Nade really has become some dude. What a transition from an anxious teenager man. Wow. It really is inspiring.
Bro he scammed nicmerks like this but I do think he evolved it a better person but it's crazy to hear him say this
@@aeonnegative212 not even close to what happened... he told nic a number that he was gonna be able to give him, but he was unable to do that for multiple reasons. Nades fault 100%, he offered nic too much
i remember him playing bo2 and scump and him him in there 20s
Did he not promised nic shares in the org don’t think it was about money at all nick wanted shares in ownership
@@giovannidesantiago2151 it’s not even like that apparently lol. Supposedly nade offered x amount of shares for y amount of money, and when it came time to give it to him he gave him the same amount of money and shares but at that point the percentage was diluted bc of extra investors
This happened to Optic but on a smaller scale and Optic got lucky that were able to regain control under hecz
Exactly!
& now it merge with Envy esports is wildddddddddd
Chicago Huntsmen
Batchest Shivers
bc the media drama wasn’t as bad optic always been smaller on the social scale
And although things went bad - Hecz still looked after his talent, the culture he created and still maintains within Optic is a thing of beauty
It's good to know that Nadeshot understands very well different perspectives of the whole situation. As a Business man, Gamer and fan, because not many out there understand the Business perspective at all. Very educated Nadeshot has become and matured. If the original Faze Owners understood all of this back then like Nadeshot does. None of this would of happen in the first place. Investors will always look into their best interest first. ORGs need them, but have to know how to make deals that benefit the owners of the brand and not lose control
Nadeshot made the exact same mistake with investors. Promising Nick Mercs a percentage and then couldn't offer it as he made a mistake with investors.
Difference is, Faze is complaining about Stocks, not percentages in the company.
Aswell as the overall running of the organisation.
Comparing 100 Thieves and what Faze was is a weird comparison to be honest mate.
As a business man myself. They're two completely different models, and pretty uncompareable in their situations of negativity.
Nick isn't a suck up unfortunately. Nade broke the promise and Nick is a real dude.
He didn't appreciate the promise being broken and walked. It's 100 Thieves loss, Nick is a Streaming god now to be fair to himself.
i mean all that you said was nice and all but the biggest problem is that an 18 year old wont have the knowledge of the 30 year old
@@zezanje1 Complrtely Irrelivant
Faze moving to LA was the biggest mistake. Most of the faze founders like Rain and Banks, got caught up in the crazy LA lifestyle. Someone had to run the company while they were out partying. Now they are crying that they don't like the direction Faze went.
It wasn’t that they were partying and someone had to run the company. It’s the fact they went public and had to get a board of directors. They were young and dumb. They went public and pretty much lost the control of the company.
@@noodle9851 La Faze is the reason why they area at where they're at. They saw money and got greedy, now they gotta reap what they have sowed...
LA sucks
happens to all youtubers ive seen that I've watched since I was 12/13. they become big on youtube then start acting like celebrities, and forget they're literally just youtubers and cannot gain any kind of success they had from youtube without the platform, fall out of love with video games and people just watch their shite content for nostalgic effect
You don’t know what you’re talking about you’re just making assumptions bozo
Im 25 and grew up watching faze , still have love for all the guys and the OG New York house members
After growing up watching nade compete, he really is an incredible person now. The way he talks, the way he thinks about situations it’s amazing.
Every org needs an owner like Nadeshot. This is the example that many other orgs should follow in the future.
