  • Following the success of the first DRE Adventure Academy in Umbria, Italy, Ducati has just opened a brand new centre in Mid Wales. Based at the superb Sweet Lamb Adventure complex, riders have 6500 acres of prime Welsh terrain to explore, all under the watchful eyes of Mark Molineux and his team of expert Instructors. I was lucky enough to be invited to the official Press Launch for the DRE Adventure Academy and approached the event as a customer would do. In this video, I'll give you an idea of what to expect, particularly in terms of the DRE Academy Level 1 course, whilst also showing you around the Hospitality Suite and beautiful countryside of the Cambrian Mountains.

I hadn’t appreciated that Ducati had this facility. Looking at the multistrada rally- this experience is a great way to feel the bikes. Thanks for the post. Really useful.

Very interesting, Tony! I keep hoping, though, that you will do another long trip; I really enjoyed the videos about your trip to see the POW camp where your father was interned.

I took my multi 1200 enduro twice last year here with mark , they got me riding off road so comfortably on a big bike , he’s a brilliant instructor and literally everything he told me made me a better rider. Definitely worth going .

I looked at the Desert x, it is a phenomenal bike but was put off as soon as I found out how much the belt service was.

Hi Tony Looks great👍, interestingly I’ve considered going with Triumph who also have similar courses for similar prices and in wales😃. I think BMW also offer something similar but not sure of details.

Yes, most manufacturers offer an off-road training course, I'm attending a Honda one on Exmoor in the summer

Hi Tony, just to clarify about accommodation, was it provided for you, as a press release or for everyone who books the course? Got me booked for the end of July! 🙂

Hi, Ducati provided the accomodation for this event, it’s not included in the price of the course, but I believe there is a special rate

Really enjoyed my off road training. Especially as it was on someone else's bike! Learnt loads.
Do they do smaller ( probably non Ducati ) bikes? That's a lot of very gravy machinery. I did mine on CRF's, and then slightly heavier DR'S.
    Ride safe 👍

There are enduro bike options, but not not via Ducati obviously. This course is designed for adventure bikes and the terrain used is accordingly suitable.
