That was the most sensual planing I have ever experienced...I feel dirty. Dig the boxes! Will have to try to pop out a few of these as gifts. Thanks for all the great stuff you always share with us, you are an inspiration.
The TV in the background with the guy playing with a balloon or something made the video all worthwhile. Oh yea, nice project as well. Thanks for sharing.
Those wine displays are quite popular, I went to a craft show last weekend someone was selling the exact same model there and as far as I could tell folks were buying them.
To my friends with an inkjet printer, you can print a reverse image onto wax paper and transfer on to wood/anything. Not quite as easy as laser alternatives, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Absolutely love the simple elegance of your projects! Visited Napa Valley recently and couldn't believe what they're asking for similar products. Makes me wanna "Make Something"!
I swear, whenever you use the mallet, I hear the drum beat to "Car Jamming" by The Clash. Glad to say I am a proud owner of one of your wine boxes (with finger joints). Won it way back when you were doing giveaways.
Thanks for simplifying the method to figure out the selling price for items. I'll be looking forward to that future video. Great content as always. Keep it up!!!
I've been thinking of making a box like this to gift a set of Christmas ornaments, I think you've convinced me to go with box joints instead of splined mitres.
1: Respect the ponderosa pine 2: legit thought you were about to inhale a handful of sawdust 3: glue up montage music had me thinking I slipped into an E&K video
Don't know why I've never picked up on your Roy Underhill homage (I see Norm too), I watched 'em when I was a kid and still do to this day, not sure of his voodoo, other than a little grayer, he looks the same. I think it's the lifestyle, working with your hands is magic for your soul.
Nice build! Those 3 pieces of wood stuck to your shirt were super distracting though 😂 I think it’s super awesome of you to kinda take a step backwards and make something for the love of the craft! You are truly an inspiration sir, and we all know you ain’t doing the show for the money! I wish i lived near Toledo so i could pick up a picciuto original 😉
Have you ever explored making a beard/mustache comb? I’ve noticed that most of the ones on the market are a similar design to the box joint, and they seem like a pretty cool project.
Beautiful and elegant gift idea! Another great video showcasing the finger joints. Kudos to Camera Dan yet again! Stellar filming! How do we get more information on your upcoming craft show?
Im considering a Sawstop, but i notice that many RUclipsrs dont use their installed blade dust collection gard as well as they don't use a mask. Is the undertable dust collection really that good?
It's good but using the dust collection guard is recommended. I think the reason a lot of people don't use the guard is for convenience and to not block the shot when recording video. You'll see a lot of experienced woodworkers not use it becasue it can be in the way. I suggest using it and only remove it if you feel 100% comfortable.
Holy Toledo Piccuto! You're just copying the highly successful RUclipsr The Drunken Woodworker! Nice update, great camera work, loving this new style fellas!

Thank you Jon!!
IF anyone is worried about the exposed end slots: cutting the box joints first lets you position the grooves to match them. Great work Dave.
Bro... that is the cleanest workshop I have ever seen!
Nice, clean, vibrantly simple, classy, classic, and not complicated to make, this is when the wine is an accessory to the real gift!
The TV in the background with the guy playing with a balloon or something made the video all worthwhile. Oh yea, nice project as well. Thanks for sharing.
I really need to get on the ball and make that box joint jig. I'll be checking out more of your vids!
The collages of Roy Underhill and Norm Abram are great :)
The box makes giving a bottle of wine as a present so much better. Loving filming and editing.
Thanks David now I am going to be batching out a bunch of these to give out as gifts at my wedding. Thanks for the great content👍🏻
You are a genius for using these as wedding gifts!
This dude is just the coolest ever.
Oh man, that Picciutto headshot at 4:57 is money $$$
😁
Who does not love some slow motion hand plane action. MMMmmmmmm....oh ya baby.....
Thumbs up for the Huey Lewis cameo!

Damn.... I need a new drug, one that won't keep me up all night, one that won't make me sleep all day.
Nice wine boxes! I'm sure they'll sell great. I love using hand plane poop as a packing material too. People really seem to like it.
Those wine displays are quite popular, I went to a craft show last weekend someone was selling the exact same model there and as far as I could tell folks were buying them.
Wow! Just plain wow!
Loved the montage part while making the finger joints
That’s a super gift idea.

Right on, thanks for sharing this!
I've done this for a farewell giftbox, it gives it a kind of worn in and faded look. It's a nice touch
Absolutely love the simple elegance of your projects! Visited Napa Valley recently and couldn't believe what they're asking for similar products. Makes me wanna "Make Something"!
Great job David! I love that your work is so practical and easy enough for beginners!
You know what we’re here for. Smoooooth, sensual shavings.
No one was expecting it but no one was disappointed.
Never has pine looked so good. Awesome boxes, man.
That slow planing though; I was waiting for Patrick Swayze to nuzzle up behind you and guide your hands. Awesome build dude!
Hahahaha!!!!!!
I swear, whenever you use the mallet, I hear the drum beat to "Car Jamming" by The Clash. Glad to say I am a proud owner of one of your wine boxes (with finger joints). Won it way back when you were doing giveaways.
Oh wow, I totally forgot about that!!
I'm Loving the artistic flair, in the video production.
Those are really cool. Great way to make a custom gift this year
Thank God you explained how to do the transfer, my laser is out of service (doesn't exist).
Thanks for simplifying the method to figure out the selling price for items. I'll be looking forward to that future video. Great content as always. Keep it up!!!

