    I did a bit of adjustment by adding mung bean flour as well, then steaming it for 30 minutes before coating with breadcrumbs. Then BOOM!! Thanksss

    Subed! Nice content sis. Maybe you can add indo subtitle for indonesian subscribers, play the background music all around the video (keep it low so your voice can still be heard clearly), and lastly create your own unique and authentic closing statement (and opening as well actually). Good luck with your channel!

    Hello! I tried drying soy okara / pulp in the oven and microwave, after such drying okara loses its ability to absorb. Even if he just lies on the table for a couple of days, he still loses the ability to absorb water. Tell me, please, how can okara be dried so that the ability to absorb water and dissolve in it remains?

      hi! thankyou for dropping a comment here ☺️
      honestly, i’ve never tried dried okara..
      it must be very difficult for you to work with it💔

  • @ooglemonster

    People confused about raw vs cooked okara: if you made soy milk with a soy milk machine, your okara is cooked already. If you made it by blending raw beans, straining out the okara, then cooking the soy milk, your okara is raw. You really shouldn’t eat raw beans. Unfortunately, I have no advice as to how to cook it. Maybe boil it and strain it again? I don’t think frying it like here would be enough. Maybe there is a way to make soy milk by boiling the beans first, letting it cool, blending it, then straining, so that your okara is cooked (and you won’t have to cook the soy milk either).

      Type1Vegan Hi! thankyou for the explanation 😊, I realized that I wasn’t explain about my okara is cooked or not in the video. And yes.. my okara is cooked, when i made my soy milk I also boiled my blended soy bean with water.

    Hi.. i tried to make it using tofu.. but it wont shaped as yours.. so, can u please give me some trick to make it more thick or something like that??

    • @waiwaialisa
      @waiwaialisa  4 года назад

      Christa Bella Hi! it probably your tofu is too dry or too wet. It is supposed to be something in between that, but a littleee bit to the dry side 😅

    • @waiwaialisa
      @waiwaialisa  4 года назад

      If it too wet and more watery.. you can use napkin or paper towel to absorb the liquid from the tofu

    • @christabella1913
      @christabella1913 4 года назад

      Mmm.. what tofu u prefer for the perfect texture?? Or it has to used soy pulp to get thick and more shapeable dough? And i just wondering, is it has same texture to chicken nugget when u bite it? I mean, chicken nugget has a chewy texture right? So sorry.. im just new vegan this month :(

    • @waiwaialisa
      @waiwaialisa  4 года назад

      Christa Bella if it tofu, you should use the firm one, because so many type of tofu out there 😅 but for the best result i recommend that you use soy pulp. For the texture it self, it is not chewy as chicken nugget tho.. I haven’t try to make other vegan nuggets other than this, but i think for the chewy texture you can use mushroom or seitan (fake meat/vegan meat) And I’m happy to hear that, I myself not a vegan.. just vegetarian, I still eat egg and consume diary products 😅

    Can firm tofu be used instead of okara please?

  • @Despoina_Nyx
    @Despoina_Nyx 4 года назад

    I have one problem and it is that the okara I currently have is awfully bitter, way more than the one my mother made last time. So I don't know how to use it seems I'm scared of using spices and stuff only for the bitterness to overpower the flavour.

    • @waiwaialisa
      @waiwaialisa  4 года назад +1

      Darkcanx8 Hello! Did you cook your okara first? like steam or boil it? Because I use my leftover okara from my soymilk. I boiled my blended soybean for my soymilk first, then I use it for my nuggets.

    • @Despoina_Nyx

      @@waiwaialisa I separated the okara from the soy milk first and boiled the soy milk.

    Can I use a raw okara? Thank you

    • @waiwaialisa
      @waiwaialisa  4 года назад +1

      Kamila Brzezinska I’m not sure about that, because if the okara still raw.. it take longer time to fry it to make it well cooked and since it use breadcrumbs.. it probably make it burn easily on the outside. So i suggest you to cook or steam the okara first :D

    How do those nuggets taste? You seem to season it heavily. Ever consider using fresh shallots (bawang merah) & garlic? Also, you didn’t season the batter. Anyway good luck

    • @waiwaialisa
      @waiwaialisa  5 лет назад

      Ima Purnomo it is really depends tho, i love strong garlic and onion taste 😅.
      About real garlic and shallots, i haven’t try those yet.. but that’s also good to try next time.
      I did seasoning the batter, but just not much because i prefer the taste from the okara (tofu).
      and Thankyou 😊
