The fact is that Venezuela went from alternating with El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras as one of the most dangerous countries in the world to the 22 spot of murders per 100k, which is how you measure crime. I teach in Petare, and I walk the streets of El Silencio regularly, and I live in Sebucán, and I can assure you that the country has made a 180 degree change for the better. Visit Venezuela, where you will find hard working and friendliest people in the world.
After the behavior of the US and EU against Venezuela, this country should be the one fearing people from those latitudes. The best tourist in venezuela are the same venezuelans.
Horrible take. Look at what the government in Venezuela has been doing for the last 10 years and why the country went south, got dangerous and drove millions and millions of citizens to other countries. It didn’t get sanctioned just for fun.
Hi Roger, you talked in your video about taking much cash money because it’s not possible to get money from the bank. Can you explain this a little more, because if that’s true, I think that is a big reason not to go as a tourist. Because when that’s common everybody who has bad intention knows.
I have to call you out on one thing. You mention that you have to watch out like in any country. You are not the only one to say that, but I think it is false. Here in Canada, you can walk anywhere, even the worst section of a city, and not worry about safety. I was just in Korea and Japan, and I was able to wander at 2am in any neighbourhood. There just is no safety issues. So saying you need to watch out like any place is not true. There are plenty of places where safety is not even something to think about. Also, can you speak to the issue that you have to worry about the police in Venezuela? People are often detained by police for no reason and have to pay them to get free. The fact that you can't trust the police is a bigger issue than there being high crime. I know of a person that was stuck at the Caracas airport for days, because the army or passport control made him get money wired from his country to Venezuela to pay them. They wouldn't let him go until he did.
No police man are going to atop you and ask for money if they know, and obviously will, that you’re tourist. The safety issue in Venezuela is the same than any latin american country, can’t compare Venezuela, Colombia or Perú with Canadá or Japan. One thing, I just went to Barcelona Spain 1 month ago and got robbed by a pickpocket. That never happened to me in Venezuela so far 😣

I cannot get over your thick Dutch accent, but love watching ur videos haha
What a good old guy at the end
Things are way better back home in Venezuela than in the USA for me… I’m so happy to be back in my homeland where I belong.
Look at it this way, about ten years ago there were around 200 murders on a busy weekend in Caracas.....it was a crazy place but also a lot of fun if you knew how to stay safe... ..
Jesus loves you
So does the devil, we have be seen now to be a totally inclusive society not to offend anyone 😊
Watching from Indonesia 🇮🇩
I trust the locals you interviewed. They said it’s not safe and not a good situation. Sure you, a European man, go there and have a great time and then report how safe it is and go back home.
Si es seguro 🙄
I left the country 37 years ego, I'm 70 years old, I was watching this video, I had a hard time to recognize Sabana Grande. I'm surprise how the traffic became light. no cars ! I guess is good for the environment. The last time I was there was 16 years ego, traffic was terrible anyhow I used it, but the personal security very bad. Anyhow I have a motto : I don't believe everything that I read and I believe half what I see in videos.
Good luck to the tourist that like extremes sport.
Have a nice day
Most of the population has left. I know a woman from there. She still lives there. She showed me pictures of the streets in Coro this last Christmas. It looked like a gost town.

Venezuelan here, the only people we fear are communists and chavistas, not people from the US
🇻🇪
Hi Roger, you talked in your video about taking much cash money because it’s not possible to get money from the bank. Can you explain this a little more, because if that’s true, I think that is a big reason not to go as a tourist. Because when that’s common everybody who has bad intention knows.
Also you can use credit or debit card in any store or street vendor.
Que maravilla
Jakob told me that Venezuela is a super save place
It seems you are making Venezuela your permanent home?
I'm still travelling :)
Its safe now. They shipped all the criminals too NYC. Like Cuba did Florida.
Your brain is tiny
Here, we don't have mass shootings like in the US. (36 this year alone, and counting).😮
How do I get from the airport do I rent a car or a taxi or is there Uber or do I take the bus
Taxi to the city centre is around 35$ I think. Maybe there is also a bus but you should check that at the airport
@@XploreWithRoger thank you why so much money for the taxi $35 is dollars
Sounds very expensive for a taxi😮
I am a United States citizen, wanting to visit Venezuela so bad!!! but I don’t know how to get the visa or if I even need one anymore
U.S. citizens must obtain a visa to enter Venezuela legally.
my friend has been killed there 15 days ago, safety is something else!
Why would the thieves leave for ecuador? Explaination?
wait, so you're currently living in Venezuela temporarily or is it permanent? Honestly, despite me being an American, Venezuela intrigues me.
Ik was er augustus 2023 en mei 2022. Was top!
Amigó, Roger... Saludos.
Thinks are bad and will still bad in Venezuela, always gonna be until maduro go.
Stop showing ignorance about Venezuela as you are saying that before Chavez and Maduro things in Venezuela were fine. You don't know absolutely anything about Venezuela.
P.D:Though I was born and raised in Caracas, never I have voted in Venezuela. Therefore, save your energies with me.
@@JesusPerez-gb6mb fine? so why your guys keep coming to Brazil if is fine like you say? people are eating dogs in Venezuela, eating food from the trash, PEOPLE ARE LEAVING VENEZUELA TO BRAZIL, every month thousands of refugees leave your country... you are just a brainwashed maduro little PUTA.
Looks a lot better than Los Angeles or Chicago or Detroit!
If that's true then why are so many Venezuelans leeching off us in these cities???🤔 Tell them to go back to their home country!!
Thank you for the content.
If you were able to edit and upload this video that means it's safe enough.
Debes entrevistar a personas promedio.
Don't tell people safer, otherwise it will be shit full of tourists in less than 90 days
Yeah that's the downside
That's good my girl is Venezuelan and sais foreigners help with the economy you don't know what you're talking about

What was that saying again? If something bad happens everything is fine until something happens…? I enjoyed the video but couldn’t help poking fun of that.
Buenas noches.
You are Dutch? Den Haag region?
Venezuela needs organic seeds distributed. Every area of land should be transformed into a vegetable garden
what is wrong with visiting the bar areas at night, surly that is a safe area.
You look after your self bro we are not gonna visit Venezuela

I understand it’s safe now but I hear that it is insanely expensive
It's expensive but of course it also depends on what you're planning to do

I bet it’s safer because so many people left

Hello. You have any adress for learning spanish in Venezuela ?? Peace ❤
Looks cleaner than San Francisco LOL
😅
bro..i normal like your videos but this interview/ the question was quite bad bro
What was bad about the questioning?
Are Colombian and Venezuelan the same people?? I’ve met Venezuelans and Mexicans in the US, and I think Mexicans are shorter, and facially rounder?
as history says, Venezuela and colombia was one big country called Gran Colombia so colombians and venezuelans are the same mixture of people
Venezuelans and Colombian are the most similar people in Latin America however there is a slight different among us .
you can tell who is enezuelan and who is Colombia in the way of dressing and looks
So its chicago....
Take us to the Hood to see plz😅 Or is that the Hood..?
Why Venezuelans don't definitely ride off the dictator?

I did visit Venezuela Caracas and must say is very stressful especially when you don’t speak Spanish ! Constantly you have to look over your shoulder ? I am sorry for the people n Venezuela ! People are friendly but you have to always be carful of danger ! I don’t think Venezuela is ready for tourist and definitely will not travel again in near future !
When did you go there?