Nice lookin boxes! Kickin butt and takin names.
I feel like your camera guy took his skills to the next level recently.
Digging the glass on wine on the bench while you work. Great content as always!

Wow. Another great gift idea Great video!!!
Nice craft.. Thanks for the video!!!
The sand montage! Yeah!
That box was cool, too, but I come for the sanding.
Great work and ideas you have my friend, keep up the great work and stay the course.
Cheers !!!
Love the boxes David and the finger jig. Going straight to my shop to make one 😀👍
You do great work and make things look so easy
They look great! Good info about the transfer of the graphic.
Very cool!
Important note: for the image transfer you need to print the image backwards in order for it to show up correctly on your project!
cool make as always sir!!
Great project and more compliments to Dan.
Nice J cut at the table saw
Good eye (ear)!
Wow check out the edit on this video 😍 very entertaining 👍👍😎
Nicely done, sir!
The music in this video was on another level

Really like your project.
Well done.
PS: Please tell Ken Craft to open a store in Wisconsin.
The Drunken Woodworker is Back!!

2: legit thought you were about to inhale a handful of sawdust
3: glue up montage music had me thinking I slipped into an E&K video

I went to Ken Craft Tuesday for the first time. What a fantastic place ! Plus, great video as always 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice build! Those 3 pieces of wood stuck to your shirt were super distracting though 😂

❤️ it!
Que perfeição , parabéns,👍🇧🇷
Bought the matte gel. Will be practicing dremel skills, since my glowforge is on layaway.
Another great video and project.
Excellent work 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Make something rocks. As always
Thank you!

Something I've thought about but haven't come up with a unique design yet. I'm sure I will!
Make Something awesome, I’ll be the first to buy it/plans from you.
That's a great laser- what kind is it?
Looks like a few folks, like myself, have a laser that needs service to bring it I to existence. Thanks for the laser printer technique.
David,
What's with the menu\price board in the back ground?
I like the cartoons of Norm and Roy in the back ground.
Awesome!
My day rate is a million dollars. I have yet to sell anything but can't wait until I do!
Nice Nike!
Where did you get your laser engraver?
Checked it!!!! Awesome idea and video...
I loved this. Perfect for Christmas. Have you uploaded this earlier? I think I've seen this project
Beautiful and elegant gift idea! Another great video showcasing the finger joints. Kudos to Camera Dan yet again! Stellar filming! How do we get more information on your upcoming craft show?
please I want to make a project of box for 6 glasses, do you have any idea how to do ?
Was expecting *_sand in the place where you live_*
I was not disappointed.
Sorry I’ve never been first, anyway love your videos, keep up the good work!
Welcome to the First Club! Once you get 3 "Firsts" you'll get a members jacket!
Make Something I've got that same Jacket from my wife! 🤣
Nice video brother. Very very sweet headshot, you gotta make some shirts.
Would you mind sharing the dimensions of your shop?
I forget. Maybe 20x22. Somewhere around there.
Im considering a Sawstop, but i notice that many RUclipsrs dont use their installed blade dust collection gard as well as they don't use a mask. Is the undertable dust collection really that good?

@@MakeSomething Thank you. That makes perfect sense. I appreciate your reply.
why not cutting stopped grooves in the short pieces for the back as well?
That’s an option.
Great box. And I think I saw a video from you very long time ago about another wine box. Am I correct?
What are all the dimensions you used?
Can anyone recommend a laser printer keeping in mind that this is the only thing it will be used for? Thank you
Can you please tell me the outside dimensions of this box
How do you set up your handplanes?
Most likely the wrong way since I don't use them very much.
That would also be a nice way of gifting Velveeta cheese
With how sensual this video was and how velveeta cheese commercials are I think a sponsorship is his next big move.
I guess I need to start on Xmas presents now so that I don't have crunch it all in last minute.
What are the dimensions you used
Glass of wine I thought the drunken woodworker was dead.
Since you can throw your wood on the floor when you have carpet.... :)
I found it! Camera Dan!
And we have a winner!
What's the craft show you;re doing? I'll definitely need to stop by 😃
Is that new David picciuto music? I like it
Yep!
That soft focus.... sensual music. Watching those curls fly out of the plane was downright sexy!
👀 👀the deli board- I was looking for it ever since I hard about it on #makingitpodcast
Holy Toledo Piccuto! You're just copying the highly successful RUclipsr The Drunken Woodworker!
Nice update, great camera work, loving this new style fellas!
Zombs royale UI
I still prefer the Drunken Woodworker though...
