- A spokesperson with the Noblesville Fire Department told 13News a 21-year-old contractor was installing water pipes when the collapse happened.
Another young person dead because of people cutting corners. THIS is why safety regulations are so important. Shame on his bosses for allowing this to happen
No trench box ... That's just taking advantage of a young person
you are kidding me!!!! that is crazy...who does that???, it is common knowledge, this contractor has no common sense, this stinks and people have every right to be angry, shame on them. Workers if they send you down into a trench with no box WALK OFF THE JOB your LIFE is not worth that job.
No shoring box, contractor just went out of business! Family already has a lawyer!!
You are dead on right.
what company was it ?
Prayers for his family and friends….🙏🙏🙏
Thats so sad and heartbreaking. My heart goes out to everyone.
Anyone know who the contractor is?
This is pure laziness and neglect, there couldn't have been any trench safety in this situation, but I ask myself why wasn't this kid notified about trench safety or safety period. I am also a young 22 year old black man myself and I work as a union millwright with really heavy industrial dangerous things. This story breaks my heart I was once in this same situation when I first started in the construction field with Gordon Plumbing I was 18 years old straight out of high school without any knowledge of trench Saftey and I was placed in a 10ft trench digging alone and also back filling it alone for a pipe that needed replaced luckily a random man from another contractor or it could've been a safety guy asked me "hey do you want to die today?" I looked at him and said no what are you talking about and he says " there's no trenching in there get out of that hole !!!!!". This story is horrible and someone needs to take accountability and charged for murder !!!! and also consequences like closing down the company and stripping all licenses and paying off the families for dealing with this tragic situation.
Probably already looking for his replacement.
That is so sad 😢
Why didn't they get an oxygen mask on the guy to pump oxygen if he was having problems breathing????????????????????????
Lungs literally squished. Probably wouldn't have done much of anything. Many bones probably broken instantly. That is thousands of lbs of pressure crushing your body.
It wouldn't have helped!
@@H-D-D dude was alive for several hours as they were trying to get it out....... if his bones were crushed and lungs smashed he wouldn't have been alive for hours...........
Kinda hard to breathe when there’s 1000’s of pounds of dirt pushing against your chest.
@@cirax88 He wasn't alive for hours!
