I know everyone wants to hit perfect shots during these videos, but it is great to see some variation. It really provides another level of information for the viewer. Thanks.
Thank you for watching!
love that this guy is fitting Drew on grass
I have seen James in a few fitting videos from Ping, always dapper and knowledgeable as a book. Excellent stuff James👌
Swing looked great. The fitter showcased his fitting knowledge, experience, and skill. Very educational, thanks for the great content.
Love watching James do his thing! Kudos as well on the best youtube golf video outro music.
@2ndswing that was an excellent piece of content, Drew. Whilst I know it was "all about the clubs", which look fantastic, I'm rather keen to know how you swing a 7i at 94 mph while looking like you are in 'warm-up' mode.
Thanks Drew, keep up the good work
Fitting off turf! What luxury:)
Swinging great Drew! Fitter has a great vibe and speaking tone, doesnt talk down.
Very informative session. Love the approach to the fitting. Highlighted the design and tech of each model.
This is the first time I’ve heard about lofts being decreased and it made sense. Well played Ping
James is one talented fitter.
I was able to hit the T today and I was surprised by how well I hit them and how they reacted to slightly off centered strikes. I play Srixon Zx7 mk2 currently. When comparing the two of them the T had a smaller dispersion for me. It also had a softer better feel IMO. I am by no means a great ball striker either but I’d say they preformed better than the Zx7s even with a noticeable smaller club size… maybe it was just new club luck. 😅
nice swing there skipper, very nice!!
PING is just the best !!
Would have liked to see if there was a difference with the T irons with the power spec.
Great fitting and review. The BP-S is going to be the Players Iron of the Year.
You might be right about that...
Love watching a great Iron fit session. Those S's have my attention......my S58's are in for a hard time if the new S line is as legit as they look!
They ARE as legit as they look! Although those S58s have really stood the test of time haven't they - Drew
They certainly have. I do need a wee bit more "help" these days in the 4/5/6 irons though but from 7/8/9/P the S58 still produces DARTS. @@2ndswing
Good stuff drew!
Thanks for watching, Dave!
What shaft model did you use?
Curious to know what was the shaft used? Also 94 mph 7 iron club speed wow 😮 @2ndswing
What do you compare the 243 mizuno to and what fo u compare the blueprint S. Too
Good swing drew.
How do the Blueprint T compare to the S55 for longer irons like 3 iron?
Hrmm wonder if these are an upgrade from i230 for a high single digit cap
I play the i230's now, got to mess around with a Blueprint T demo last night and I might get 7-PW to offset the i230's.
Exactly what I'm thinking of doing, if it doesn't end up being a combo of the Ts and Ss. - Drew
How does the “s” compare to the i59 in size?
I own a set of i230's that I was fit for, but the reality is that while they are the most forgiving heads I've ever played the shafts do not fit me. I want to like them but they are probably going to be sold. Wish Ping and 2nd swing had a greater presence in the PNW for fitting options.
How would you compare the i59 to the blueprint S? Would you consider these to be geared for similar level golfer?
Great question! From my experience, the i59 is a little bit smaller and more blade-like than the Blueprint S. I would say the i59 is right in the middle of the Blueprint S and Blueprint T in about every category - Drew
God they sound good!
Power spec is just making the club stronger, imo. I think you take those out on the course and all your distances would be way off, I’d stick with the current modern specs.
What shaft were you using in this fitting? LZ?
Project X LZ 6.5 yes, which is the model in my previous iron set. - Drew
I love my i210s, but the i230s never really grabbed me. In my hands I found they were a little lower spin than the i210s and I had more control with my i210s.
The Blueprint S irons look beautiful to me, a bit small but (probably) still playable whereas T variants are scary small, I could not imagine hitting a 5i with them. Really like the consistency of lofts between i230s, Blueprint T and Blueprint S I do not intend to replace my i210s but I could be persuaded!
the i210s are fantastic...if they're working, keep em! You're correct about the Blueprint S irons being absolutely beautiful and a bit smaller than i210. They also are a bit softer feeling. Think we'll see lots of combo sets with the Blueprints
So, did Drew end up with BP S’s in his bag?
Tiger is Nike free, would love to see him in all Ping gear in his older age. Viktor Hovland take my money. Has he put these in the bag yet?
the s is wayyyy more forgiving then i thought after hitting both
TF this guy wearing ?
