Thanks for the hammer curl fix with leaning, Joe. I was avoiding hammer curls lately because they were making my elbow sore. Even trying this with an unweighted flex while I watched this, keeping upper arm vertical, feels much better. Big 👍
Love the seated cable curl. I've been doing this with dumbbells on an incline bench and always ended up with a ton of forearm and wrist pain. The cable version is entirely pain free and the pump is through the roof! I'm not exactly sure as to the mechanics of it but I'm really loving it. I think it's to do with dumbbells being all wobbly when they're on the heavy side and you're using a lot of forearm and wrist strength to stabilize the movement, whereas cables enforce stability and proper line of resistance on the bicep throughout the range of motion without engaging other muscles.
That gym played a strong lineup of motivational music. In this 8 minute video alone we heard: Eye of the Tiger, Thunder, and Lose Yourself. I was hoping the video would finish would a Karate Kid style montage to You're the Best Around.
Recently discovered this channel and love it!!! The Jeff Nippard interview brought me here. Awesome no nonsense and drama free content going on here. Put the workouts in the description!!! Subbed to Joe's channel now too💪👍👍
i like you two a lot. please make more videos together. i saw some of your muscle activasion videos and they helped me AAAAA LOT! thank you so much for sharing your knowledge
Due to the natural bend in the elbow (called the carrying angle) the forearm will always be at an angle to The humerus and not parallel. So, I’m not sure this would make much of a difference
Great workout john.I had back and biceps today and with this workout with the previous my lat and biceps is super pump.Thank you for your amazing content.Hallo from greece.!!
I was wondering if you could make a video showing how to properly do them incline dumbbell curls And probably another good strech excerise for me to finish up working my biceps with you know for better bicep growth you know .
Hi sir I have 2 main questions always confusing me . 1. How many time should I work my biceps per week? 2. How many workouts should I train for biceps day. Are 3 enough or should I go for 4 workouts
mohamed rashed Bro splits that have you training each body part 1 time a week aren’t very effective for the most part. I would recommend training each body part/ muscle group 2 times a week, with less volume in each workout to prevent burning out or getting too sore. To answer your second question, I personally only do about 3 different exercises on biceps, with about 4 sets on each exercise. Hope this helps you
I see progress in my life maybe i just need to go a lil harder im at 140 pounds now and when i started watching you i was at 126 pounds so i know im doing Right you know .
Amazing strict form as usual, this sort of video should be played at some gyms where you get the arse holes swinging weights about using every muscle in there body's apart from the bi's or tri's,fantastic video guys,Thanks from the UK
Hey MountainDog1 i was wondering if you could make a video showing another stretch exercise . Because I know about the spider curl and i do that and I just learned how to do the inclined dumbbell curls properly Because my gym doesn’t have the sitting cable bicep curls you know .
@moutaindog1, hi John do you generally do more than two exercises for arm day? Is 4x12 set dumbell curls + another exercise enough or do I need to do like 5 different exercises a session?! Thanks
Hey john, when I do hammer curls, does tucking your arms back (like you would during incline bench bicep curls) and curling help? It’s weird that my arms tend to want to not be vertical, but tucked back when I try hammer curls. I have to consciously move them forward to make them look like how your hammer curls do. Sorry if this seems strange. Not sure if I should tuck them back or not. Thanks
mountaindog1 I’m just happy that you understand my rambling LOL. I just seem not to feel the burn as much with hammers though also. Do you notice that wide grip curls really burn more? Maybe it’s just the biceps that build more lactic acid than the brachialis? It’s still difficult but a different feeling. Strange.
I understand doing sets of lighter weights for the metabolic stress/pump. But that guy w the beard was only cable curling like 10lbs. Maybe it was just to show as an example for the video but wow. I mean wow.
Thanks John. This was a great workout. I never knew about the carrying angle. Are their benefits to doing brachialis first? Or is it just preference sometimes? Thanks!!
Curious question I've been doing the flat bench vertical cable curl I don't see much online about it but I get a hell of a pump from it. Is it not good, just forgotten or has something else taken its place?
I have never been able to get a bicep peak. Any suggestions? I can built a 20.5" arm (19" as I type this) but my bicep tends to just get thick/wide but never any height or peak. My tris get huge though and of course make up and bulk of my arm size making my biceps look even smaller.
John’s biceps are on another level

OMG DUDES IS BROLIC!!!
Great video. Would this be a complete bicep workout? Or would you add in a heavy exercise before you pump up the muscle.
this is complete
The last exercices can you do on bench standing if the cable is to high ?
Hey MountainDog1 i was wondering if you could make a video showing another stretch exercise . Because I know about the spider curl and i do that and I just learned how to do the inclined dumbbell curls properly Because my gym doesn’t have the sitting cable bicep curls you know .

Thanks John. This was a great workout. I never knew about the carrying angle. Are their benefits to doing brachialis first? Or is it just preference sometimes? Thanks!!
