For someone who is really looked to for your opinion on bottles, you nailed it right on the head! Tasting is subjective and we need more guys like you saying that. Thanks!
Now I’m glad I got a bottle for $71. Me personally I like the dark honey that is sold at Sam’s Club. Nice subtle sweetness I put it on toast instead of maple syrup.
I love saving some if each bottle for and infinity bottle of Larceny BP. I even went ahead and created a bottle of 1/3 of each 2023 release. Holy Hell, it's good.
I like my honey raw and local.... Also, loved the C922 and was able to get A123 and C923 last year and they were the best pickups of the year for me. Still think the C922 was slightly better, tried them blind twice and it came out on top both times.
U.S. your information as a guide not gospel. I’m into bold flavors hence why I’m a Knob creek single barrel fan and Larceny hits right there for me. I missed the A123 last year but got the last two and both are very good. I did get this bottle but haven’t opened it yet. Now I can’t wait to open this.. great job and thanks. Enjoy!!
I thought I heard this was supposed to be very spicy, perhaps that's the ECBP A124? I really enjoyed both the Larceny BP B523 & C923, which I found had a chocolate covered hazelnut note. Love honey too; so looking forward to grabbing the A124.
Just posted the same thing. You are right, this A124 is a spice bomb! Love it! If you like OGD 114 & WT stuff, A124 is for you. Got this bottle now & it confirms the other reviews. Not sure why this review & the comments focus on honey, caramel & no mention of spice, when this is very spice forward & good finish with little to no alcohol burn (unlike my JD Brl Prf). This A124 is good flavor spice. It's not alcohol burn/heat, that some people call spice.
As always,A real class act..Been a good eight yrs since I first saw your podcasts. Got me through that lousy lockdown. I always look forward to next podcast. Iwas wondering what happened to the hidden barn?
I'm newly on my bourbon journey and larceny really grabbed me on my first glass over a few of the others. Just picked up the A124 and excited to try it. I might be a larceny fan boy soon!
I don’t get the folks who want the same flavor profile with every release… there’s plenty of those out there. I want to get something new with every release
Mash bill is always the same...age is different, proof is different, yes seasonal influence is different, location in warehouse can be different, raw materials themselves (corn, wheat, malted barley, yeast, water) can be slightly different, quality of barrels can be different...I'm sure I'm missing a few.
The age statement is still 6 to 8yr & mash bill is the same. Each batch shows the massive difference in the end whiskey with barrel location & blending. Master blending of the barrels for these batches can create a huge variance of flavor profiles from the same whiskey. On HH website they state that all their whiskey is barreled at 125P & when done aging, the proof varies from each barrel from the high 80s on 1st floor barrels to 155P for top floor barrels. So it's possible to have a sub 90P barrel proof whiskey, which WT has done. Would like to see one from 100-110P.
Only had this one so far, but have B523 waiting for me when i travel soon. Really like the spice in this, but hope B523 is even better in a different way.
I hate fake, syrupy, sweet honey in whiskey. But I love when whiskey is finished in honey barrels, or infused with real honey. Chattanooga Whiskey Honey Infused experimental series (only 4 barrels) is UNMATCHED.
Have you tried putting honey or maple syrup in your whiskey? It takes a few hours to dissolve. Good for coffee whiskey. It already has the sweetener in it.
Just bought my first bottle of “regular” Larceny in a while. Haven’t cracked it yet but a serious question. What would be the REAL difference in it and your A124? By “real” I mean when I drink it it’ll be on ice with water. If it’s 124 proof I’m adding a little more water - I’m too old to be worried about what anyone else thinks.
Sub par in my opinion, I mean it's still good but not the best LBP ive had in a while. Didn't get any honey I this one... More savory and oaky than anything else...was expecting better, but it seems Heaven Hill starts the patches off slow in the beginning of the year!
Larceny is rot gut. I tried the C series and the regular larceny yesterday and compared to four roses, JTS brown, woodford reserve and others larceny is the bottom of my list.

Agreed
Bought a bottle couple days ago. Excited to tryout! Myv1st Larceny barrel proof
We raised bees for honey when I was in middle school. I definitely have a soft spot for it. Lots of good memories, especially at harvest time.
I was fortunate to pick up five bottles last year. Was super impressed with all three releases. Liking the A124 as well.
Loved it from to first pour…
Started looking for backup right away
Fred's shirt has swag. Enjoying B123 and A124.
Now I’m glad I got a bottle for $71. Me personally I like the dark honey that is sold at Sam’s Club. Nice subtle sweetness I put it on toast instead of maple syrup.
Bought a Larceny A124 in February based on an SLB Drinks review. Tasted so good I bought 3 more (before they sell out). Honey is good. BoomerPilot
I bought one then went back for another four.
I actually got this for $54. Well below msrp.
Me too. Strong Like Bull.
@@alexgyorko6464 wanna sell any?
I bought one, then forgot I bought it, saw it in another store and bought another. Glad I did now!
Bought one because of your honey notes and I agree completely. It’s a delicious bottle, thank you for the review.
Really enjoyed this one too. HH is going a great job with Larceny.

