"I definitely would have one"... Just one problem Sweden does not via law let you have wild animals like pets... To be honest, let them be wild. I think that's the best. Love from Sweden...
One thing I loved about your channel....whew I'm here to rip you a new one and before my PMSing fingers got going he said they have sharp claws. Thank you they are stunning and adorable but wildlife needs to stay in there real home not our backyards. I love that you are here for them but I hate you are so desperately needed.
My hubby had 2 Coati’s when I met him. They were 6 year old sisters. We NEVER encountered any of these issues..lol. They were the sweetest little girls, very curious and loved to play. They were never aggressive with anyone. He did raise them from babies so maybe that’s why we didn’t have these issues? They did eat a lot which was costly. Ours loved eggs, papaya, different fruit and veggies, meat on occasion. Best pets we ever had!
Thank you for the realistic video about Coatimundis... there is another channel in here that has gone CRAZY with animal acquisitions. One of "their pets" is a Coatimundi and all we see is his adorable he is... he a baby and he IS TOTALLY CUTE... They have NO IDEA what they've gotten themselves into. Thank you for making this video. Love you guys!
Perfect, I'm convinced! That's exactly what I was looking for, an adorable and untrainable kleptomaniac who I can pet until it tries to steal my phone and I end up with one less nose in my face without the ability of calling for emergency services. Thanks, guys! But, really, this was a really funny video 😂 And a great way to show people why, while cute, they're really reallyyy not pets.
Brilliant video guys....absoloutely hilarious and it had me laughing and smiling from start to finish and Im convinced I need a dozen of them....who doesn't need an aggressive Robin Hood in their lives eh lol x I come out with random facts about all sorts of animals now thanks to you....I could sit an exam about alligators Im sure lol x I have gained such a respect and understanding for the animalls you look after and think your doing God's work! Its obvious you love what you do and the sanctuary and the animals that live there but wow you both must be exhausted as I can see its a 24/7 job but I do envy it in lots of ways! X
"Get out of my butt"... that cracked me up. Lets be honest... they do look cute and can be cute... really cute... but like you said, most wild animals are like that and they can all tear you apart. I stick by Attenborough's rule... "Wild animals are best enjoyed at a distance".
Lola crawling across the ceiling reminds me of that scene in Aliens when they're moving through the air ducts😂 This was really informative and I hope it makes people think twice about getting one.💚
I'm loving the sarcasm. I was nervous when I saw the title. I just knew y'all were gonna get some pushback on this. I love you two and completely get why you made this video. It needed to be said before ppl went out to get some. *do coatis need heartworm prevention as well?
Good message! Exotic vets are hard to find and you pay out the wazoo for their knowledge. One of my rabbits recently had gut stasis secondary to bladder sludge. Two nights at the exotic vet was $3000. And it was caused by her diet. She was eating as recommended but this particular rabbit needed a lower calcium diet. You can do everything right and still have surprises that cost a ton.
I love the comical sarcasm as well as serious facts! Also I’ve seen each of you on other platforms it’s so fun! Good luck continuing the animal sanctuary! I am from NY but if I ever visit my family in FL if you are open or need volunteers count me in! Both of you Must work so hard day in and day out! Thank you and happy holidays!
The way you guys do things with you guys animals is amazing and I love the way you guys go about space they need and such is awesome! I wish more people would do the same if they are able to!
It's such a joy to enjoy wild animals variously through your videos! You both are entertaining and educational; I don't worry about being bitten or eaten. Win-win!
I knew a lady who built an elaborate sunroom attached to her home for her grey fox. But her coatimundi was in a 4x4 foot wire cage with no enrichment at all. Very sad.
When I did Jungle School in Panama, the most amazing thing to me was how you can call coatis out of the jungle. All you have to do is pull out a can of C-rations and a can opener and start opening the can. They will appear as if by MAGIC.
I was wondering when I read the title......nice sarcasm. But they are still cute! The noses!!! Speaking about enrichment (again, I know...) I think there are zoos who freeze some fruit or chicken or whatnot in water and give it go them in the summer....
That was a funny video haha. I mean even from them crawling over you you can see the potential for injury! I’ll definitely keep enjoying their cuteness at a distance!
funny way of making your point lol. I love sarcasm! Yeah I suppose that is part of the reason you have so many rescues. It is like all exotic pets and reptiles. People don't do their homework and fail to realize how long pets can live, how big they get, how dangerous they can be, no vets, and so many other important characteristics. Thank you for educating us!
❤❤❤thank you guys for this❤❤❤ I love the way you approached this. Cause without saying names, an influencer has one as a baby and is just promoted adorableness and jot the responsibility factor.

Me: "SOLD!!! 🥰😎" Seriously, Great vids, you two! I'm glad that you guys are able to make these videos showing how nature is both beautiful and savage at the same time.
I ran into these when I was on vacation in the Mexican Riviera. Lots of them were all over this long barrier wall on a side alley to the hotel I was in - looking into the hotel's windows and looking down on all the people walking by. Some people would throw fruits at them to catch from their hotel windows.
I think it was especially effective hearing you say "Ow! God! Why?!" as the Coatimundi climbed all over you. And the fresh scratches. Great selling point for pet ownership! LOL! Great Hilarious video! I've never seen such a stubbornly obsessively curious animal. NO Thanks on a coatimudi as a pet. Great education on adorable wild animals that DON'T belong in a household.
Even just having squirrels that should be in the wild, can get hard!! I’ve had to raise them at three different times in life where they’ve been found on the ground and not retrieved from their mom. They were all males and each one, when they reached their “ I want a female” stage…. Could attack and bite others besides myself. Only because I bottle fed them all. Our last one got ahold of my husband really bad and I felt awful. I slowly released each of them when their time came but also had to make sure it was the right season. They r really adorable when they r younger and sometimes we have to help out when there’s no other option. But wild animal’s definitely belong in the wild. It’s not fair to keep adult, wild animals caged up if they can be released. Thank u guys for your education, sacrifice and hard work. Ppl don’t get that when u buy exotics, u rob them from living a life of being free and most end up in sanctuaries, zoos or tossed in the outdoors and aren’t capable of surviving 😪
This really reminded me of people who see baby foxes or fennec foxes and wild cats such as caracals, which unfortunately have become very popular on RUclips by people who do have them. It's both frightening and sad. You all brought up a point that I wanted to ask regarding your coatis as they mature. I read that when female coatis reach sexual maturity, they tend to gang up on any males in an effort to shun them from their band. If I recall your last video, I remember one of the babies is male. Any thoughts on how you might handle a situation should it arise? Great work and fantastic advice on the nature of these magnificent creatures.
From everybody that we have been talking to, usually in big groups in captivity they get along. Even just introducing everybody went pretty smoothly. The three new ones are definitely bonded, so I would be very surprised if we have any issues.
Wish i could open an animal sanctuary, dream job! Unfortunately probably extremely unlikely. I just love the idea of helping them then releasing them, or eveb having embassador animals to show the public ect, that's so cool.

The time and effort and care that goes into every slice and chopped piece of fruit and variety you put into each and every bowl 2m3,4 times a day! They look, and taste, amazing.
