Great video. I've been playing the TSR2 for a good year or more. I recently compared it head to head vs the GT2 and for me the difference was minimal if any. I compared different lofts equally and the spins were within 100. If it matters, I am 68 and my speeds are 126mph average. I actually like the sound of the TSR better than the GT. For me, I will be keeping the TSR. Thanks for your videos.

I like the comparison, but the 2nd putter to go on every length had the advantage because you know the line, so what are you really comparing? Take the competition out of it.

What is your 7 iron swing speed? Was it modus 115x? Is that butt/tip stiff with a softer mid?

I hated the QI10 max, hated the shape, felt super light, and I’d just didn’t work for me at all. The “core” model for me personally was the best of the 3. Owned all three, and ended up selling all 3. I’m a huge tinkerer, just a hobby of mine I guess. I don’t let it effect my actual bag, unless I find something worth replacing something. For now the driver is the only club I’m changing, so I just picked up a GT2. Probably gonna hit it tomorrow. I have hit it already, just not the one I actually bought. Hoping it works out, cause I really like the way it looks.

That small clip of him showing his crank driver near the start of the vid was his own what’s in his bag . He didn’t show one avoda club. Lots of ping , LA golf putter his crank driver but no avoda . So I’m confused.

If you are looking for a Driver with Forgiveness. DO NOT look at LS, LST or ◇◇◇ Models. Drives me up the wall when guys start moving weights around trying to make their Low Spin Clubs be more forgiving. IT Completely Defeats The Purpose. Just buy a Max or Regular version of that club. 😅

Back when I first retired, I was all about traveling and splurging on things like this. But as inflation hit harder, I had to cut back. Even with some adjustments, those early withdrawals are tough to recover from. Now, I’m more focused on stretching my savings, and being more mindful about money even down to my gear upgrades, definitely a challenge I didn’t fully see coming

Manufacturers were doing a lot of marketing years ago, but today it is off the chain. Oh but technology, ok yeah, but mostly the balls. Bottom line, you can’t go into a pro shop and buy a game. That is the illusion that manufacturers present to the public constantly. I don’t buy the hype. Your money is better spent practicing. Home technology is a big advancement because you can visually pick your swing apart. Beyond all of that, spend a boatload of time on and around a putting green because that is better than 60% of your game. Oh yeah, you don’t need a $1000 putter either.

Irons back in the day were bulged. Go look at old irons. This was because balls spun more.

I’m starting to lean into the idea of one length irons, I’ve just been struggling with consistency recently going from 5 iron to PW. Bryson has definitely helped revolutionize the game as far as beginning to normalize one length irons and other crazy gear changes

SO bryson has less loft because he has to much spin? So he uses a 7 iron with loft like me 5 iron. Make sense now that he hits it so far

I recently bought a new TSR3 with a Graphite Design UB shaft. First round with it on the course, I hit my longest drives ever on 4 of the holes and by a long ways. I’m 65 and I was literally 50-60 yards longer than the rest of my group on those holes. My older Srixon ZX7 was averaging 230 yards. I was hitting the TSR3 270 plus on good swings.

I have a set of old "Controller Irons." Same concept. Roll & bulge technology. Everyone called them a gimmick, except my golf buddies that used to pay me three times a week.

Use these irons for a few weeks and go back to your regular light irons and you’ll be hitting all your irons far as fuck lol

I'd like to have seen you have that iron head with a shaft and grip with the right swingweight for you to feel comfortable and hit better. I think they could make a slightly less bulged set of irons for quite a lot of people

So his grips are 120g? Would this be any different if his clubs were all same length? I hit x100s 130g x stiff and have high speed and am wondering if the jumbo heavy grips would benefit me the same with non same length irons? Can I get your 2 cents