@@pixelsyndicate wdym 100t is one of the only profitable esports orgs
I'm 24, almost 25. I grew up watching faze, optic, envy etc. Personally, I agree that there is two sides to every story. Faze clan, the 5 owners, sought out additional investment aka capital, in order to expand. Sure that gives up creative control, management etc. It is important to note that, up until this point, they solely dealt with sponsors, that more or less were at their beg and call, due to their outreach. Some examples include g-fuel, csgo 3rd party skin websites etc. These businesses needed their outreach in order to succeed; thus, treating them more so as parteners, as opposited to equals. Giving them a positive view towards businessmen(big mistake), which is something they never should have had. True businessmen are solely out for themselves and their shareholders. Imo the "suits," that joined the organization, have taken more control than they should have ever been allotted, in terms of ownership(thus, control) they entered business negotiations at 18-20 with minimal(positive) experience and got screwed by it. It sucks but, that's what happens when you allow the business world to enter your domain. I, basically, see their current actions as a way to possibly recieve the acknowledgement they truly deserve. Or maybe, if they're smart enough, drop the stock low enough, so they can regain majority ownership(via share repurchase), giving them final say once again. However, that ship has most likely sailed(since they became public). It's ease to say what you've said in your disposition(retained ownership of your org, after optic) but, imo, their nativity was taken advantage of; but, you have to live with it and move on. Those final comments, aren't a knock against you, just a unbaised perspective based comment.
Agreed.. In going public they’ve just been making some shit moves imo, I mentioned this in a comment above but they signed Snoop Dogg, paid what at least $2 million for him, and for what? So they can say Snoop Dog’s in the house and he can wear a little Faze chain that most ppl didn’t even notice at the SuperBowl? I’m sorry but to me that is a shit investment, they paid that much money for a cool moment and that’s it, ppl have long forgot about that shit.. As you said they need to figure out a way to get the majority shares back and get the out of touch ppl out of power, if they want to “connect to Gen Z” like this CEO is constantly saying, start a new Faze house with new, young guys that can connect with them, just as the original Faze guys connected with us.. Start pumping money into the heart of the company and forget about the Snoop Doggy Dog’s and other shit.. That’s where they’ll get an actual return on their investment
To make that statement correct u would have to be more like 35ish
@@SkinnyVinnie what are you talking about? Faze was created about 12 years ago, I would have been 12-13 years old
Dork
You think Teeqo and Rain should short $FAZE? That would actually be funny af if they shorted FAZE into the ground and got them delisted.
“The tides raise all ships” might be one of the best quotes I have ever heard, especially relating it to esports because of how the scene is struggling
They are not clans anymore, they are businesses and the only thing that matters is money. Sad to see it all end.
Unfortunately, that's what eventually happens with all startups under Capitalism, when the motive is solely to make a profit.
I swear a couple years ago when bo2 was a thing FaZe vs OpTic was a thing, the good times
That's was over 10 years man 😆

@@bajablaster1 I’m 24 and grew up on the whole FaZe vs Optic or Halo vs CoD days lol.
when they first moved out of new york that was the biggest mistake they couldve made. Honestly the first LA house wasnt bad but after 2017 it went super downhill its so sad :(
This is very well spoken. This mindset is why he is so successful
man teeqo was so loyal. bro took the biggest hit for that Save The Kids scandal, and now we find out he was getting scammed by faze too. he waited a long time to try and improve things before going public.
And now we all ultimately know with context that they were all only ever even trying to do that shit because they weren’t getting enough back from their actual work
Like I said, I was in 6th grade early august 2015 and FaZe clan was booming they were the talk of everything
Faze was already booming way before that pal 😅
One big thing he left out of the Faze recognition is that of those 7-8 out of 10 (if they’re neutral people with no fandom to the people in Faze) it’s almost guaranteed that all of them know them more for the scams, drama or the whole stock thing rather than the actual creators or teams
Nadeshot has that cool uncle vibe you wanna go camping with 😂
Nadeshot is taking about business. Not talking about gaming itself
This definitely hits home for Nade after the Nick situation. He lost a friend and got shit on by a lot of people cos of what happened. He got investors in to take 100T to the next level and they collectively wanted Nick’s shares and forced him out. The business part of life is full of vultures and it ain’t nice.
That wasn't it. Nick thought he deserved to become an owner after only one year in 100T. It took Rae and Courage 3 years to get that privilage.
@@Zedja Yeah but Nade promised Nick before he joined 100T he would be an owner.
