I played all a lot on PC and always go back to my ps5. I hate that quite a few games feel buggier at launch and I have to mess with settings. Yes Sony made a dumb decision like M$ putting their games on PC. I grew up playing on consoles on PC. Nintendo, Sega and Sony (until) now but I am moving to PC/Switch 2 after PS5.
Sony and Microsoft bringing their exclusives to PC isn't a bad thing, as I said in the video, more people will be able to play, the problem is that in the case of Sony for example, exclusives were the biggest pillar of PlayStation, Since the PS2, I've seen many people using exclusives as an argument to say that PlayStation was better than Xbox, and when these exclusives come out on PC, the pillar that supports the PlayStation becomes weak, It doesn't break cuz only a few of it exist on the PC, but it weakens it and the reasons for buying a PlayStation diminish, the Xbox doesn't have half the soul and identity it had back in the Xbox 360 days, halfway through the Xbox One gen, they decided to release all exclusives on PC (with the exception of some like Rare Replay and Halo 5), consequently Xbox sales started to drop, and they didn't care, nowadays they focus on services instead of selling consoles, the pillar that supports it is Game Pass, and it already exists on PC, but it doesn't have many games that exist on the console version, and this is why the pillar doesn't break, but it also becomes weak. In summary, the lack of exclusivity is only bad cuz Sony and Microsoft don't make an effort to make a console really different from each other, and use these two pillars (already weakened) as crutches, if the Nintendo Switch didn't have any of those exclusives, it would still continue to be different from the PlayStation and Xbox
Saying that games are cheaper on PC isn't entirely true. If you are just looking at what platform has the cheapest prices and discounts, then yes PC wins, however there is more too it then that. On Console you have the ability to buy and more importantly, to sell physical games. (Yes there does exist physical PC games as well, but very few games get physical PC releases). Because of this there exists a second hand market for Physical Console games, which is not something you have on PC. I can buy a used game from someone else at a huge discount, then after I an finished with that game, I can just sell it again for almost exactly the same as what you bought it for. That way you can end up getting to play games for almost free, this even includes new releases!
Everything you said is true, but it only works in the short term, with each generation, players and companies care less and less about physical games since the consumption of digital games has increased a lot (especially on platforms like Xbox where Game Pass exists), nowadays there are consoles that don't come with a disc drive, there are "physical" games that don't have a disc, Starfield for example just a code inside the box for you to redeem the game digitally, there are AAA games that don't have a physical version or the physical version exists but is released months later like Forza Motorsport and Alan Wake II, In summary, physical games are on their way out in the next generations. I'm not saying that what I said invalidates what you said, I agree with you, but this won't be a reality in the next generations
True! But when you compare to digital sales on consoles at launch and post launch their is no comparison. Right now for example, monster hunter wilds is going for$35 on PC while its gonna be $70 at launch for xsx and ps5.
Cloud Gaming might replace "Local PC gaming" in the future. I have gigabit Internet. 80% of the time I forget I am streaming a game. Ok, so the graphics aren't great but are still acceptable, don't look like super bad or anything. The frame rate is full 165 Hz my monitor max supports. Cool awesome right? I don't get this why the PC version of Black Ops 6 is so horrible. I don't get it. First I tried 1440p, ok stutter problems. Let's try at 1080p, I shouldn't get those stuttering problems anymore, but no the stuttering still happens constantly. I don't get it anymore. It always plays way better on consoles every single time. I have a PS5 Pro and I don't have any stutter issues at all like I do on the PC game. I have the PC game on low settings and set the graphics up so it's at low graphical level for all settings, it gets the high FPS 165 Hz. But oh no still stutters all the time and never ever stops. This just proves consoles are better. So yeah I get overall better gaming performance in COD games on my PS4 and PS5.
