute.