@@rileybrown8397 Not within a year. But Nick threw a temper tantrum, just like a baby, because it didn't happen fast enough.
@Zedja oh I get it now, you just don't like Nick, has nothing to do with Nade or 100T
@@rileybrown8397 As I said, Nick threw a hizzy fit when he had only been in the organisation for one year. It took 3 years for Courage and Rae and they didn't have any problems with that.
It has nothing to do with me and what I think of Nick. But since you brought it up, this exact moment is when I started thinking less of him.
You on the other hand is clearly a Nick stan, so this discussion is over, as I don't want to discuss with someone supporting a massive asshole and a bully.
FaZe should have never gone public, FaZe content and eSports should be separate. The whole company / team is having and has been having an identity crisis for a long time.
Nade always keeping it real bro, i love this man
This was the perfect video for this situation. Perfectly spoken by Nade
As far as the future of teams finding investors & what not, I can see the negative side for the future of gaming and esports. On the other hand, it's a good pivoting point for creators or any business' with faces that carry the brand. If it continues down this road for faze, it stands the point that this scene isn't one you can just come into as an investor/ buyer and drop/mistreat those who have built it without any repercussions. It'd be like someone coming into 100t with money to gain power of the brand and ranking nadeshot low into the business. The faze situation can be a standing ground that creators and founders have much more power than any percent of the business you own. That the hype of the brand is nothing without these original guys that made it what it is. A standing ground to any creators including yourself that someone with money can't buy or take away what you've earned and built.
For the most part the money might be there to invest but time over time its been proven E-sports is not a money maker. Egos got so inflated that they thought everyone everywhere was going to buy into them. It didnt happen. Same thing with that time Ninja was on live TV the majority of people didnt know who he was. Nor care to. The money is there with streaming like RUclips not selling 5 dollar waterbottles for 45.
this why this mf a great ceo and businessman.. can see all perspectives and has lived through what each side is preaching.
10 years ago we all used to hop on the mic after school and call it FaZe training day or OpTic training day. Huge huge reach from both brands

Lol good business response on Nadeshots part
And from someone who has followed all of this since 09'. Nadeshot hit it on the target. It truly is business and as much as you want to be mad at the investors. It is the seller's fault. Tough.
Great video!
He ain't wrong, a lot of kids don't know the old orgs or big orgs from other games like LoL/Dota/etc. But most people def recognize FaZe even more so than OpTic most of the time; crazy to see all this going on with them.
Weird hearing him talk about another org about a situation like this when he and nick beef
When Nade speaks, we listen
What team is nade on ???
Really made sense out of everything
At this point Faze should do a FaZe x McDonalds partnership just in case things go more south to secure employment
The thing is lmao they already did one in 2021 🤣🤣
you have to be somewhat qualified to work at McDonalds!
Nadeshot the definition of starting from the bottom at McDonald’s to being his own boss.
Faze and Optic started it all in my eyes
Nade's growth is grazy
nade a real one
Should never have moved the FaZe house to LA. The first LA house was ok, but after that it was horrendous.
In my opinion, the core members of FaZe got caught in that messy LA culture that changes people in a bad way.
Anybody know which JBL headphones nade rocking? They look 🔥
Faze tried to rush the end game that’s where the fucked up. I honestly feel like tried to play catch up to Optic and Nv in a business stand point. They needed to take more time to fully understand the business end of things before bringing in people not a part of the industry to run it for them.
True
This funny coming from the dude that snaked Nickmercs out of his stock in 100T😂
But he is right though $FAZE decided to go public it’s not there company anymore if they didn’t want anyone else having creative control they probably shouldn’t have been at the NYSE taking pics excited about the IPO
@@DarthChewy927 I didn’t say he was wrong. I like Nade, I just thought him speaking on this was funny considering the Nickmercs situation

@@hey2556 yeah can be - don’t know him personally but his comments are always thought trough and he is aware of the struggle organisations have
nadeshot one of the realist in the gaming community
I think with what you are mentioning at the end about you seeing the back end of the business is exactly what nordan and teeqo are talking about though, because you KNOW the culture which makes your decision making on what happens with the company more likely to allign with that culture that actually cares about the brand and most of these OGs on the scene from faze that were integral in creating this culture don't have any say in what they are doing now. I understand that you obviously aren't the sole decision maker but that is just how i think about it, sucks that this went down like this for the OGs
Damn Nade really sunk his teeth into that industry. He was just Cod talent, uploading odd games on RUclips.
