What are you IATs with the w2a with and without ice? It's hot AF in TX too so probably close to what your seeing there. Are you running a blend on IC coolant or just distilled water? Thanks!
IATs are way below ambient with ice, without ice the water can get hot fast while in boost. I run a mix of water and some antifreeze. Antifreeze keeps the water from stinking after it’s been sitting.

This is awesome, but I would definitely reroute that turbo inlet to the bed if I were you, or at least don't take it to the beach or else that turbo is toast.
Turbo is over 24 inches off the ground and tucked under the truck. After a few years of rain, sand, snow, rocks and mud it’s perfectly fine.

Have you guys ever done anything like 5.7 wk2 rear mount turbo. Been looking into that lately and im trying to do it..
This is the only one I’ve done.
What size turbo are you running and what rear A/R. I’m making a nice tow rig but I have the Ford 5.4 3v so I’m trying to size it properly for my application. No so much about HP but more about usable towing power in my case.

Quick question just wondering for the engine build it self mainly the turbo how much did it cost you only asking cause i got an 06 ram 1500 5.7 hemi and i plan to twin turbo charge it in the future my goal with it is at least 800whp if possible just curious on how much 1 turbo setup is might change my mind if its alot lol

Thank you 🙏, your engine build for boost and better performance should cost in between 5 and 10k depending on how far you take it. You’ll need a fuel system as well, that can cost in between 3 and 4k. Worth it if you love it, but you will need to swap the transmission also. Thats another 5 to 8k.

Any idea on power gains with that turbo?
I haven’t got it on a dyno yet, I’m guessing I’m 200 - 300hp above stock. I’ll try to get it on a dyno soon to confirm.

Probably the worst place you can put a turbo… water mud leaves small rocks sanddd all getting sucked into that thing under the truck
Over 2 years and not a single problem. Never has anything got sucked in but air. Drove through mud, snow and rain without issues. So far there isn’t a faster ram in this configuration. So it is not the worst spot.

How much for the build?
Just the turbo system was 3-4K, all depends on the price of parts. That’s including injectors, everything when I say turbo system. Truck ran 12.005 and 114.46 mph in the 1/4(gapped rings for high boost).
How many psi?

What size are your track tires? Ive been looking at the Forgestar drag pack 17s but worried about how its going to look at stock height.
Tires are 29 - 30” I can’t remember, the wheels are 18”.

Those tires are for the track, smaller tires equals faster. The truck started off as an off road vehicle and worked its way into time chasing. It ran 12.005 @ 114.46mph on 7 cylinders unfortunately. 😜 Test n tune turbo Ram win and fail

How did I fail? It had $3000 worth of mud tires on it at one point. The truck was featured in a custom offsets video off roading. If you didn’t know, it’s a track truck now. Forged engine, built transmission and turbo. Good luck my friend 👍 I’m not trying to impress dudes with high egos thinking you need to shove the biggest tire you can under the fenders. If I want to go off road and or daily drive I have another truck and car. I can put big tires back on it anytime I want, for free most likely.
I have a 2020 hemi ram in 4x4. I plan to slap not only a turbo on it, BUT I WANT TWO if I can make it happen without breaking everything. I went with a 4x4 so it's easier to make AWD if I so choose in the future.
Too bad some other shit happened before ai could do anything with my truck, but I'll get there even if it takes 15 years to budget.