Got one for $57 in Gatlinburg of all places and it is absolutely worth every penny
The Larceny BP’s have just been great! 922, 923, 124 are tops in my book!
Lookin' good Fred! I got A123 and 2 B523, never found a C923. The B523 are sitting on the shelf in several local shops. Will keep an eye out for A124.
I liked the Larceny C923 so will to look for this. I like the real honey and on warm cornbread!
Crazy thing is I just saw a few sitting on a shelf yesterday and didn’t get it. Being a Larceny barrel proof fan, I’ll definitely pick it up tomorrow.
So glad to get this one for $55. Can't wait to try it.
Who doesn’t love honey?? This is definitely a great pour. Actually sitting down after a long day at working sipping on this now.
Yes! Love when you go off on Vodka.
Compared it blind to C923 and preferred the A124!! Got two bottles lol Heaven Hill is my favorite
Lmao that whisper, "You know who you are..."

I agree with you, it's fantastic. I get a lot of chocolate and molasses. I almost get a Reese's cup vibe from it.
Favorite honey is probably hot honey or clover honey. Great review.
I over looked this the other day. Looks like I’m headed back to the store 😊
Last one I had was B523 didn’t care for it. The others have all been good
As always,A real class act..Been a good eight yrs since I first saw your podcasts.

Yeah, I like this one a lot. Really fun butterscotchy and spicy bourbon.
I got a bottle from my kids as a birthday gift. I'm really enjoying it. I'm a Larceny fan boy anyway🤣🥃❤️🥃
I'm newly on my bourbon journey and larceny really grabbed me on my first glass over a few of the others. Just picked up the A124 and excited to try it. I might be a larceny fan boy soon!

I love raw honey. Usually medium to light in color. Some darker honey like buckwheat gets a bit overwhelming.
Hah, I just bought a bottle at my local liquor store on the off-chance that it may be as good as last year. Thanks for the review!
Bradshaw spun honey is awesome! I also like the cayenne infused honey:)
I love honey, especially honey comb…..delicious!
It’s fantastic! Grabbed a backup or two 😂
When this first came out, I tried it and went back to get 3 more backups.
Why are each batches different? Mash bills or just seasonal influence?

@@motohead077 thanks. Cool stuff. 👍🏼
Honey. Organic. Love it all the time. Beware of some honey sold in stores, nothing more than high fructose corn syrup (☠️) laced with bee juice.
I maybe late to the party but got dang this is some super tasty stuff right here! Yummy yummy to my tummy😂😎👍
Picked up a bottle of this at Costco. Haven't cracked it yet. Thanks for the review! Edit: I like my honey thick and rich!
Same here! $55 seemed like a steal for a BP
Same. They even had Buffalo Trace in stock which is rare where I am. Great $80 worth of juice in the 2 bottles.
Really interesting review… I felt that this A124 expression of LBP fell short of all 3 of last year’s offerings. To each their own I suppose!
Agreed
Only had this one so far, but have B523 waiting for me when i travel soon. Really like the spice in this, but hope B523 is even better in a different way.
I like Real Honey w/Comb
Definitely one of my favorites!
Its a month later now and I still love honey, especially Dragons Milk Origin Honey.
Tupelo Honey is my jam
Fred I will always trust your palate
Gotta go out and grab me one of those 👍

I LOL’d the price range. What a travesty of a system we have for spirits. This is a $99 (+20% + $3) bottle in WA
Yikes
55 bucks at Sam's Club and 65 elsewhere. C923 is still around for 65 as well.
WW2007, 20% is absolutely ridiculous. Taxation is one thing, excessive taxation like this is nuts.
@@tracybrewer9921paid the same at my local Costco outside STL, MO
Well got to pay for all the needles and narcan somehow.

I am a bee keeper so I do happen to like honey, I prefer the flavor in whiskey to be like the and thin!
Got mine for 55 bucks today at Costco
Nice
Is that in MA where it's really $55 (no sales tax). They got like 60 more A124 last week.
Another solid pour by Larceny
Yup.
I'll have to snag one of these....
Love honey anyway but loose! As Clint would say!
So a little oak is good.
It is a bourbon taste explosion!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love honey! Origin Honey
A124 is better than any from last year so I am off to get a backup or 2
I better hurry and try mine before they go away just in case I need backups.
Love me some thick wild honey. A PB, Banana, and Honey sandwich on wheat bread. If that was in a bourbon...
Raw & unfiltered Louisiana honey.
Confectionery honey
😂
I thought this was the best of 2024 larceny period
6:18 you a bad boi
Every one talks about the A and B series but how about the Y series?
But Y tho??
Sub par in my opinion, I mean it's still good but not the best LBP ive had in a while. Didn't get any honey I this one... More savory and oaky than anything else...was expecting better, but it seems Heaven Hill starts the patches off slow in the beginning of the year!
Mikes Hot Honey is amazing!
I like honey alot.
Freaking fantabulous
Another great video
I have a back up already only 60 dollars in LA
raw honey is the best
Just picked up 2 bottles at $61.99 per.
Well crap. Glad I got a bottle before this goes Henry McKenna.
Winnie The Pooh Type Honey Here !
No drop 💧 ( or 2) of water? Really?
Absolutely not. You freak
Manuka honey
A lot of snickerdoodle