Very True Nade
The only thing that nadeshot said here that was incorrect is that he thinks it’s far and few between the people who want to come in to esports and line their pockets. The majority of people that come in to esports have no intentions of pushing it forward, only making as much money as possible before they leave. That’s why the majority of these organizations fail and the ones that are more successful coincidentally are the ones that are ran by people who have been here for 20 years and are invested in the growth of the industry
FaZe story is like NWA story.
Honestly, and nowadays for sure, should go after investors/businessmen that you can trust. Someone like David Portnoy, Connor McGregor, a musician. Someone with the money and semi interest in investing in a gaming organization that would leave those ogs in the loop of things.
🔥
My question is how will this impact their esports teams. Will people leave or not want to join?
Seeing the stock market of faze being really bad makes investors think twice before investing in teams like 100t or any other org thus hurting the community of gaming as a whole.
I doubt that, as long as they get paid loads they will stay
@@Inweezy that’s why I was wondering. Their stock is crazy low at the moment. I’m also interested to see if at the end of the year someone buys put the LAG spot or if we have one less team
Nothing but FACTS
and kay just confirmed some of those faze corp people moved on to 100T lol
Was beyond clear beforehand that it was the worst time possible to go public w a SPAC. They clearly didn’t care, must’ve been ppl in control who just wanted to cash out that bag
this what i was saying growing up with FaZe and Optic see the OG's feeling like they don't belong in what they created the culture is gone the Suits came in and they want that cash
I just bought into their stock since it's dirt cheap. Let it sit and come back up years later
100p Nade damn.. the honesty within a line to not be twisted into oblivion.. cldnt have said it better.. starting this pre demic.. wlda been a win but dropping into public the tail end a yr later, to now at how fast time can work atleast those that use time as the #1 measure..
Good stuff man worked between them lines.
Commas ik..
I started during and stopped watch shit over almost yr ago. Not hip like most. To take that time then reconvene to this drama from the algy sheesh. On point
why does it feel like im listening to jj reddick
Spac plays were pretty much dead when they tried it , sucks for them but I changed my life financially shorting their stock
The irony of Faze OGs being upset about change
I almost feel like the whole Faze situation is similar to the Smosh situation where they let this company come in and help them out and they lied about everything and they all became employees of something they should’ve owned
OpTic is the most prestigious team out there, there’s a legacy to it, but FaZe is still the most recognizable. They had everyone doing the FaZeUp sign, drawing the faze logo, everyone wanted to be in FaZe. I hope what I said makes sense lol.
Pretty solid
Optic isn’t that prestigious outside of cod
I support optic in cod but optic is pretty much only known in cod
Once they hit newport it was over dawg.
honestly bro. Fuck the money. Gaming is and WAS not about money. Y’all making these teams into a actual business, playing for MONEY. Recruiting the best players for MONEY. I’ve watched kids literally not sleep for 3 nights going for FaZe 5. The amount of passion back then was unreal. Now it just feels like a Nike logo with no meaning behind it
Nah your right homiie, growing up it was FaZe and Optic
When faze house new york was no more, that was when faze died😔
yup, even when they were in newport i stopped watching pretty quick lol
Faze was the clan to be in for years when it comes to call of duty franchise, meaning "mom I made it" . But there journey is a modern day Julius Caesars ending from looking at the situation on the market ect. #kewk

Didn’t this happen to optic and hecz
Sounds like the fb movie
This actually somewhat reminds me of Optic
FaZe is way worse than OpTic imo
Was a perfect team but the money and websites got to their heads and obviously being young and in cali it would be hard to steer clear of that life style
I think Nade is seeing that 100T is where Faze was not long ago, and he's starting to feel the pressure to not end up the same way. Not necessarily anything they're doing wrong, but it's a reality check on the true viability of an Esports org as a business. Look at the sponsors 100T has recently lost, look at the plummet of Faze...its a slippery slope when there is no clear path to positive reveune.
