Comparing the S & T four irons at 13:50 in the video... I don't notice any head size difference. However, it does look like the grooves are 1/8" or so wider.
I getting fit on Tuesday and dying w anticipation to try me some ping blueprint 😍 I’ve been playing 10 years and this is my first set where I kinda have a swing so could get interesting. Currently play ping G400s still and I still like em but out of the rough I still have trouble w the bulkyness of them. Ok I suck in the rough and I’m blaming the clubs lol
I'm thinking of adding BPT PW to 8 iron to blend with my i230 set, any comments? Love the i230s but would like to have a bit smaller club size in scoring irons
i personally prefer a slightly firmer blade. i had a set of 221/223’s, and i couldn’t stand the long irons. just felt soft and spinny on every strike. but the blueprints are by far the best iron sets out this year imo.
i just switched to these from the z forged, and i found these to be hotter, but vastly more consistent. caught way too many hot balls with the z forged which ended up killing me for tournaments
@ i’m loving my blueprints. ended up going mostly S, but with a 230 4 and 5, simply because i needed a wider sole due to my delivery. i may go back and toss some t’s in the short irons, and replace the 5iron with an S, but they’re absolutely tremendous so far
@@Captainchaos14 Most pros play Blueprint S in short irons, I believe. I just tend to hit a lot of thin shots when the sole is too wide. I should see a short game coach. Instead, I'm getting Blueprints 😅
Thanks Scott! I would think BPS will be a bit more consistent over 0317T in shorter clubs just due to construction. IMO what could be cool is BPS 6/7-PW and 0317T 5/6-4.
Ordered the 3and 4 iron in February it's now June and there still not here apparently because I asked for x100 soft stepped they haven't been able to get the shafts as one of the biggest companies in golf it just doesn't make sense I did try and order the rest of the set 5 to PW this week but was told they wouldn't be available till September also asked about upgrading the shafts to s400 tour issues and was quoted £75 per club so that's a definite no
thats what i found with them. i switched from them into an s and t combo set for that very reason. killed me on to many shots in tournament play. one particular shot i remember was a seven from 185 that flew the green by 15 yards, and i made double
@@derekcarday absolutely love them. got sent a set of t100’s, sold them after ten swings at the range. haven’t hit the wilson’s to know enough about them. the titleist just felt super dead and clunky, and dug a ton on me.
For Blueprint T guys, from what I’ve seen a lot of those Ping staffers have decent amount of left path/forward shaft lean through impact. For Blueprint S guys, as I mentioned, I believe they play with a bit less bounce than T and don’t require as much lean/can be more easily played in firmer conditions.
Not sure about “overhyped”… That said, I think a lot of people felt these would be absolutely amazing for everyone and I don’t necessarily find that to be the case. I would say they are definitely more “specific need” type irons based on my initial testing here.
@@TheEquipmentJunkie I'm surprised by that. I played T150 and MP 243 and found them too clunky through the turf. Playing ZX7 MKII now which is amazing but don't feel as nice as MP 243 and not as tidy at address. Heard ZXi7 has a thicker sole so that's out. I'm lost. Any suggestions?
One of the most intelligent and cogent comparisons/analysis of the i230, Blueprint S and T irons ! Superbly informative! Thanks so much!
one good thing about the extra small blade is advantages out of rough. big reason why Finau was #1 from rough

It’s really hard to beat these in terms of a slightly firmer feeling blade imo!
Great reviews.
Glad you're enjoying them!!
Is there any specific tests/reviews you'd like to see in the future?
Good review as always. I love the look of the S irons. I just wish I could afford them.
Appreciate the support! For the most part, BPS is a really clean looking iron for sure!

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a combo set of these from ZX7. How they working out for you?

@@Captainchaos14 Cool. I'm looking T for P, 9 and S 8 - 5. I love having a thin sole for chips, bump and runs, and knockdowns. Thanks for the info.
@ absolutely. i prefer a thinner sole, but the turf where i live is so soft all year round just a little wider sole makes it miles easier

Tremendous video. I need to try these against my 0317 t’s

Z-forged ii can occasionally get hot on the center just a heads up. cool clubs did a vid on it.

@@Captainchaos14 interesting. t100 maybe a bit better in firm conditions. Blueprints seem pretty good in firm too though!
@@derekcarday could be. but they copied the. vokey sole on the t100’s, and i absolutely despise vokey wedges, so that may also play a factor
I'm surprised at how many tour players are putting these in the bag in firm conditions then.