Which sponsors did 100T lose??
@@alexmyers3000 CashAPP, for one
Seems to me like he’s under zero pressure at all lmao.
Difference is they lost some of the sponsors because they are developing products by themselves like highground and juvee which seems to be more reliable in the long run as sponsors can pull out. The only bad sponsor decision they made is cashapp where they were initially going to get a ?crypto but ended up bailing out. Otherwise, sponsors don't really matter if you earn the money with your own products since there will be a clash in product eventually
Nade has officially gone Hollywood
that happened years ago
The slow burn of FaZe began when they moved out of the NY House…
Seems more apparent than ever that being a content creator and or Esports pro player is not as glamorous as it seemed to be in the past. All these creators and players coming out recently sheds light on the fact that maybe chasing these career paths are not the best idea. I’ll stick to my college education for a career path lmao
Honestly , people should just bring the price of the stock to 0.01 maybe faze will finally get the message to go private again and get the big wigs out of there company
See Nadeshot gets it, but I think they didn’t expect to “work” so they got some business people to do it for them which ultimately didn’t work out for them.
common Nadeshot W
Why is he talking like he didn’t do nick dirty 😂😂😂
Multiple ppl have all said nade didn’t do him dirty and if he did why has nick never been able to provide and proof ? Cause if someone owes u 5% of a $600m company I would want that unless nicks just lying 😂
Nade did not do him dirty, Nade came to him like a man and told him he could not offer him that big of a percentage of the company and still acquire the big investors he has today that made 100 thieves so successful. Nick wasnt try to hear that and got pissed. It worked out for both of them.
Kids who believe that a streamer wouldnt sue for 5% of 100T if he actually had a valid claim to it gotta be under like 15 years old.
They tried to be "corporate" and the new ownership has failed miserably. This company was once valued at hundreds of millions of dollars, and now they are on the verge of being delisted by NASDAQ, their market valuation is at $25 million, and investors are LOSING money. Also, you hear from the OG's, and yet the Swaggs and Nick Mercs of the world stay silent on this.

They tried becoming more than an esports brand. They rushed into it with nothing to really build on yet. Yes they’re popular but not big enough to be a huge business they shot for. They’re also shady and lazy. It all came back to bite them really bad.
I wanna hear Dougs opinion on this. He's been there since NY, people just forget because he didn't live in the house with the boys
Censor? He hasn't been Faze in years. He's been on like 5 different teams.
Here's what Doug said on Twitter.
"I am forever grateful for the NY FaZe house and to just be able to see the way everyone worked, to see them have a vision and execute, and to follow their lead. If the OG NY boys sat down and made decisions for FaZe, I’m sure the brand will be where it should be.To see Teeqo and Rain speak publicly about FaZe tells me a lot. The brand FaZe is largely where it’s at today because of Nordan in my opinion. He literally micro managed everybody’s content while triple uploading for years. Nordan set the standard for every creator in the brand.I left FaZe because the old CEO promised me to be captain of FaZe and never delivered. My dream is to win in gaming, not be a full-time lifestyle creator. That wound never healed, just a permanent scar. Still love all the OGs though."

The problem is people forgot that faze started as a gaming group, the original group of people dont even game anymore let alone make youtube videos. Isnt that wat faze is about? Making gaming content? Or did everybody forget that or something.
I feel like Nade is overlooking the fact FaZe's financials were in the shitter before they went public. FaZe's performance on the market is exactly what I expected. They're a poorly run org that is embarrassing the rest of eSports when it comes to their business model and how they're running it.
